But in Subaru's case, it's much more likely that this is actually a thing since that since even in this world, there's a possibility he might come back if she were to kill him.
Dude, he has literally hung around eldritch horrors in the shape of women that passively drive people insane just with their auras, and it doesn't affect him. Said-eldritch horrors are also legitimately afraid of him because his own mentality is more inhuman/insane than their own. He has been disemboweled, had his eyes gouged out, decapitated, frozen, burned, had his skull crushed, impaled, cursed, dismembered, eaten alive, among other things. Rem also tortured him for hours in the LN/WN version during her "questioning" and he didn't break. There's nothing that Tanya could do to equate that. He would take Tanya's crazy regimen because it is literally better than anything and everything he's experienced.

The funny thing is that even though Aqua isn't Being X, I can absolutely see her doing the same thing Being X did to Tanya to someone that mocked her status as a Goddess when she was overseeing their death. The only difference is that Aqua would've made sure that the victim would've known her name when she did it.

There it seems that she can use it at a similar or slightly higher power level than her soldiers at will (maybe only using 2 cores), but can pray to access its full power. There's also no mention of the faith drug when she uses it. This seems more in line with what the anime's representation of Being X would do too. It acts more like THE GOD, and there's no mentions of the other gods in the source material. I imagine that forcing her to pray when she needs the full power of the Jem (i.e. when she's in trouble and needs a boost) would make her pray during moments of need, which would make her become more faithful on her own over time. Seems like something that "god" would pull more than the heavy-handed flooding her with faith thing.
It's still so hilarious that, even for a moment that Tanya REALLY did believe Aqua IS a Goddess, and to get upset so royally up the alley thinking SHE was Being X, and after Subaru and Ainz cleared the misconception about Aqua, it's funny that Tanya now just doesn't think she's a goddess anymore, which puts salt to Aqua's pride AS ONE. Everyone keeps talking about how OP everyone is, but if you really think about it, Subaru's the most OP because no matter what happens or how many times he gets beaten, it's a statistical inevitability that he'll win eventually because of RBD. Even if he loses it and goes insane, he has all the time in the world to pull his shit back together and trying again on another loop. It's pretty much impossible to beat him.
Yee though to be fair there are walls he can run up against. For example the side story where he tries to kill Reinhardt, if I remember correctly he died an insane number of times with the best he could do being breaking Reinhardt's spirit.

if that was the case, every time aqua screams, "tendon" or "in a hurry" would play. every time megumin starts chanting, her explosion ost would play. they needed an original ost so that none of the series start dominating the soundtrack.

It's pointless to try and compare everyone's power levels. It doesn't matter how strong or weak everyone is. The important thing is for everyone to get along and not flex too much, or the whole campus will be obliterated, and that's just the best case scenario.

honestly if a school brawl broke out, it would start a complete apocalypse. aqua would immediately attack ains and his crew, megumin would probably immediately blow the school up just to flex, and darkness would stand there and take it just cos she can. i only watched konosuba before watching this, so i cant really compare them, but from what i know of that gang, they alone would destroy the whole school, so i dont want to imagine what 3 other (probably more powerful) parties fighting would look like.

Most of his daily exhaustion comes from keeping them on a leash. The rest is spent trying to keep Albedo at arm's length. Despite her reputation, Tanya doesn't want to fight. Her subordinates are pretty sane individuals, luckily. The Re:Zero crew are pretty chill, although Rem has a bad habit of taking matters into her own hands. As long as Emilia is safe, nobody will have to worry about Puck doing anything... chilly.

She's acting more like she did in war college. Tanya often says that she wants a quiet desk job. She actually MEANS that- She'd very much prefer a job crunching numbers and planning logistics than breaking spines. The problem is- she's going about getting said job the wrong way. Tanya is a big believer in the chicago school of socio economics and signal theory. Signal theory posits that the best way to get promoted is to act how an ideal worker of your job should act. So, basically? Tanya virtue signals her patriotism and acts like a gung-ho soldier girl because she thinks that's what an ideal soldier should be like, and that acting like that will see her promoted. The problem is- Perfect soldiers don't GET desk jobs. They are more needed at the front. Desk jobs are given to people with keen minds but poor fighting ability. Tanya's fundamental misunderstanding of how this works is, by far, her biggest obstacle. More so than being X even.

There it seems that she can use it at a similar or slightly higher power level than her soldiers at will (maybe only using 2 cores), but can pray to access its full power. There's also no mention of the faith drug when she uses it. This seems more in line with what the anime's representation of Being X would do too. It acts more like THE GOD, and there's no mentions of the other gods in the source material. I imagine that forcing her to pray when she needs the full power of the Jem (i.e. when she's in trouble and needs a boost) would make her pray during moments of need, which would make her become more faithful on her own over time. Seems like something that "god" would pull more than the heavy-handed flooding her with faith thing.

Because they never show her true power in the anime and movies. And in "her" world she's under constant stress, while in the quartet she has time to relax.
She's acting more like she did in war college.
Tanya often says that she wants a quiet desk job. She actually MEANS that- She'd very much prefer a job crunching numbers and planning logistics than breaking spines.
The problem is- she's going about getting said job the wrong way. Tanya is a big believer in the chicago school of socio economics and signal theory. Signal theory posits that the best way to get promoted is to act how an ideal worker of your job should act. So, basically? Tanya virtue signals her patriotism and acts like a gung-ho soldier girl because she thinks that's what an ideal soldier should be like, and that acting like that will see her promoted.
The problem is- Perfect soldiers don't GET desk jobs. They are more needed at the front.
Desk jobs are given to people with keen minds but poor fighting ability.
Tanya's fundamental misunderstanding of how this works is, by far, her biggest obstacle. More so than being X even.
And that's how you put an arrogant goddess in her place
