- Well I decided to put this up because the song, "Are you gonna go my way" was on guitar hero and I played it. Then I remembered this one. (I think it's a different group though...)
Well, here it is, Gran turismo 3 Opening North American Version. Since this is the opening, it has all the credits.

I love how even back then, Mustangs losing control were still a meme.

Still one of the most intense opening videos to any racing game. A great song remixed by one of the best underground electronic artists out there. Lenny Kravitz and Daiki Kasho in one song.

I love that Gran Turismo 3 is the reason i love the GT games. Specifically 3, 4, & 6. Also why my favorite car is the Castrol supra haha.
As a Dodge Viper fan, i always loved how much protagonism Polyphony gave to my favorite car ❤
Viper will always be in the Hall of fame of Best cars Period! it was such a Nice looking car!
And it had a very underrated tv series made by Paramount for NBC back in the Must See TV days of 1994..., that show was simply called "Viper".

this intro blew my 15 year old brain away, man it was so cool. was hard to find similar music back then.

I was 4 lol and this game was 4 years old and i fell in love and i still play GT3
Games back then were actually fully complete upon release. It's sad that games aren't this good upon release anymore. It's also sad that developers just don't seem to put the effort into video games like they used to! Gran Turismo 3's intro looks better than most racing games today, and dare I say: GT3 should be a standard for all. It was a great experience playing GT3!
Some of the items that was supposed to be in the game can be either incomplete or still under development, hence why DLC is a thing.

Came here off of GT7s intro. This was still and will always be the best intro to a racing game. When that 3 appears over that engine roar is still one of the best scenes in all of PS FMVS.

Quienes llevamos años jugándolo no dejamos de sentir nunca la misma emoción cuando vemos esa intro y cuidado con apretar X y empezar el juego sin haberla antes terminado de ver y escuchar... Unbelievably good graphics for a game made in 2003. It looks like it came out on PS3.
When I booted up my ps3 for the first time, with this game in it I forget how old I was but every time I see it again I get goosebumps
it was so ahead of any other game at the time. You can say that the reigning champ has been dethroned on hours played....as Car X Drift has more customization out of any racing game with mods. Now, Gran Turismo? Looks Pretty, Drives Great. I could not afford a ps5 for the life of me, and that's the only game I'd want to buy, and I heard you always gotta be online. What a bummer.
This intro is the reason my favorite racing cars are the Castrol supra & the penzoil gtr. Gran Turismo 3 is also the reason I love the GT games. GT3, GT4, & GT6 are my favorites.

last year i bought this game because i used to play gt4 a lot and a little bit of gt3 and 2.. and hooooly shit this intro was like an overflow of nostalgia and hype
If you noticed both the opening and the ending movies are both performed by the same band Lenny Kravitz
I never grew up with this GT3 intro, i grew up with the EU one and both are really impressive

I have the PAL version of GT3, but I still think that the US intro is superior.
Just A Day by Feeder is a good song too I find, but I do prefer Are You Gonna Go My Way Daiki Kasho remix but nothing beats Moon Over The Castle

Really stupid question because I love this game, but what exactly is happening in the intro, obviously the cars getting set up but is that gasoline being added and the pistons going or?? Sorry I’m dumb.
It's the whole process. The gas going in. The valves opening up to let air in the fuel shot into the cylinders, the piston compressing the air at top dead center while it ignites with the fuel mixture, the camshaft lobes opening and closing the valves etc... The most beautiful process ever created my friend

I hate how people said the pal one was better, it was one of the worst intros using that song, plus this one was amazing and astonishing
