This channel is what the Internet needs these days. Something to remind us that it's worth looking for the good in things even if they aren't what we wanted them to be.
Damn another great video! Ive only seen this movie once (in theaters) and I wrote it off as just barely ok and I started to agree with people calling it disappointing. But youve made me appreciate this film much more, it still has problems and shouldve been much better but Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and especially Batfleck and Superman were all well acted and were great. Aquaman was funny and badass, I thought Flash was annoying for some reason but after seeing this video I remembered finding him funny. Affleck was great again and Superman was fantastic. His character development was completed from Man of Steel to here, it payed off. Steppenwolf was a bad villain and yeah he is basically Ronan, hopefully Darkseid delivers. I hope Affleck stays, hes my favourite Batman. Also the CGI was very lame especially for the 300 million budget like you said "PS3 visuals".
I kinda want a SteppenWolf (I definitely didn’t spell that correctly) 🆚 Ultron stand up comedy routine off even though that’s probably not a real thing.
@@alwaysxnever Same. He had a lot of potential. That scene on Amazon Island was what he should have been. An unstoppable killing force who doesn't even understand or care that much about humanity or anything else for that matter. He wants his mother boxes so he can dominate. Simple, but effective. That dialogue displayed that well.
You missed batman’s sigh of relief after flash caught his batarang. Shows that he knew he was taking a risk that barry could catch it and be wouldnt hurt him
Yeah, that bit with Barry's expression turning somewhat horrified as Supes eyes and head turn to keep up with his movement was arguably the best part of the movie. You aren't surprised that the scene happens, but it's still great to watch. He's an unsure geek who was at least certain about his superior speed, but finds out the baddest badass (former?) hero can keep up with him.
Right! That's a special thing for a movie to accomplish. We all expect, and sort of want to see Supes be able to track his movements but it's still so much fun when it actually happens. I'd like to see it at full speed. If you think about it, if Supes had been holding Batman when he threw everyone away, he would have turned to mush from the G-Force.
Reminds me of a scene in the Clockstoppers (2002) movie. The hypertime kids are helping a friend put on a show as a disc jockey by improving his 'moves' (read: they're cheating on his behalf, but that's not important). In reality, if they actually moved him that fast they would have dislocated like, every joint in his body and turned his insides to mush. Especially that time they turned his neck around. Yeah, no, they killed their friend. They are now playing with a meat puppet corpse, I don't care how well it ended in the movie. It's a fun movie, but it's certainly a case of Hollywood physics at play. Also: Senpai noticed me! *squee*
and i find it even better because this is the first time literally ever that they actually show him being super fast, usually it's too hard to write so they just straight up ignore his super speed in fights, but this time we finally get a reveal of superman putting in effort, and yes, the flash should have precisely that reaction to someone being able to perceive him, and I'm so glad that not everyone is underrating this moment because i fully agree it's the best thing a live action dc movie has done
Eh the only reason Supes can keep up is because this Barry hasn't explored his full potential. It's been well established that many of the flashes, including Barry, are WAY faster than Superman. Still a good scene, but hopefully people don't think that Superman is actually faster than Flash because of that scene.
As a huge dceu fan, I was let down when i seen this the first time in theaters but after watching a few times at home, it grew on me. That Superman vs JL scene will never get old. And after watching this video, I think I like it even more. But I'm sure the Snyder cut would kick it's ass.
@Shawn Kuhn They were not going past lightspeed. The faster you are, the more the things around you slow down. This has been how it works in DC stuff such as the Smallville show and CW The Flash
Anthony Cruz No. you misread my comment. It’s nice to see him find genuinely positive things to say about a movie that goes beyond “it’s good and everyone who doesn’t think so is wrong.”
TheNew TH-camr Yes. I thought the effects were horrendous for a $300 million dollar movie, most of the characters were a little one note, and the plot as a whole felt a little inconsequential. Also, the fact that Superman destroying Steppenwolf in two hits makes the rest of the league unnecessary. And the fact they established you can use the kryptonian ship and a mother box that they kept at the end to bring anyone back to life removes all stakes from future installments.
I really like Flash's lightning in this movie, how it actually arcs to walls and objects and looks like actual lightning, it's different to the series' lightning and I don't know which I like better
Me (a huge DC comics and even movie fan) before seeing this review: "Oh my God this movie looks awful. I don't wanna see it" Me after seeing this review: "You know...maybe it warrants at least one viewing." You got a gift man, you see the positivity in things even when it's so damn hard. Keep doing what you're doing, we actually need more people like you around.
Cris P. Bacon I think you’re delusional thinking this movie is as terrible as you’re trying to imply but hey you’re also a blank avatar so that says a lot
Cris P. Bacon He’s really good at making you rewatch a movie you may not have liked the first time. That’s why I love this channel, it’s so refreshing to see someone praise movies instead of constantly tearing them down. Although I do love me some Cinema Snob.
I just loved the fact that Atlantis guarded the all-evil cube thingy with like four guards and the Amazons had like 500 warriors pointing their weapons at it at all times XD
Probably had something to do with their King being AWOL 97% of the time. Whereas Hippolyta and her Amazons are all about that whole "doing our duty" thing.
@@Mallfunction From now on, all world ending doomsday McGuffins will be tossed into random holes in the middle of the woods, buried and left the fudge alone
😂😂😂😂 after 2 years still trying to fix your shit movie lol , and besides it will still suck anyway lol look what Zack did to Man of steel , BvS imagine what he do to Justice League lol Dc should just give up they suck (ect)
I liked this movie, but the best part for me is the flash and Diana, but they really downplayed wonder Woman's power and abilities so that the enemy seemed stronger and to make Superman their Deus Ex.
MUI SSB4 Brandon i hated how steppenwolf stood his ground 1v4 but lost 1v1 to super man. Like when i first saw the movie my reaction was (all they needed was cyborg to stop the mother box and superman to fight steppenwolf) everyone else looked like filler Batman being made to look like a guy with a suit when in comics hes so much more aquaman and wonder woman just looked like powered fighters to me and the flash was "neat" i dont know why that was my perspective. What did you think about the heros in general?
