Here’s the build video, if you guys are interested… SWEDISH FIRE AXE or NAVAL BOARDING AXE with @Ravenglade_Axe th-cam.com/video/4ZFqnRIAXOQ/w-d-xo.html
Wicked axe. So cool I have never seen one in true picture. I was just watching a historical video on the building of the USS Constitution here in New England and they had some hand drawn pictures of sailors with axes over their heads. I thought what a strange sight to need axes at sea in that way. I’m curious for the history of the boarding axe now. Bring it Lyle!
In Sweden these are known as fireman axes they are short straight handled with that type of head but it's usually a bit larger, never knew that they originate from boarding axes cool.😊
cool, its much larger then the historical artifacts I have seen and bearded axe blades seam more of what I have seen then bits with cutouts in them . Would be cool to see sum testing of cutting through natural fibre rope of the kind of thickness you would see on a sailing ship or boards like in a door on a sailing ship or even a bone for how it would do in combat against another person
Video of each American Boarding Axe just got uploaded! This is very close to both Type II’s and Type III’s with only the Type I Boarding Axe being bearded as you described. Check it out!

I'm a simple man, I see axes and my town represented and i sub.
Definitely a beast of an “inspired” boarding axe. Swing away Lyle! I’m happy to see you love it!
I've never seen a boarding axe before but let me say this, that is an amazing pic of craftsmanship my friend!!!
Nice…………real nice👀
Awesome
You sir are very lucky, I saw quite a few come up for auction recently
Well, that's about all you need to survive whatever apocalypse actually happens!
That looks awesome!
So cool! I saw a few boarding axes in a museum recently. They were from the 1860s, and they look very similar to this. Nice work on that neat to see
Nice to see you getting onboard with your cutlery.

Reminds me a bit of the RMJ Eagle Talon (2010 period version)
I co time to be educated… that is incredible craftsmanship!

Firemans axe!
An AXE !
is the modern Fire axe related to the naval boarding axe in terms of design I can see the correlation between them
I came here because of guts and blackpowder
Say, what knife did you use to upen the packaging?
If you ever have a stubborn jar that you can not open .... 🤔
Can the axe be thrown or can u throw it
Champing at the bit, not chomping
I absolutely hate when people pack blades and wrap them in tape, it's annoying and can really mess up the blade
