@@jama4456 No, no. Their entire political stance and ethics are WWI, imperials nationals period. Exactly as all the nations of the time acted, nationalism was the fashion of the time and every nation of the world embraced it with a passion. Fascists started appearing in the early 20s in Italy and other nations, but more importantly Nazis, as we think them didn't appear and have power until the early 30s. The precursor of the Nazi party was the German Workers' Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; DAP) that was created in 1919-1921. Then the Nazi party was founded in 1921 with Hittler as its president, but didn't really have any real power until the late 20s erly 30s. At the beginning the Nazi Party emerged from the German nationalist, racist and populist Freikorps paramilitary culture, which fought against the communist uprisings in post-World War I Germany. The party was created to draw workers away from communism and into völkisch nationalism. Initially, Nazi political strategy focused on anti-big business, anti-bourgeois, and anti-capitalist rhetoric, although this was later downplayed to gain the support of business leaders, and in the 1930s the party's main focus shifted to antisemitic and anti-Marxist themes. At the time of the anime and IRL the Nazist faction - party didn't have any real political power, nor did they truly have the clout to affect the status of the Empire. The national politics are conducted completely in Imperial national style and ethics.

This has been my favourite song sung in german since its release, just found out there was subtitles in a lot of languages besides EN, and listening to this song, while reading subs in my native language, gives me goosebumps in a good way, u know when u really feel the conviction of the lyrics? Yeah that. Great singing Selphius!

@allan bs as usual. This has nothing to do with National socialist shit, since in that world the great war stretched out further and so in fact it is the counterpart to the german empire in our timeline.
@@honigbrot6303 the reason why there is so much confusion is because of how fucked the timeline is, due to the first war not escalating as severely in the (insert preferred medium) and it lasting longer, it leads to a lot of confusion when the time is revealed to be around that of the second world war, and them having the weaponry of that time as well (mostly).

I must disagree. As german is my mother tongue the song really feels like it is a hot mess of disharmonies. Besides that I find the original flows better, the voice and the meaning of the text don't match at all. The voice is very girly and sounds somewhat happy, while singing how worthless a human life is on the battle field. The problem is not that it is a female voice its just there is no madness in the voice or brutality. Any emotion fitting to the meaning is missing. So for me its really weird.

I don't know where you learned the word Fräulein but I would advise against using it. At best you sound old-fashioned or just funny, at worst it will come across as disrespectful. @@satoriakihiro1283 I actually don't really care. I know what my country did back then was horrible and it's not something to be taken lightly, but this is a show that wants to show Ww2 so of course Germany aka the empire is gonna be in it. Normally in games and shows its always focused on a American soldier going against the Nazis, so it's pretty cool to see it the other way around. Even though the empire doesn't do the evil stuff we did back then, it's pretty obvious we are still the bad guys in this. So if you ask me what I think of the portrayal of Germany in this, I can only say that I don't really care, because it's not really the focus of the story. Germany wasn't allowed to have an own army because of the Versailles Treaty but the Allies didn't want that Germany is defenseless so they allowed Germany to have a defense force and that was the Reichswehr (only about 100k to 115k men strong). The Reichswehr existed from 1919 till 1935 and was then united with the newly formed Wehrmacht.

Feuer! Sperrfeuer! Feuer! Los!
Achtung! Deckung! Hinlegen! Halt!
Feuer! Sperrfeuer! Feuer! Los!
Achtung! Deckung! Hinlegen! Halt!
Zeigt mir Treue! Zeigt Gehorsam! Dient nun mit Leib und Geist!
Jede Faser in euch soll laut triumphierend aufschrei'n
Schreitet nun voran!
Zeigt mir Treue! Zeigt Gehorsam! Dient nun mit Leib und Geist!
Jede Faser in euch soll laut triumphierend aufschrei'n
Schreitet nun voran

Just saying. In the anime, the French uniforms and the excessive use of trench warfare means it is ww1. I think they are imperials not nazis
It is a mix of both wars as it plays in the early 20s while using technology from the later 30s as well.
However, the focus is much closer to WW1.

German version suits this song more than original.
@@dino4941 Yeah some song feels so weird to peoples in their native language. I can't even imagine what it sounds like in my language(Mongolia). How so...?
Dziękujemy.
i usually dont like cover, but this is actually better then the original.
The quality is amazing, it is in no way inferior to the original maybe i even better
Its not better than the original cause Tanya herself is singing the original one.
Still its very good and better than the english or any other cover of it.
@@XDrakeX1 I dunno, Amalee's cover was pretty sweet.
@@crispybacon4240 Amalee never covered Los? She covered jingo jungle tho.
@WoomyBlitz lol weeb
Took me awhile to realize it wasn't the og, even after deciding this was in german
This sounds exactly like the original but with different language! The best cover I've ever heard!
It somehow feels weird to hear the commands pronounced correctly.

I am surprised. Usually when people do these translated songs the beat and rhythm often gets lost to fit the lyrics and translation. But this sounds like an original song.
Also fantastic singing.
Beste Sprache. Hello from Russia! You do awesome work!
Guter Junge 😆

Your german is better then the german from the kids in Germany

I normally like to hear songs in their original language, but for this one?
This is something MORE than origin!