@@thegoodlord9914 I think that Wonder Woman and Flash are definitely the best characters in the movie, Aquaman is kinda just there, he doesn't really contribute to the plot, Batman just seems to be there so people can relaterelate to how it'd be to fight alongside Superheroes and Superman is basically their Deus Ex Machina, while Cyborg just seems to be there so he can pull the Motherboard thing apart and generally I liked the Batman from dark Knight better, Superman from Smallville is my favorite, The flash is fine and Wonder Woman is great.
Very unpopular request, but would you be able to do Everything Great about Hancock? Edit: I only thought that it was unpopular because I hadn’t seen anyone request it before me, but it’s really cool that people share the same opinion about the film as me 😊
I like CinemaSins but the fact that your channel still has under one million subs and that one has over 7 million kinda shows me the acidic nature of viewer culture today. But I got faith, I'm with ya on that journey to the millions my man. I really admire that in a sea of profiting from exposing the negative, you choose to highlight the positive. Inspires me as a content creator.
Gabe Patton - Not really. You seen the CinemaSins video for Mad Max Fury Road? Almost everything he says in that review is complete bullshit, because it's either wrong or gets explained later in the movie and he just ignores it.
I think I've watched this movie about 5 times now and I still don't hate it. In fact, I liked it enough to feel really bad about the Affleck and Cavill situations. You just can't casually do recastings when you're already at this point in the game.
Cavill's still an odd situation. Some sources say he's definitely out, but Cavill or his agents have yet to confirm such a thing. Affleck did come out and say it, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get it. Between his second(and third) attempt at being in a superhero franchise being critically panned and constantly being bombarded about involvement in The Batman, I'd probably want to just say "screw it" too. It sucks though, because even many of the BvS and JL haters enjoyed Affleck's performance. I also hate that WB has been learning the wrong lessons from their failures in this franchise. People aren't hating this being a connected universe. We just want to see it fleshed out more. But the execs at WB just keep making all the wrong choices. Suicide Squad being edited by a trailer editing company rather than the actual film crew, BvS getting half an hour gutted, and then all of the nonsense with JL. They cut out so much of this movie. Very little backstory or development for the new heroes. The tone shifted maybe a little too much. And while I don't hate Elfman's score...I would've liked to hear Junkie XL's take on it.
@@Anduril74871 I'd say WB's biggest mistake was trying so hard to recreate the MCU. DC wasn't seen as a joke until the DCEU flopped and they've dug themselves a pretty deep hole that they're going to have to grind to get out of. They didn't spend nearly enough time getting the DCEU together and felt like they had to rush Justice League out because Infinity War was coming out soon.
@@hyperbiscuit2284 It certainly didn't help that insecure Marvel Fanboys were the ones most loudly proclaiming that DCEU would suck. They didn't help at all. In fact, by yammering so loudly online, and in public, they got exactly what they wished for, because GOD FORBID anybody try to keep up with Marvel! DCEU flopped early on because they TRIED TOO HARD TO BE MARVEL! It showed. And that does not impress movie fans. Especially not ones with such hard-core emotional investment in the source material. Still, taking into account just what a disaster 2 of DC's first 3 superhero films were (I thought Man of Steel was amazing. It's BvS and JLA that wrecked the big picture), DC, with help from Warner Brothers, has kept at it. Instead of just "giving up" to the landslide of hate, they're still plugging away at the monstrosity that Disney is becoming. Relentlessly, in fact. That alone is admirable. But top that effort off with the undeniable fact that WB is getting better at this superhero film thing. Wonder Woman was the first step to them effectively branching out of their "Batman/Superman" safety corner that they've been huddled in for decades. But then they followed it up with Aquaman (not amazing, but still entertaining, and a worthy nod to that character), and Shazam (which had LOADS OF POTENTIAL to be god-awful, but is actually one of the best films WB has put out in the DCEU pantheon thus far). And they've done this by being nothing more than faithful for the baseline of the characters in each film (instead of, you know, swinging relentlessly for homeruns like Marvel tries to do with every one of their movies). What's come out can hardly be called "groundbreaking", or "amazing", but it CAN be called "now THIS is DC!" Because each of the past three films since Justice League left theaters have been faithful to the character of DC Comics. They're not meant to be Marvel. They're best at what they do. And what they do is entertain on a much more lighthearted, benign note than their competitor does. (As well as on a much less "sciencey" note.)
@shindark, now I wasn’t on the internet much when the dceu was announced, but I rarely saw an ounce of hate towards these movie until AFTER they were released. And I doubt most of them were “whining marvel fanboys.” Many of them were from dc fans as well. I never real any saw any doubt towards WB or DC until they gathered a reputation for BvS, SS, and JL. It was obvious they were trying to copy marvels formula for success without actually understanding what made it work. How is it admirable to make sucky films that promises you a good story, and then don’t... just because it’s taking away attention from the people that are actually trying? That seems entirely disingenuous. Like, I get Disney is making nearly all the money these days but I don’t see a problem with it as long as they’re putting out quality content. And love or hate the MCU, it’s obvious that they have garnered a following. And it’s not just a pathetic cult of screaming fanboys. Most of them have actually been engaged and moved by their stories. Why? Because the people behind them knew what they had to do to build an audience. However, I do agree that DC is getting better (although slight correction, only 2 films have been released after JL not 3). Wonder Woman showed what could work and while it was too late to save justice league, at least aquaman and SHAZAM! got their act together
clericneokun theoretically they could use Flashpoint to do so where even though the Flash "fixes" the timeline there are still things that didn't go back together the same way they did before so now Bruce looks different (or maybe Bruce died and someone else took over the mantle like Dick, or Tim, or Damien, or Jason, or Terry) and maybe Superman looks different or maybe it was Kara that came to earth instead. So they could still recast but it does suck that it is necessary to do so.
I watch a lot of different content on youtube and I can honestly say that I enjoy watching CinemaWins more than anything else, this content is top-tier
Yeah, these days all people like to do is complain about how a movie ruined their lives. It's so refreshing to see somebody take a calm, level-headed approach to watching movies instead of whining about nonexistent flaws (unlike TLJ haters....)
I've watched this movie, countless times, now. From a pure enjoyment standpoint, I still had a good time, and cannot call this a terrible film. Could it and should it have been better? Absolutely. But as a fan of comics, huge fan of DC Comics, and as someone who enjoys movies, my only disappointments are: 1) the people in charge of WB/DC seem like they actively work against the properties, 2) the limited scope of the film, 3) the reception (true, I will like the things I like, regardless, but the noise doesn't help) 4) and the perception of DC following this. The film, however, I still enjoy, despite it's flaws.
