Recently, I had a HORRIBLE idea...reading the worst manga I could find. I went straight to myanimelist and found the lowest rated manga and because it was only 10 pages, I decided to read 9 more. Here are the 10 worst manga on MAL. Just a heads up, they all really do suck.

I enjoyed your outlook on these, I definitely try not to be so harsh with stuff I don’t like…but then theirs stuff like “Dead Lives Matter!” that is just asking for criticism lol

Gal cleaning started so good, then it got axed and completely burned by the mangaka
"High School Musical - The Manga" feels like it was only made to get people in Japan hooked onto the movies, and didn't bother trying make an actual manga adaptation of the movies.

Good video, but I think a more accurate title would be "Top 10 Worst Rated Manga Ever", because there's objectively worse ones out there, like Killing Stalking, biggest piece of garbage ever put to page.

Really great video. I just wanted to add some remarks about Yobu Koe. This was the first work of Naoki Yamamoto's that I read, and at the time, I genuinely hated (it was definitely the worst manga I've read at that time). However, I would later read some of his other works (e.g., Arigatou and Believers) and learn more about his legacy, which shifted my opinion quite a bit. While I still don't think Yobu Koe is particularly "good" (indeed, it is even problematic as you've pointed out), I would argue that the use of S.A. was not /just/ to be edgy. Is it excessive? Yeah. Is it distasteful? Absolutely. But it's not just graphic for the sake of being graphic, and I think once you understand his writing philosophy, it makes more sense. I would describe him almost as a proto-Inio Asano, and his catelogue can be thought of as a more extreme "Goodnight Punpun." Obviously, we can discuss whether he needed to be so excessive to deliver his point, and fair enough! I just think his works overall shouldn't be written off as edgy for edgy's sake.
