Is the text on Riordain correct? It feels like it should either play a trap from deck, or draw a replacement card after playing the trap from my hand.
I believe somewhere I saw it was an error and should read from deck

There are a number of cards in the deck with immunity that stack points rather quickly. The original capability of purifying a row went part way to neutralising the boost those cards have (when a targeting card was played/used afterwards). How about you replace the capability of purifying a row that you've taken from spring equinox and putting it on another (new?) card?

Whilst I'm at it...
There are a number of cards that negate the defenders capability of 'guarding' a row. How about a mid range card that allows the restoration of the defender capability after it's been removed?

I hate this change, one of the best no unit cards becomes another boring buff engine that dies in one turn.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I thought that CD was shutting Gwent down? Or were they just shutting down services in a specific platform? I played a lot until I heard that and then just deleted it figuring it wasn't going to receive any further support.
Gwent isn't shutting down, but no more expansions after the year end. Instead, players will be able to vote on cards to change if deemed too strong or weak etc. Gwentfinity.

It's a strange way of downgrading the Equinox card (condemning a special card), by trying to fix the symptom rather than definitivly fixing the cause (= being able to reanimate a huge number of special cards without limitation is the problem).
Regarding the "upper limit", this is a solution that should be applied to a huge number of cards that abuse exponential effects. There are some in almost every faction... In particular anything to do with duplicating cards (especially gold cards), duplicating poison, duplicating point upgrades (until a score of 500,750,1000 points), etc. At this level, we're talking about exploiting vulnerabilities here, and the developers have authorised it (which is nonsense).
PS : A good way to see if a card is not abusive is to watch their effects on Seasonal Modes, because it exaggerates the effects, making them even more visible / detectable. Only watching the Pro rank (of the Standard Mode) is not the only indicator that should be used.
PPS : The main Guideline is not to eradicate a strategy, but to contain it so that it does not become an uncontrolled chain reaction (like a nuclear bomb destroying everything).
You must be getting thumbs up only because its a wall of text because what you actually say makes no sense. Simlas wasnt the broken part of the combo. Alissa wasnt the broken part of the combo. Equinox and Equinox only was the busted part.
Remove Alissa and Simlas and the 12 for 5 equinox is STILL there. Remove the equinox and now ST goes back to being good instead of OP.

Angry people do not have arguments and are unable to listen, they just spread their confusion to have the illusion to solve their issue.

Traps are not a bad idea (adding an unpredictable notion), but they necessarily become so if there is no counterbalance for the opponent (he can only endure, so where is the fun, game = interaction). Because if the opponent predict what the card is... well he will endure it anyways. So it is really stupid and unfair.
In this case a counterbalance would be a possibility to deactivate them, to bypass them or to send them back to their owner, or to delay them... They could also be effective only for 3 rounds, after it could not work... They are many possibilities. They could also be effective only on one line, not on both lines...

@9:40 That Eibhar Hatori change is super bad. His purpose was to reward you for being able to read the opponents deck and now it becomes a super boring engine.
Please guys you made 5 changes you could make Like 50 with all the bad and unplayable cards in gwent. You should test more and not be afraid of changement in the game. I have my syndicate deck since 4 season tier 1. Not very fun
I'm still holding out hope you guys will give more love to the Bear School's lore. All anyone wanted them to be was Skellige Witchers and not only are they not actually from Skellige, but the fact they constantly fight any witcher they come into contact with combined with the fact that their only connection to the Isles is that they like to hang out in Skellige, given how small Skellige is they must be slaughtering each other all the time. So the one thing anyone wanted to know about them, their connection to Skellige, makes them looks horrible.
Adding to this is their fighting style. We're told in the books that witchers fight the way they do because tanking a monster's blows, no matter how heavy the armor is, is a bad idea so Witchers fight using evasion. Instead of saying that "Bear Witchers are so strong they can move fast and dodge in heavier armor", the Gwent lore says they dont bother dodging at all. So in addition to be a bunch of assholes with little to no connection to Skellige, they're also incompetent, and dont use the cool fighting style that is one of the main things people like about Witchers in the first place
We see this with the Bear Witcher Quartermaster card. Witchers dont use shields for the same reason they dont use heavy armor, and would you look at that, the Bear' Quartermaster is down an arm because he used a shield like a dumbass. CDPR must be trying to make them look as bad as possible.
Can you guys make a classic version of this game as an event or something? Like back when there were 3 rows and silver cards like in the open beta

@@krajekdev nilfgaard has been generally OP in every patch since june last year. maybe not topping tournaments but in general ranked play yes.