Now with the true vision that is *Zack Snyder's Justice League* released worldwide, I absolutely cannot wait for your "Everything GREAT About Zack Snyder's Justice League"
I felt like the only person who really, really enjoyed this movie. Steppenwolf was a really underwhelming villain, but it was just so fun to see the JL on the big screen. I just wish it was clear where the DCEU was heading from this point. Its future looks rocky at best, and that just breaks my heart.
Hello, I am from the future and the DCEU is going to be in good hands from now on. We are getting Zack Snyder's Justice League and Josstice League is considered not canon by both fans and directors at DC.
I am shocked at how much I loved Affleck as Batman. My first thought was, this is going to be embarrassing, but I loved him. And I was really hoping they would go Batman Beyond, it seemed like that was where they were going.
The way I looked at it was that Christian Bail made a great Batman but wasn't a great Bruce Wayne, except for in batman begins, but Ben Affleck was a great Bruce Wayne just not the greatest Batman. It's one of the few superheroes who really does have an alter ego and you can't just get away with it for Batman.
@@gibster9624 that was how I saw it too. Which is why a Batman Beyond take would have worked well with Affleck. The older Bruce training and mentoring a younger Batman. That would have been fresh.
i just dont feel like this batman isn't the one i remember, if that makes sense. like the batman i remember was super smart, scary, and didn't show any emotion upfront. and this new one ( no hate to the actor, i love him) doesn't really hit that for me
I think everyone over-stress how bad it is. Sometimes it can look bad and unnatural but most of the time it’s barely noticeable if your not looking for it.
Bombird 88 - Agreed, except for that first scene. I immediately noticed that atrocity of an upper lip. I didn't even hear about the contract or whatever, and I knew there was something up with that lip. Later in the movie it was okay, though.
Which is a shame, most comic accurate live action Batman on screen to date (not counting Adam West... yes the 60's comics were exactly that camp and cheesey).
Something that really bugs me about Superman's treatment in the "He's not alright" scene is that I truly don't think that Superman is Kal-el. He's Clark Kent. I know they kind of played a little bit with that when they brought in Lois, but it's something that I think would have added to the development in his character that you pointed out. The thing that makes him Superman is that he was Clark first. He had a home and a family that gave him the grounding in Earth and humanity that he embraces and cherishes and instilled the belief in truth and justice. I really appreciate that Bruce figured it out in BvS, but I would have very much liked to see more and that's my biggest hope for DC going forward, to be honest.
Yeah me man.cant wait.martian manhunter😎 hope they fix batman fangirling over supermans return though.that ruined it for me.batman fighting deathstroke should redeem that shitty scene.
@cristina Banuelos Zack Snyder's version of Justice League. He was replaced by Joss Whedon during the theatrical release, and only 20% of Zack's footage remained.
Anybody here after the release of the Snyder Cut? It would be really cool if he does a 6 part video covering each part, takes work but will definitely be worth the wait💯
Flash: "I know we're all thinking the same thing right now. Who's gonna say it? I'm not gonna say it." Cyborg: * projects Everything GREAT About Zack Snyder's Justice League Part 1 & 2 *
There is so much negativity around everything DC/WB puts out, it gets really tiring to try to make a positive point. Thank you for trying, CinemaWins. Thank you also for pointing out what I have tried to convey in every post I've made about every DCEU movie, and that is that WB has done everything wrong. they have not trusted their directors (Snyder and Ayers), they put an edict on JL that it must not run longer than 2 hours (for more daily showings), which tied Snyder's hands when it came to showing a backstory for the various heroes (Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash) who we were introduced to in this movie BTW, there may be some who do not know that Billy Crudup (Henry Allen) played Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen, so they may miss your clever quip near the beginning about transporting to Mars. . .
@Bernie Sanders WB Meddled with BvS as well. They originally showed the extended cut to critics etc and then when the theater version came out they chopped it up and reduced the run time. Murderman? was Superman ever convicted? You do realize he has killed before in the comics which you are probably the standards you are holding him to. I am still confused about Hypocriteman, not sure how he is a hypocrite.
@Bernie SandersBatman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is literally one of, if not THE one, the best superhero films to EVER come out. The only hack I'm seeing here is you, you are saying that a filmmaker should not follow his dreams and visions and a studio should be a dictatorship. That's not how it works, man.
It's really easy to get consumed by hate blogs and rant videos when a movie isn't 100% like your childhood comics and cartoons. It takes the fun out of things and goes a bit too far. So I'm really glad for this channel. Positivity is always better than bitter negativity.
Steel Bear Snyder is to the DCEU what Thalidomide is to babies. Just abort it, throw Snyder in the trash along with the remains of the franchise and try for a new one.
Keep doing what you doing, my man. In this world, chock-full of hate, snark, online abuse, hate, hate and hate!, it's nice to see something positive. I bet you that if you do a research, you will find that 90% or even more of the stuff about cinema on the web is negative. I don't know if it's the same with music and books, but there's something......*off* about many film "lovers" and especially younger film critics. They seem to thrive on hate and snark. It's like they don't even like movies. Every new movie that is popular is immediately "Da worst movie ever made!!! ". Or.........."Da best movie ever made!" Lol! Also, a lot of film fans don't seem to realize that when it comes to appreciating cinema, it is ALL completely subjective. Matter of opinion and personal preference. For one person out on the street The Godfather is the greatest piece of cinema. For the other person on the street it's the most boring and pretentious piece of crap in history. It's the same with all other movies. Me personally, I've decided to be positive about cinema. I don't trash, I don't bash. If I don't like a certain movie, I don't dwell on it. I focus my attention on movies I actually like. I'm almost never disappointed anyway, because I choose what I watch carefully. And it really works for me. In the end, let me quote Kevin Smith: "Every movie is someone's favorite movie." Let's keep that in mind, fellow film fans. Cheers!
Support Film Art Ultimately, I don't think we can ever judge a movie "objectively" when it comes to entertainment value. People can believe whatever they want, but the reality is that one movie can earn all the Oscars in the world and there will always be someone who doesn't like it. My point is, if you hate a movie everybody else likes, deal with it and move on, and if you like a movie everybody else hates, don't be ashamed of it. Everybody has different tastes.
