  • Timber scout and axe limbing with a 20 degree Casterman Axe & Tool TIMBERPILOT. I put the bevel gauge on it and a TUATAHI Work Axe for comparison and show some close-up views.

Nothing like the sound of fresh hardwood popping when you hit it with an axe. Good work as always sir👍🏻

Nice to see you out in the woods and making large chips. Looks like that tree will give some nice firewood. Be blessed. My friend.

A 20 degree timberpilot and an elevated rock maple? AWESOME!!! Thanks for showing it at the end, i was wondering if it was a new one or you modded your old one...very keen so see where this goes..can you take a measurement of the cheek angles of the two axes? The tui looks a bit longer and thinner, there ill be a few degrees in it im guessing, maybe 13 or 14 for the Tui; 16, 17 for the Pilot.
Cant wait to see the rest of this series, cheers Brian 💪🪓🪓
    Edit: great thumbnail pic too

@kurts64 Mr. Kurt S, I have three of these rock maples within sight of each other. I chopped and hung out in this area about four hours. Worked on a stump buck that was really stubborn.
The axe performs well in my estimations in these conditions...
      Glad you watched sir...

@MattKeevil Mr. Matt, to be transparent, APPALACHIAN AXE MAN has been running the "twenty" for several months. There are some slight variations to be clear. This version is fun to run, however.
I chopped with it for about four hours, and the footage is in process.
I am certainly glad you are watching sir...
