    I hope that the new villain is as involved in the plot as pucci (literally from the first to the last chapter of stone ocean he was the main engine of the plot and that pleases me a lot) in other words that he starts to appear a little after chapter 20 or even before, but if he takes a while to emerge, I hope he will be like Yoshikage Kira (impactful death, impactful first confrontation, an interesting personality for the time and even today), because Araki has already shown that he doesn't know how to build villains that only appear at the end of the narrative.

    In my opinion main villain will be JODIO himself...
    We actually got some hints.
    -He was diagnosed with psychopathy....
    -Same with conversation with Rohan. When he said that he shouldn't trust his gang members. They are all criminals, its normal to backstab in this business. Hower, this actually could hint that its JODIO that is the worst of them all and he will betray them, when he will see opportunity for profit...
    Same with fact that Araki clearly took a lot of inspiration from modern American crime shows like Breakind Bad, BMF or POWER.
    In both cases we have characters with very poor morality. Which highly contrast with anime and JOJO characters in general....
    Characters like Jesse (Breaking Bad), Tariq (POWER) or Mitch (BMF) like JODIO didn't come from abusive families that made them lose faith in humanity..... they simply wanted easier profit.
    Jesse simply wanted to have money for drugs, Mitch wanted escape poverty and make name for himself.....
    Just because story is presented from Jodio perspective and gives him some plot armor, doesn't mean this character is "good". Same with mentioned characters.

      After chapter 9 i dont think so. He has that speech to Paco which is very obviously jojo protag coded. And in chapter 2, its shown he dislikes people who dont play fair and theres a lot of sympathy to be drummed up when he wonders if he'll ever be happy. Plus Araki doesnt play that way. His protagonists are always conform to Arakis idea of heroism. Theyre all abrasive and hardheaded delinquents who do morally questionable things sometimes but they strive to make right and help people and be brave and forge their own paths in life.

    A funny little theory i have about the main villain of 9 and thats Jodios father. Jodios father will probably be a decentant of Diego and if thats the case then i see him being somewhat of a DIO for the steall ball run universe. Now of course this theory is kinda shit because i don't have solid proof for this, and secondly, we already have Diego who is literally alt universe DIO so having another one will be kind of janky but i like tha idea of the villain being the protagonist parent for JoJo. Also i think Diavolo should make and appearance as a police officer who tries to hunt down the guang but not a main villain but mostly as a side villain or antagonist

      Also I can't remember from who, but a jojo TH-camr had a theory of Giorno being the main villain which is cool as hell. Giorno hates drugs, Jodio sells drugs so that can drive him to be an antagonist. Maybe he can be female named Haruno Shiobana

      I don't think that's dumb at all lol. None of us have proof for anything really because there are so few chapters out. I like the idea of a Jojo parent being an antagonist and Jodio being a descendent of both Johnny and Diego would be really cool in my opinion.

    Due to this part’s emphasis on crime and the various examples of characters covering up evidence of their crimes, I feel like the main antagonist of this part is going to be a judge or a lawyer. I know this video is 5 months old at the time of this comment, but recent events in chapters 12 and 13 led me to speculate that the main antagonist may have an omnipresent automatic stand which punishes people if it notices them committing a crime. Specifically, in chapter 12, Charmingman and his brother were dirt biking in an area which seemed to be off limits to the general public, and as a result, Charmingman’s brother was swept away by an underwater stream. Additionally, in chapter 13, after Jodio set a school bus on fire in order to get revenge against Dragona’s bullies, his father lost his job and abandoned his family as a direct result of Jodio’s actions; almost as if there is some universal karma or stand ability that is passing judgment on them for committing crimes or infractions. Sort of like how Toru and Wonder of U were using calamity to manipulate the events of part 8 since the beginning of the story without anyone noticing. This is just my speculation though. Also sorry for the long winded comment

    I have a fun theory of who the Cats owner might be.
    You know how the Cats stand was string made from their hair?I dont think that 'string stand' belongs to them. I think it belongs to their owner and the owner could have implanted the stand onto the cats. Jodio even mentioned that they would have to be close by hiding among the forest and I think the cats owner is someone we've met before.
    I think our owner could be Karera Sakunami from Jojolion the user of Love Love Deluxe. Remember her and her power? She can GROW hair string.
    At the end of Jojolion, there was a monologue claiming that depending on the the growth of the user, the stand can develop as well. So its possible she trained her stand to be more combat heavy. Plus her personality comes into play as well. Remember, she was a bum who wanted to find the Rocacaca to get rich. Maybe eventually she found out about the lava rock eventually in the process and wants it to get rich.
    I think she knows about it because, her college major was agriculture. Perhaps during her studies she found out about the lava rock as a result. And its not too much of a strech when you consider someone like Speedwagon or Jotaro, former delinquients mind you, turned their lives around and became successful at their field. The same could apply to her as well.
    Cuz not to mention, if the cats were loyal pets with Stand abilities, then why kill them? That is literally putting yourself at a disadvantage. Their heads were chopped off and the string in the stand fight was shown to be sharp, so that coukd be a possibility too. And again in the past, string could be used by Jolyne to send out messages, so maybe a similar technique was used for the cats and why they were well coordinated.
    Thats my theory anyway.