yutube jode Where in my comment did I say that you can't voice your opinion? I never said that. You can absolutely share your opinion on a movie. But.......... there is a right way to share an opinion, and a wrong way to share an opinion. And by the way, your subjective opinion on this movie - or on any movie - is not a fact. Opinions on art are not facts. They never were and they never will be. Same goes for critics, same goes for every person out there. To you, this movie sucks. To the guy next to you in the street it's an awesome action movie. And guess what - his opinion is just as valid as your opinion. Keep that in mind. Always.
In this edition of "old man yells at cloud", we tackle the subject of young movie buffs. Are they prone to bandwagon on films? Are they more likely to rebel against movies due to the film's popularity? Tune it tonight at 11!
Great things about Justice League 1 The Zack Snyder Intro 2 The Action in Themecyra 3 The First encounter with Justice League and Stepphenwolf 4 Superman returning evil & fighting the Justice league 5 Everything Zack Snyder That's it
The only tolerable parts are 100% Snyder goodness, and even then the shitty CGI, Elfman's abhorrant score and some of Whedon's replaced dialogue infests them at times.
How do you guys even know which is Whedon or which is Snyder in this movie. Snyder definitely wanted to go into the lighter route with this film, u can tell from all of the trailers before the joss whedon involvement announcement.
Abbey Bominable BUT Snyder's films are always deep, detailed and serious. He'd have made the film lighter without making it campy and corny. Justice League is the most simplistic, safe and corny comic book movie I've seen and that's all on what WB and Whedon did to it. For the record, I don't hate Whedon (I think Avengers 1 is OK and really like Age of Ultron) but he inarguably ruined this film.
What I actually like most of this movie is its tone. In terms of tone, I thought it was a step in the right direction. _Wonder Woman _*_did_* set the standard for the DCEU in general, but the tone and interactions between the characters felt closer to the _Justice League_ movie I really wanted to see. Could've the movie been better? Oh, Hell, yeah. But I feel it's a tad better than the haters are smashing it for.
I prefer the tone set by MoS and BvS (WW was good too, I enjoyed it) mainly because that's what sets it apart from the MCU. The MCU has its darker moments, like Infinity War or in Civil War when Stark learns Bucky killed his parents, but overall they're still fairly lighthearted. DC has always had a more dark and serious/grounded in reality aspect (a bit ironic, since many of their characters are godlike), but I enjoy that part about it. The lighthearted tone in Justice League could work, but I feel it doesn't simply because it's almost a complete contrast from BvS, which is the film that precedes it. ESPECIALLY with Batman. Batman is not a lighthearted character in any way, but in Justice League it felt like he was trying too hard to be Tony Stark, which isn't good. I enjoy Marvel and DC movies, but they shouldn't try to be like the other when it comes to stuff like this.
i thin k it shows what's wrong with dceu and hollywood that they didnt base the new dceu movies around wonder woman. She is a HUGE hit and people only watch the other movies for her..(her movies and character are actually good). Theyve kinda played batman out they need to make her their tony stark and bring in good likeable characters. And depower the hell out of superman.
Pretty sure every rational fan prefers the serious and poetic tone than this light and corny. MoS set the tone very well, same with BvS. After most people saw Justice League, they learned to appreciate those 2 movies. Just ages better than most.
I think critics were being a little too harsh with this movie. The CG and villain could be better but the character interactions and jokes are right on point. It wasn’t a terrible movie and it wasn’t amazing. 7/10 pretty good.
Yeah. Considering what they had to work with and what the studio demanded of them, I think they did a great job. I mean it's nothing compared to the miracle that is Power Rangers RPM (see Linkara's History of Power Rangers RPM Part 1 for why that SHOULD have been an utter train wreck) but still.
For me it was more that they marketed it as having all of the same dramatic weight as The Avengers, having put in none of the necessary legwork. Plus the fact that anyone who had grown up with Warner Bros. DC Animated Universe had been PINING for a Justice League movie for years, and from that perspective the response was a definite "THIS is all they could give us?!"
I didn’t like this movie at all but your optimism made me see that it’s not so bad. It’s actually good enough to be called...a good movie. This is why I fucking love you, man. Oh, btw, could you try an EGA Coraline?
By the power of Greyskull, I command you to hear my request. Please do Treasure Planet. It's a film about Space Pirates and growing beyond your past. I am 87% certain that you will love it.
I fell like there should've been a win for using the CW Flash theme (at least a subdued form of it) as well as the Gorilla Grodd reference anyone else?
Can't fault Snyder for walking away due to family tragedy, but I hate the studio with a passion for fighting him every step of the way through Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League. And I can't forgive them for exploiting Snyder's absence to turn the movie into a Marvel carbon copy. I mean, I like Whedon for a number of reasons, and I know Snyder brought him in to write some stuff on the movie already, but the studio obviously managed to strong-arm Whedon into killing Snyder's vision in post-production.
Whedon did say after the fact that Snyder's cut was "irredeemable". He has as much to do with this as WB. He was trusted with this and he squandered it. I highly doubt that WB strongarmed him into adding butt shots of Diana and Barry falling into her boobs. That's 10000% Whedon, and there's no excuse for that. WB fucked this by letting Whedon do what he wanted.
I'll give Joss credit for the,"do you bleed" call back and Elfman credit for Flash's motif. Most of the rest of the OST is trash and most of the comedy did not work me.
No win for the first time superman uses his ice breath? And no win for Steppenwolf saying darkseids name, being the first time we heard it in a live action movie? One more, how they introduce the green lantern Corp with a veeery obscure member? It's fine but i would have counted those
Hard Boiled Entertainment I see it as something he may of picked up after he was resurrected, that's why he didn't have it in the other movies. Plus I ment the win to go to it because it's a power from the comics, not how it fits in the story
Eden Gallagher He may have been the only one in the DC Comics lineup who actually had a concrete goal for the film universe. Now that he's not there, nobody seems to actually know what direction to go, and even fewer know how to make these films connect.
Disagree. This isn't the finale. This is just another chapter. This is their first time coming together, and they're not really a League yet. JL is a part of the universe building. Why do people keep talking about JL like it's Infinity War? It's not. This is only their 5th film in the DCEU. There's like 8 more films in the works. It's "earned" in that this is the first time they're coming together, and they're exposing all of their weaknesses and learning from them.
