Why has this took me 2 years to find.... Ive been struggling following the Hooked by Robin video for months, I got that cheesed off with it I put projects in the cupboard of doom, not to be seen again, I pulled them out after watching this vid, and I am happy to say Ive nailed it.... Im so happy. Thankyou :)

    Genius!
I was not looking forward to joining my granny square project. Beautifully illustrated 🙌🏼. Thank you for using a light color yarn and a contrasting background. The struggle is real for us visual learners.

I made a beautiful sunflower blanket using your technique. But I started in the lower right side of the blanket and not the top right like you said to do. Since it's been 4 years since I made that blanket, I'm back to your tutorial for a refresher course. I modified Jayda In Stitches 3D flower granny so that I could turn them into a traditional granny to utilize this technique. Thank you for this tutorial, Craig!! ❤

Thank you for the typewriter joke, it made me laugh out loud! I’ve had a very sad past three weeks and I’m getting close to wishing to throw in the towel and it’s folks like you who can have this special sweetness about them and distract me for awhile from my pain etc and I can almost forget cognitively what my body and brain are feeling. THANK YOU CRAIG💙🌻☀️🌈♥️
I also love your version of joining as I was trying to figure out a way to put my rainbow 🌈 of colours zinnia granny squares together in a large blanket for my husband. So he can have a special thing from me to remember me always (whether he does wish to or not? 😉)
    Thanks always Craig. 💙🦋💙

Love this technique. I’m new to crochet but three blankets done kept thinking there had to be a way to join the squares and do the last row on each square at the same time. And… here we are! Love it. You are a great teacher and I’m onto Part 2 immediately. Thankyou. PS: The typewriter analogy was perfect.

Hi Spider-Man from So Dakota. Just wanted to say THANKS for your tutorial on joining the granny sqs. I have probably 30 or so of granny squares done from a blanket that i took apart. Wasn't sure what to do with them. Right now I've got a continuous around large granny WIP that I think I'm going to use the loose grannys for a couple of rows. Thanks for an idea that YOU gave me to use up my left over grannys. Ur awesome.

Thank you for posting this video! It was terrific! It has been a few years since I did a large afghan and I forgot how to do the corners! But, I remembered the pattern of how to connect the squares! Your video was concise and done well. Instructions were simple and clear. You spoke in a nice tone and volume. The camera work was great, too. I am retired teacher of 43 years and if you did this video in my class for a grade, you would have gotten 100%! I also liked that you didn't gab on an on about everything and nothing during your instruction. Great job all around.

I love this method of joining! Thank you so much for sharing and thank you for being thorough. I love your tutorials for sure and for a very long time now. The corners a just short of brilliant. Oh, okay, they are brilliant. I made what I call the "Blooming Flowers Afghan" for a customer and the squares are done in different flowers and colors but with solid squares. So, by skipping over 3 dcs and doing the 3dc cluster in the next all along the square, this technique adds a very pretty effect. This join as you go is a very secure way to join your squares without all the sewing and your are right, it is easy and fun. Again, thank you so much for sharing this. You are the BEST!

Thank you for this video. I used the original tutorial from Hooked by Robin to join some granny squares a while ago and I didn't particularly like the look of the corner joins (they were a little flimsy and floppy) but the route change and the tighter corner in this tutorial really does work. Even when crocheting the bottom of my first row I can see the difference! I'll definitely be using this way from now on.