    I think the main villain should be Fugo’s counterpart. If you think about it, it would be cool to see what it would look like if Araki went all the way with the “Fugo betrays the group” idea. They could at least serve as the Diego or Jobin of the story; someone who has the same goals as the protagonist and is their rival? Also I don’t see Jodio being Diego’s direct descendant. I think that Dario simply found another wife and had a kid with her, starting a different “branch” of the Brando bloodline. These are just guesses, of course. Also before Diego started the race he already married an old woman who was wealthy so it’s likely that, after he died, a relative crafted a will to obtain his money? Who knows…

  • @SwirlyisCool
    @SwirlyisCool ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Seeing that the JoJo villains will be foils to the JoJo heros in one way or another, part 9's main antagonist will be no different. Jodio lacks empathy due to his diagnosis, and puts himself before others. The main villain, therefore, should be someone with too much empathy, and feels like they must put others first. Jodio can be described as a poor hoodlum outcast despite his apparent popularity because he is yet to achieve great wealth in the story and criminals are generally despised in his society. The main villain will be, as your video stated, someone massively beloved, has a good social standing, and has a lot of money from the start. This may sound stupid, but I think they won't be a cop, politician, or even someone whose driven by corruption, but instead be a social media influencer that tried to stop corruption.
    Social media influencers are public figures living seemingly rich lifestyles with large followings. Oftentimes they're driven to create charity-based content as a means of helping others or "paying it forward". Fans nowadays have high, sometimes unrealistic expectations that their favorite content creator will use their platform for good, especially if their content generally revolves around philantrophy. I can imagine this main villain being a famous TH-camr who makes content similar to that of Mr. Beast and feels obligated to put other issues before their own now that they have such great status and wealth. Their empathy drives them to view what Jodio calls "mechanisms" as a form of corruption; the idea of general principles that one should follow and can exploit is seen by the villain as unfair and the cause of the world's major problems instead. The main villain sees themselves as noble and self-sacrificing for their drive to bring justice and good into the world, their delusions partially fueled by their fanbase. In a way, the main villain is Jonathan if he was an antagonist-- like how Jodio is shown to represent Dio as a protagonist.
    If that is the case, I can imagine the main villain arriving to Hawaii under the guise of making content and ends up crossing paths with Jodio as a result. They feel like they are most worthy of the rock and will do anything to stop others they deem corrupted or evil from taking it. Minor villains that will serve as the henchmen are actually devoted fans who have unhealthy parasocial relationships with the main villain and unaware of being taken advantage of as a result. Jodio and the gang may be conflicted to take the main villain down too; maybe, Jodio once looked up to this person while he was growing up and considered them a friend due to the parasocial dynamic, therefore felt that foreshadowed "betrayal" as a result.
    It's a stupid theory but it would be cool to have such a villain because it has potential to be the most relatable antagonist compared to all previous ones. Not only that, we've yet to have one driven to do truly out of goodness for all. Both Dio and DIO were driven by world domination, Kars wanted to be the ultimate lifeform, Kira wanted a quiet life for himself, Diavolo wanted to maintain power in his mafia, Pucci was acting DIO's last will, Funny Valentine did to make America the best country, and Tooru wanted Rock Humans to get back the power and influence in society they deserved. This new villain would also be someone that strikes a chord more due to how many of today's youth grew up on the Internet. Think about it: how many times have we felt betrayed when a figure in our life we used to worship turned out to be shit, how many times have we seen once-beloved influencers meet cancellation?
    I do wonder how this all escalates to Jodio becoming rich; he possibly took the influencer's money is my best guess.

    • @TheLostCrsuader21
      @TheLostCrsuader21  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s definitely not a stupid theory lol I actually think it’s a very interesting one and this was fun to read. The idea of the main antagonist being a famous influencer with a cult like following kind of reminds me of the antagonists of Borderlands 3. I’m honestly surprised we don’t see this type of character more in media these days

    • @emanuelbugaj7078
      @emanuelbugaj7078 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's hard for me to imagine influencer as a antagonist for this story, but I also think three is high chance of him/her being noble. All main antagonists had some noble goal, or more of a justification to their crimes. Pucci wanted to be the savior of the world who eliminates suffering, while framing innocent girl for crime, killing multiple people, and forcing while world to fit in his ideology. Valentine wanted to bring good fortune to his country, while also killing, innocents, trying to rape 14 yo, lying to Johnny while promising in the name of his deed father. Tooru to create wonderful medicine, and also bring wealth to his people, while infiltrating some young girl's life pretending to be teenager and her boyfriend. Also multiple murders of course. All of this guys viewed themselves as the good guys. There's a high chance of the Jojolands antagonist being shown as very noble person, while also hiding very awful side.