Candace Nicholson I'm not comparing it to infinity war but at least the first avengers. This is the finale of the first chapter, this is what the movies have been building to, except it was poorly built up
my friends and i saw it really late on a tuesday in our small towns theatre so we were the only people in the theatre, and we heckled and laughing loudly the whole time. it made the whole movie much more enjoyable. so it definitely has some redeemable moments.
Wonder Boy the thing is I always laugh a lot when watching anything superhero. I grew up loving the justice league cartoons and I love laughing when the bad guys get beat. The truth is this movie is kinda shallow, it hasn’t got much substance, but it nails the entertainment factor and that is a huge part of superhero storytelling. And this is coming from someone for whom iron man 2 is one of their favorite mcu movies
Sure the movie wasn't perfect (Spoiler alert, nothing is) but I think While Man of Steel and Wonder Woman (both) were worth a solid 8/10 and BvS a 7/10, I think I'll give Justice League a (let's say) 6,5/10
I cannot wait for you to get to Deadpool 2. So many brutal wins. And a possible saving the innocent win. I'll stop trying to write your video for you now.
11:11 what few people notice is that Barry is actually shown as faster than Superman in this scene. Clark has the proximity advantage and enough physical resistance to withstand Barry's push. Clark is considerably slowed down during this scene as Barry is much closer to relative normal pacing
I honestly like this movie for ONE reason: It feels and looks like a comic book! MCU is a master of bringing comics into the real world. DCEU is amazing at bringing the real world into the comics. Every shot has that feel that belongs in a comic and everyone plays their parts BEAUTIFULLY! Honestly I'm excited for the DCEU from this point on!
Y’know, I think there should be a “child enjoyment” meter for movies rated below R. The most amazing plot, perfect score and greatest cinematics could have a low rating because it was lacking in excitement.
To be fair, this comparison is rarely made with the comics. In fact, I'd say during its glory days (which seem to be over sadly, while DC is picking up speed again) Marvel comics had some stories that were so dark it made some serious Batman comics seem lighthearted.
Yes, yes, yes please YES! I've been waiting for that for so long. I say if he doesn't do it within the next, say 3 weeks, we'll start bombarding the comment section under EVERY video with as many requests for that as possible.
Man, Justice League had all the right pieces in place, and then WB screwed it all up because they only cared about the money. Personally, as it is, it's a perfectly decent movie, but it's painfully obvious that WB meddled in Snyder's work. It definitely had it's good things (Flash, Superman), but there was too much messiness (Steppenwolf, the CGI). As frustrating as BvS was, at least it felt like a Zack Snyder movie. I just wish WB had followed Snyder's vision to its full, logical conclusion. And just like Suicide Squad and BvS, this half-hearted attempt makes it harder to be excited for future entries. WB has now taken 3 team-up movies and squandered them for the sake of money. I'm not sure there's room for a fourth attempt; there's just too much wasted potential here. Oh, well, at least there's the MCU and Star Wars.
WiiManElite Yeah, whenever somebody doesn't like a movie these days, they choose to blame it all on the creators, especially those who had little to no control over the situation. Same thing with TLJ; if they didn't like it, that's on them, not the director (especially since Rian had total control over it).
D. J. What are you talking about? It’s Rian’s movie, he wrote it. And yes their is blame to be put on Justice League for how bad it is, and that blame is mostly put on Warner Bros. for their mishandling of the making of the film as well as their mishandling of the DCEU as a whole.
scifinerd17 No arguments here, bro. I definitely blame JL's and the DCEU's failings on WB. I mean that Whedon had little control over the situation, and he did the best he could with what he had to work with. He just had a lousy deadline and horrible management, unlike his two Avengers movies. And yet everybody likes to bash him for it even though it probably wouldn't have been much better if Snyder had stayed anyway. I may feel like Snyder gets too much of a hard time, but you have to question why they kept him on this whole time after his choices proved to be so controversial.
Jurassicparkrules96 I toss some blame at Snyder simply for pulling death of Superman so early. That problem outweighed every other problem in the dceu and that issue carried over into JL.
If we ARE gonna nitpick Flash saving the Russian family, the kids would be dead, but the parents would be safe thanks to the Faraday Cage effect of the cab vs. the bed of the truck. I think Barry would have put the kids in the cab first and then moved the truck. Also, gravity doesn’t work that way, Clark.
@Red Knight Sure but he can't manipulate gravity of other objects. The building that he carried probably would have crumbled or got destroyed on the sides. Superman was only holding the middle, not the sides
The thing is, the family shouldn't have been anywhere near the reactor at all. What sane group of people would see the abandoned disaster site being remodeled by aliens and think ''well, I used to work there for 25 years but I got sick of it on my first day. I bet they will too and leave''. Only modern day Whedon would come up with something so retarded. Snyder has not seen JL and had no idea about the russian family when he was asked by fans lol
I actually loved the movie I really didn't see anything wrong with it until I saw critics start what they do best and then I started thinking..I still think it's great
Yes... It might nt hv been the justice league team up we deserved, but it wasn't as bad as it was let out... N i think ppl were more disappointed with the film rather than hating it... Proved by the fact that ppl r in an uproar abt the upcoming snyder cut... Ppl want to give it a second chance..!!
Because it wasn't over the top like how he said it in the cartoon. (And this is coming from someone who DOESN'T like the way Cyborg looks in the cartoon. 90% shoulder, no way.)
Guys I know I will get hate over this but I actually enjoyed this movie from action scenes to the titbits of comedy in it. But my favourite part was batman and aqua man and Wonder Woman. I really wish zack Snyder could of finished what he started as to me he is such a good story teller and has a pretty good eye for action. Note: you can tell the fight scene between the amazons and wolf was a Snyder scene because of how well choreographed it was.
No. To this day, he still looks completely fine to me. I keep trying to see what's wrong with it but I just can't see anything wrong; I can't see any "terrible CGI" that many people have been talking about.
You have to love the fact that Jason Momoa started out his career kicking butt as a "Runner" on Atlantis, and here we are 16 years later full circle and he is now king of it and a A list actor now. The net flicks show "Frontier" is an excellent watch too. I am almost sure that him being cast in this role is why we won't get to find out how it ended. He could have done a short final or something for the fans.
This channel is what the Internet needs these days. Something to remind us that it's worth looking for the good in things even if they aren't what we wanted them to be.
Disagree

