Can someone recreate this music video but with a more recent game, grand turismo or even forza, would be insain to this day it's still my favorite opening video for a game.
@@HCGSeth i mean the last couple grand tourismos have really dropped the ball and forza has really dominated the simulation market, but kinda just asking for a updated graphic versions video. My personal opinion gt2 is the best gt game. I perfer playstation over xbox, and own both systems so im not trying to be bias with my opinion, but forza has really hit it out of the park for that simulation racing experience the only 2 true simulator racing games that are fun are gt and forza.
Even that, most of racing games was arcade focused instead of serious racing game, curiously GT games started the serious touring car and circuit races games. Even that over the years Forza Motorsport started the rivalry(this as a Simcade until the coming FM8, and being honest, I love both GT and Forza) and many others related with touring/racing cars.
A simpler time, a simple game. There was no dlc, not many reviews, you just picked up the game and didn't look back. You played splitscreen with friends, memory cards wow. This takes me back.
My friend games are even more simple at its core nowadays, imho they're a minimalistic mess in order to cater to the twitch/mainstream audience. This game had some pretty impressive stuff besides its graphics, definately my favourite game of all time.
Listening to this song super late night, like around 1am-3am etc, will ALWAYS take me back to being just a kid, living at my grandmas, sharing a room with my mom and my sister, and playing this in the middle of the night religiously. Trying to master every track! We may not have had much at the time, but it was more than some people, and I’ll always remain humble remembering simpler, yet harder times. Crazy what memories or feelings video games from our youth can trigger. ❤️🙏🏼
Somehow I feel the devs hoped that this would be the result for some players; that through playing gran turismo they would acquire a fascination for tinkering with cars. So cool.

i'm born in 1994 and I never owned this game but I think my older brother did. The corus instrumental is one of the oldest musics I can remember for some reason and I have finally found this song after 10 years. I described the noise to my brother to try and find it but he never knew. I stumbled across this on facebook and the releif of finally finding this song is strangely immense... the unconscious mind for you.

Feel exactly the same! I think the Gran Turismo 2 EU-version intro is by far the best one! I feel sorry to say that, but it's even better than the original japanese version... It is the remix version (Faithless Remix) of ''My Favorite Game'' I think it fits so well to the intro! Flows perfectly! So well done! For me it's the best intro version! The US-version has the original ''My Favorite Game'' version, like the one showed in this video here! Still sounds good ^^ I mean don't get me wrong, the JP-version is still great with ''Moon Over The Castle'' ! ;)
This GT2 and Tekken 2 were my go to games. I almost died of a brain cyst between 2000 & 2001. The neurosurgeon said that playing these video games must've helped to re-wire my brain AS it was being crushed by the cyst. Playing video games were all I COULD do cuz I was dying at the time. I should've been paralyzed. My brain almost herniated into my spine. Cerebellum damage. I also played Syphon Filter. I wish PlayStation would make the PS1 again. I still have the games, they're like new, no scratches.

I remember sitting down with my grandfather and going over the driving line and him explaining to me that it was the shortest path around the course. 20 years later he still hangs out in the same chair he sat in while talking to me then when I go to hangout with him now lol
The early GT's went over explicit detail of how to drive, set up the suspension, gearing, downforce, etc., It educated a lot of young car guys into how a car was "set up".

Actually there's one HKS Dragster that has 1217HP, and can take Escudo on a straight line, but that car can't do curves. I don't remember how u can get one...
TVR Cerbera LM could keep up with the Escudo if driven properly on split screen but it's literally the only one.. also helps if you go balls deep with the downforce and exploit the glitch ;)

These games were so good for learning the theory and basic physics of racing.

Да и он сейчас у меня есть, только PS1 не работает, а дисковод ноутбука не работает после последнего ремонта...

Im currently 40 years old and no other game song will ever hit my emotions like this one. I had to be about 20 to 22 when this came out but this song is one thing i remember despite all the drugs.

I remember playing this game when I was 5 years old. I gotta say, I was pretty good for my age. I played multiplayer with my 3 year old brother for hours on this game.
This was literally my first PS1 game. Damn, I miss my childhood. This OP is so freaking nostalgic, I never skipped it as a kid :D
I can't believe how this can make me feel and remember so many things. Now almost 30 years old in September, I turn to see and realize that my passion for cars comes from when I was a kid when I was collecting hot-wheels and grew up with this video game in which I spent hours and hours playing. It's amazing to see how a video game can influence you and who you are. Thank you for the one who uploaded this to TH-cam.

1998. Can we apprecite how far ahead of it’s time Gran Turismo 2 was. This song was a perfect compliment, like firestarter for Wipeout 2097. For me listening is like being in a time machine. Awesome!! 🔥👏❤️