    Your predicament of the JoJolands’ main villain being in position of power is most likely correct, but I doubt that it’s someone in law enforcement. Especially a police officer. Don’t know about you, but I can’t consider someone like a policeman particularly menacing in the world of JoJo. That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this villain had police under control
    As to what I personally want the main villain to be like… you know, before JoJolands came out; I made some predicaments in my insta story. I said that the main group are gonna be a couple of young criminals stealing shit for some kind of boss. I came out correct in that regard. My prediction wasn’t unfounded. I was inspired by an arc in my fictional universe called ”Escape”. It’s greatly inspired by Netflix’s ”Outer Banks“ show and its villains are something similar to what I’d want to see in JoJolands. A woman who isn’t often by herself, but has a whole army of hit men
    Jodio and the gang are chasing a treasure. Her men are stand users and they’re also chasing a treasure. Apart from battles, they often cross paths and ponder on how their rivalry will unfold in the end. Does that make sense?

    • @TheLostCrsuader21

    and since the main villains in the new universe have Fate as their theme with Love Train repelling misfortune and Wonder of U bringing calamity, what if the main villain's stand has the ability to bring "Miracles"? like we've already seen the negative effects of miracles with Milagro Man so having the ability to give miracles could be effecting as a villain's ability. just a theory though

    I don't agree , here my theory, part 7 and 8 are imp here because , first they are set in a new universe and is more appropriate to look at them than previous villains,
    Secondly, you see jonny and valantine does not follow typical previous protagonist and antagonist roles and neither does gappy and toru, why? Cause they are not good vs evil stuff, jonny himself is a messed up guy if you look at valantine he seems more righteous and obviously we see that his sense of justice his far superior to Johnny's ,now jonny and valantine shares two things that is they are completely unrelated to each other in every aspect power, position, wealth, goals , influence, the second thing they share is the stage where the story is set and interest with it that is the steel ball race , so why did we discussed that well jonny and valantine only challenge each other in only one way that is their sense of justice, and are not two sides of the same coin,
    Now gappy and toru are set in similar way two things in common, first the stage where it is set that is the hospital where toru works and gappy's mother is under treatment & the higasikata estate and the fruit it produces, but gappy has completely different goals than toru, gappy wants to know who he is and toru wants power to protect his rock human identity , not at all related to each other but are set at a common stage or platform and they are not two sides of the same coin
    .so what do we get is the story is set on same stage but are not two sides of a coin , and are unrelated
    But challanges one thing that is common between two that is the staged platform 's interest for the protagonist and antagonist ,
    Which leds me to think it will be an institution of education 's Director who will be the villian , and not law enforcement, why they will not represent the two sides of same coin stuff somehow , i mean the story already proclaim jodio as a psyopath and that was i think the school's doing and we just need a common stage for them

      I like this a lot actually. So what are your thoughts on the idea of Meryl Mei being the Main villain since she’s a school principal?

      @@TheLostCrsuader21 i think just like the gappy incident , there will be two stages the lava rocks and the school , although right now school is not much evidence based cause we do not have much info ,but still the leading our gang is a schools principal, so now that we have two stages for development,
      Thinking this but before that , the lava rocks attracts material things right now , what if another way to look at that is it attracts fortune? Now it is not as big as d4c love train or wou but they both play with the concept of fortune and calamity right?so who could be seeking the lava rocks? Jodio and gang for obvious reasons and the big gang could be also the one our jojo gang work for and we have connecting them the school and wealth or fortune reason or lava rocks and lastly there is one more thing the third person that is someone who is in real estate why? Because maybe they want to buy the lava rocks property as a whole , maybe they after realising the commotion caused during the rohan estate alerted them of some force, qnd it could be even a closer connecting ,that is the agent company who rohan brought the estate from, and how will they be connected to school and drug lord gang could be a simple random thing such as
      Sold property to get rohan to bring lava rocks in our strong hold, but unforeseen gang also got hold of it ,and now the gang , jojo and bro , company fights,
      Now how will the company will be related to school probably they want to get info on members of gang who work in school , could be a thing,
      Lastly i think that principle is a nuisance but not really a villian "villian" i think a very minor plot point, but again too early to say that,
      Now why the company wants to buy the lava rocks property , when the concept we follow is they are not two sides of same coin, honestly i cannot figure it out, maybe the lava rock has more to it than , but yeah that's all i could think for now👍

      But one more thing is that valantine was invited to sbr and so was pucchi invited to florida jail , and wou is a very senior doc who probably is also invited in hospital to work cause normal one cannot resolve patient illness, so maybe the school invites the company member ?

    Besides all this stuff, actually, Meryl May in any case will be one of the greatest evils in this part, just bc she literally uses teens in criminal sphere. It looks like Polpo’s case in the 5th part, he’s far from being as villainous as Ciocolatto or Diavolo, but he was the one who let literal children and teens into mafia, this man’s really a manipulative menace. In some case this applies to Buccelatti too, in fact he was the main encourager of unhealthy Giorno’s ambitions (if someone like that gangster from prestory hadn’t let Giorno into mafia, the teen would have continued living a normal life).

    Is it just me or the rokaka fruit is literally the same as the devil fruit.
    As well as the Rock Humans. This was indeed a Steven Universe reference. Ronaldo was the one who came up with the idea, later on Steven explaining to Ronaldo that Rock Humans are no other than the Crystal Gems lol