Barry’s used to no one being able to see him at super speed his reaction is great
As a huge dceu fan, I was let down when i seen this the first time in theaters but after watching a few times at home, it grew on me. That Superman vs JL scene will never get old. And after watching this video, I think I like it even more. But I'm sure the Snyder cut would kick it's ass.

TheNew TH-camr Yes. I thought the effects were horrendous for a $300 million dollar movie, most of the characters were a little one note, and the plot as a whole felt a little inconsequential. And the fact they established you can use the kryptonian ship and a mother box that they kept at the end to bring anyone back to life removes all stakes from future installments.

Richard Marcum probably because it is the only channel that defends movies instead of hating on them
Yeah, these days all people like to do is complain about how a movie ruined their lives.

There is so much negativity around everything DC/WB puts out, it gets really tiring to try to make a positive point. Thank you for trying, CinemaWins. Thank you also for pointing out what I have tried to convey in every post I've made about every DCEU movie, and that is that WB has done everything wrong. they have not trusted their directors (Snyder and Ayers), they put an edict on JL that it must not run longer than 2 hours (for more daily showings), which tied Snyder's hands when it came to showing a backstory for the various heroes (Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash) who we were introduced to in this movie

Underrated channel reviewing an underrated movie. I love it
Charlie Tibbitts this is NOT a review.
and this is not an under rated channel
Charlie Tibbitts it’s not really a underrated movie it’s just that people don’t like the film
It's really easy to get consumed by hate blogs and rant videos when a movie isn't 100% like your childhood comics and cartoons. It takes the fun out of things and goes a bit too far. So I'm really glad for this channel. Positivity is always better than bitter negativity.
Cody Mavick It has nothing to do with being like anyone’s childhood though, it was just not that good at all.
scifinerd17 is just mad because it's not like the cartoon.
MovieGuy666 because the cartoon was actually good

