Thank you for making this video. I'm not an athlete just an old man who has difficulties with shoe laces. Your video has enlightened me and I'll be off to buy some after this comment.
@@lauradryden I've ruined so many trainers by just trying to slip into them without using the laces. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but maybe you just need the right traner. Thank you once again. I'll keep you posted on the results
Great presentation. And makes the job much easier than trying to understand what the instructions say. Thanks. Because I Am super tired of tripping on loose laces
Ahh, sorry for the late reply, thank you! I knew it'd be helpful for some people :) Same reason - laces coming undone or being too tight or too loose, love elastic ones!
Thanks Laura. 60 years young and just used elastic laces for the first time on a 6 mile run..............WOW. DO IT NOW!!! Its like running with the comfort of your favourite slippers!!! You know that feeling when your out for a run and one of your feet feels free and relaxed for a few seconds.......... then you realise that your lace has come undone!!!!:( Well i'ts like that, but on both feet, yet comfy and secure, brilliant. When finished, just slip your trainers off with ease, what is there not to like.
I changed last year and I'll NEVER go back! These are so much healthier, easier and SUPER cheap on eBay if you aren't in a hurry. Make sure you get TWO laces tho! My vendor was selling Singles??? What a surprise that was! Thanks for this video! I gave a pair to a member at the gym I work at! I wish everyone would try them.
They're so convinient.. Since I Swapped I've not once had to stop mid run to adjust or retire laces.. Personally think all trainers should come with them by default 😂
Can't seem to find a video that shows how to attach metal tips that come with tiny screws and a tiny screwdriver and that do not come with a clamp that joins them at the top.
They're quite difficult to open once they've been clipped in, I found a pair of tweezers worked well to get in the middle. I hope you managed to get them off(sorry for late response)
I've been VERY tempted to change to elastic shoe laces but a little afraid to make the jump! Does your feet tend to slip out of the shoes from time-to-time?
A Runner's Ramble no, never had feet coming loose mid run, they're really secure, the only acception being in the mud but that would be no different to normal laces where you can potentially lose a shoe. If you foot gets stuck in mud with elastic laces, they've more chance of coming off.
Laura. I have the kind where they are like soft rubber that don't really lace up like yours they just go across and that's it BUT they don't get tight . I'm not a runner just wear casually. Do these tighten up? Thank you
There are people who say the lockdown in the foot isn't as good and elastic laces therefore put stress on the foot muscles.... that said... I don't feel it.
Yeah, I can see why some people would say that, all the ones Ive had have been really good and Ive had no issues with the lock of the foot other than if ive got my shoe stuck in mud 😂

Glad you found the video helpful! I use them for all of my shoes not just my trainers, super convenient! 😊

Hahha this is brilliant! Yes I recommend them to ever one, I can't have trainers without them!
Hi I’ve been using this method for years and found it very useful 😀🇬🇧

Bought elastic laces because I got tired of my laces always coming undone. These are wonderful because they can easily be adjusted when my feet swell.
Me too.
Thank you, Laura. My Lacestar elastic laces arrived yesterday but I hadn't a clue how to assemble them. All clear now after seeing your video. x
ahh thats great, glad I could help!
I’m happy I can thread the elastic laces having seen the video!! Gino
I had no idea how to get these together, ha. Thank you
No probs! Glad you found it helpful!
Much appreciated - given me confidence to try now! 😊
No problem! I’m sure it’ll go fine!
Good one, many thanks 👍
I like them because Ian disabled and I can’t really tie my shoes that good and I don’t like the fact I have to keep tying up my shoes
They’re brilliant for that! I hated tying my shoe laces!
Link to the Amazon shoelaces you showed us?
In the description, there’s 4 different styles listed in there
The cat sees the lace...wants to play...😀
Nightmare to keep them away 😂

Thank you so much!
Thanks a million Laura
No problem!
I've never used elastic laces but that was really interesting 👍
have had mine a while and want to take them out. no idea how to get it open

If you can't prize open the end clips with pliers, tweezers or screwdriver, just cut the laces near to the clip.
THANK U JUST BOUGHT SOME OF THESE AND HAD TROUBLE SEEING THE INSTRUCTIONS. WERE TOO SMALL FOR ME TO READ.
Ahh glad this video could be of help for you!

Hi Dave, I know the ones you mean - These elastic laces you can make as tight or as loose as you want them with the little locking mechanism :)
thanks Laura appreciate that
I only like the lock laces on my 👟 and 🥾.
Theyre the best!
Appreciate this for helping me decide. But music is unnecessary & distracting.
Glad it could help, sorry about the music, will bear in mind in future!