@@scifinerd17 agreed, they could change as much as they wanted, but if it was good, i would be ok with it.
Please do "Everything Great About Zack Snyder's Justice League" please
I’ve never really agreed with a movie review 100% but this one wins the medal. This movie is both great and frustrating.
no, is not great, is objectively bad
Snyder's vision is great. Josstice League is shit though
Steel Bear
Snyder is to the DCEU what Thalidomide is to babies. Just abort it, throw Snyder in the trash along with the remains of the franchise and try for a new one.
yutube jode It was fun imo bit WB needs to stop micro managing their movies.
Jeremy Schooler great is pushing it.
You know what else is great? League of Extraordinary Gentlemen ;)
DUUUUDE yeeees , thats a great one
SimonCleric that’s where you’re wrong kiddo
It is an enjoyable film, though
Everyone hates that film but I love it.
I love that movie, though Sean Connery hated it, it was really entertaining.
Cheers!
Support Film Art Hate consumes your soul, let it flow through you so it can fully consume your very soul and take over one and for all.
Everybody has different tastes.
that does not make sense, so we should not speak up when a movie is bad, such as this one?
yutube jode Where in my comment did I say that you can't voice your opinion?
I honestly liked BVS and Justice League, I do see the problems but I ignore all the problems when i watch them.
Great things about Justice League
1 The Zack Snyder Intro
2 The Action in Themecyra
3 The First encounter with Justice League and Stepphenwolf
4 Superman returning evil & fighting the Justice league
5 Everything Zack Snyder
That's it
The only tolerable parts are 100% Snyder goodness, and even then the shitty CGI, Elfman's abhorrant score and some of Whedon's replaced dialogue infests them at times.
What is it about people who like Snyder? He is a condecending bad director who thinks he is better than he actually is.
How do you guys even know which is Whedon or which is Snyder in this movie. Snyder definitely wanted to go into the lighter route with this film, u can tell from all of the trailers before the joss whedon involvement announcement.
V V He's one of the most unique visionaries in the movie industry.
He actually made me like Justice League again
What I actually like most of this movie is its tone. In terms of tone, I thought it was a step in the right direction. _Wonder Woman _*_did_* set the standard for the DCEU in general, but the tone and interactions between the characters felt closer to the _Justice League_ movie I really wanted to see.
Could've the movie been better? Oh, Hell, yeah. But I feel it's a tad better than the haters are smashing it for.
This ^^
I prefer the tone set by MoS and BvS (WW was good too, I enjoyed it) mainly because that's what sets it apart from the MCU.
And depower the hell out of superman.
i peferr darker serious tone, hence why i love netflix marvel series daredevil and jessica jones
Pretty sure every rational fan prefers the serious and poetic tone than this light and corny. MoS set the tone very well, same with BvS. After most people saw Justice League, they learned to appreciate those 2 movies. Just ages better than most.
Can't wait for Everything GREAT about Zack Snyder's Justice League (Part 1)
And Part 2 (and quite possibly Part 3 because it's so long)
I think critics were being a little too harsh with this movie. The CG and villain could be better but the character interactions and jokes are right on point. It wasn’t a terrible movie and it wasn’t amazing. 7/10 pretty good.
#EndTheDCEU
"Jokes on point"?!? Are you god damn serious?!?!?

I fell like there should've been a win for using the CW Flash theme (at least a subdued form of it) as well as the Gorilla Grodd reference anyone else?
They didnt use the CW Flash theme
There were definitely hints of the CW Flash theme in the Justice League Flash theme
Raptorus77 I knew that flash theme sounded familiar but I wasn’t sure if it was CW flash.
Kylo Slayer it's not exactly the same, but it's a bit subdued and choral

Can't fault Snyder for walking away due to family tragedy, but I hate the studio with a passion for fighting him every step of the way through Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League. And I can't forgive them for exploiting Snyder's absence to turn the movie into a Marvel carbon copy. I mean, I like Whedon for a number of reasons, and I know Snyder brought him in to write some stuff on the movie already, but the studio obviously managed to strong-arm Whedon into killing Snyder's vision in post-production.
WiiManElite People just love to point the finger at everybody whenever something doesn't go the way they want.
The failure of BvS and Justice League does not fall unto Snyder nor Whedon too much, but mostly on WB for interference and "too many cooks".
Mazra it’s like Chris Columbus who directed the first 2 Harry Potter’s
Mazra yup
I'll give Joss credit for the,"do you bleed" call back and Elfman credit for Flash's motif. Most of the rest of the OST is trash and most of the comedy did not work me.
I enjoyed it. Idc if y’all think it’s bad. I enjoyed watching it

I love all these characters and I would take a million of these over an extra 2 hours of nothing.
It sucked. And it does with every viewing
Lee’s gonna need 6 parts and an epilogue for the Snyder Cut.
1:18, “if this isn’t the first real zack snyder scene”, that scene wasn’t even in the snyder cut😂
Dude, I literally said the same thing 😂.
No win for the first time superman uses his ice breath? And no win for Steppenwolf saying darkseids name, being the first time we heard it in a live action movie? One more, how they introduce the green lantern Corp with a veeery obscure member? It's fine but i would have counted those
JAZ Session Meh, the breath thing was tacky. NOWHERE in MoS or BvS was that power EVER established, set up, or foreshadowed, in ANY way.
Hard Boiled Entertainment I see it as something he may of picked up after he was resurrected, that's why he didn't have it in the other movies. Plus I ment the win to go to it because it's a power from the comics, not how it fits in the story
Me loves redheads too - i think it's uncurable.
Edoardo Prevelato Amy Adams is perfection.
I'm just saddened that Lois doesn't have as big a presence in this vid as she should....

Nah BvS sucked.

He may have been the only one in the DC Comics lineup who actually had a concrete goal for the film universe. Now that he's not there, nobody seems to actually know what direction to go, and even fewer know how to make these films connect.

I'd rather have another BVS than this JL garbage.
I won't write a paragraph but look at Wonder Woman from bvs compared to JL Wonder Woman!
Please do Everything Great about The Cornetto Trilogy!!!
That would be amazing!!
Oh, hell yes!
PLEASE!
That’ll be a hour long video....per movie
I love that most of the great things that comes from Zack Snyder it did ended up in his final cut as we now know.
It wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't...earned. they rushed to the finale without taking the time to build the universe on a solid foundation
The_other_black_guy exactly.also no real character arcs
Yeah definitely
Exactly!
This is the finale of the first chapter, this is what the movies have been building to, except it was poorly built up
I enjoyed Justice League. Was it perfect? No, but it had some great moments.
PhoenixTTV So do Special Olympics.
my friends and i saw it really late on a tuesday in our small towns theatre so we were the only people in the theatre, and we heckled and laughing loudly the whole time. it made the whole movie much more enjoyable. so it definitely has some redeemable moments.
Aaron Walker bro I can't lie some of you haters are hilarious😂
I'm mean, not all movies are meant to be enjoyed by children
Beanie Boi _ then by their target audience. I was mostly referring to PG-13 and below movies, sorry I didn’t make that clear
When people say that DC is too serious when compared to marvel, just tell them this:
Batcow is canon.
The Pokeman 52 ...
Batcow?
To be fair, this comparison is rarely made with the comics.
In fact, I'd say during its glory days (which seem to be over sadly, while DC is picking up speed again) Marvel comics had some stories that were so dark it made some serious Batman comics seem lighthearted.
The Pokeman 52 but the comics aren't more serious than Marvel DCEU is more serious than the MCU and as far as we know no Batcow
Daniel Greig it was actually meant as a joke. Glad people took this seriously
Risheen Mukherjee in the comics, Batman saved a cow from a slaughterhouse and it ended up wanting to be a sidekick to him
1:12
Yeah it turns out that wasn't a Snyder scene...

D. J. Warner Bros. done fucked up the DCEU, I’m not even excited for any future films.
Steppenwolf’s attack on the amazon’s was a fantastic set piece.

I Know That The Theatrical Cut Is Only 2:00:02
If we ARE gonna nitpick Flash saving the Russian family, the kids would be dead, but the parents would be safe thanks to the Faraday Cage effect of the cab vs. the bed of the truck.
@Red Knight No, it wouldn't.
Wait a minute, you mean I'm not the only one who actually liked this movie in spite of some of its false... WOW!!!
I'm apart of that group as well.

So you didn't win Cyborg's booyah? :(
How is that a win? All of these booyah's and whatnot's the characters said were cringy and didn't fit the moment.
