I found my settlement under a cliff with crashed freighter on top of it. On a paradise planet. It was like the survivors decided to settle there. Fantastic moment.
mine is right next to a crashed freighter so ive made the headcannon that the initial settlers were survivors of the crash and now these scavenger robots have moved into the wreckage

A fix for multitools would be the ability to make a gun rack that you can store multitools in. That way, the mechanic of how many tools you can hold and swap between is unchanged, and you can still create and keep spares. Possibly even on display?
I came to the comments to look for this exact comment! I feel most people stack up on multi tools because of how they look and not really for function. The decoration and storage system in the game feels pretty empty so anything that adds to ways we can build is very much welcomed!
100% this. i have a couple multitools i will never use for gameplay that i just think look really cool id love to be able to display them alongside all of my other discoveries
The feature that makes it available only after the end imo makes some sense, since it's a Pretty big quest (the 4 parts) that can't be like randomly placed like Dreams of the Deep or others
One thing I really wanted from the ship power diversion is the ability to assign a hotkey per mode, rather than cycling through them. Unless I'm missing something...
13:50 this video of the space battle is so cool, all the ships close together, lasers everywhere, and you playing in 1st person gives a really nice vibe to it
i was blown away the first time i randomly came across one of these i was so occupied looking at the cool lasers id accidentally let the trader freighter get blown up and then the pirates ran away after i blew their shields still had fun and got me thinking about strategies i could try for next time
Fantastic as usual - I really like that NMS requiring new players to go back and finish the initial story lines - the expeditions allowed new people to just join in without going to the basics of the game.
I'll have to go back and I preordered the game, I've spent a couple thousand hours just being a cosmic vagabond wandering lazily around the stars. I don't think I've ever completed any of the core quests. So now I know what I need to do 😃
I like that the new autophage content extends the endgame. That's always been one of the biggest longstanding issues with the game that it just feels like a collection of random disconnected _things to do_ with not much progression where you do one thing in order to do the next thing. I hope to see more of this kind of content in the future. Maybe not something so extreme as needing to complete the main story first, but something similar to how A Taste of Metal is unlocked where doing one thing unlocks another thing. A follow-up to Dreams of the Deep is something I'd love to get, and it'd be an excuse for them to expand underwater content.
An overhaul to all the vehicles would be nice, but yeah more needs to be added to Dreams of the Deep. No real reason to go into the water except to salvage ships.
I'm disinclined to approve of "endgame" content. I like how most updates revolve around content you can do at any time if you come across it. NMS is not really about its main story, it's about exploring at your leisure. You find something interesting to you and you follow it to the end. I am not complaining, really, though I have my gripes *to* complain about. For example, my problem with this recent update was the same problem I have with every NMS update that includes new content to hunt down: they don't tell you exactly how to start it. This one was just the most egregious because it required you to finish the *entire* main story to unlock it. Want the autophage race? Want all those cool new options? Too bad, you have to beat the main storyline first and do a bunch of other obscure shit to do it. That's a not-insignificant amount of time. I loved the update, I had fun unlocking the new content, but they need to *at least* tell people how to start this content instead of making us guess and theorize which requirement is actually a requirement. If they're going to make players go through so much, they owe it to them to be more clear on what's required to access it, so they don't spend all of their time doing something they didn't really want to do yet thinking it was a prerequisite to access the new content which they *did* want to do.
This was the reason why I couldn't get into MNS. At the end, it felt pointless. My best friend felt the same way, he got to the end and it made the entire game feel pointless. We've been gaming for over 20+ years now, and really wanted to like the game. So my question is, is NMS worth playing now? Does it give you an incentive to get to the end, and have something to look forward to? Like another activity, tasks, or some endgame progression?
@@Andy_Paris Well there's been the Remembrance stuff for years now, but this update added the Autophage faction as an additional endgame activity. Whether or not that is "enough" for you and your friend isn't something I can decide on your behalf though. There's plenty more to do along the way though.
Oh cool new video! Thank you! Such a funny Intro! With the Fleet Battle i think that was the first time i felt some heat in NMS space battles. About the Bugs and Glitches. I think i got used to it and sometimes it is so funny i have to say: Thank you HG it was a ton of fun!
they should do one called "delves" or something and it overhauls the planets depths and cave generations, making it deeper and actual good cave gen with new quests n such to be a "Delver"
Ya this update is pretty awesome. Main thing that ive wanted for years now is for gas gaints to be implemented into the game and for you to be able to build orbital bases around them.
honestly id love to build a proper orbital base not a freighter just a static personal space station. to add to your gas giant wishes maybe you could build certain modules onto your orbital base that scoops up some of the planets rare gases for use in advanced crafting
@@boney2982 It would work really well to implement gas giants and have them have materials you need to create orbital bases and then make those bases around regular planets if you want to.
The update is awesome. Their last few content updates have really had a massive quality increase for gameplay compared to something like Exomech or Frontiers where it was just "Get thing so you can have thing, it doesn't do anything but you have it now. The end." Starting a new game is now so eerie when you know the autophage are around every drop pod, beacon, crashed freighter and ancient ruins.. you know they're there, but you can't see them until much later. One thing I'm confused about is how come there's only 1 model for the royal multitool and 2 for sentinel types and why they're not procedural like the atlantid ones. 😅 And I haven't seen anyone mention these 2 features yet... the game now has brand new music and NPCs now have different body type and height variations.
Exactly! Interceptor, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, and now Echoes have all improved core gameplay elements. They're not just a new feature, they're new gameplay loops that are integrated into the main experience. They're great! I also wonder why the Royal and Sentinel multi-tools weren't more varied. The Sentinel ones in particular don't even change color. 🤷♂️ The two newest types feel like proper additions. I always prefer procedural stuff to non-procedural when it comes to NMS! And you know me, I usually do a video about the more subtle changes after the review. 😉 I've been keeping a list as I play. Thanks for watching!
The Starfield effect: No Man's Sky sales reached a lifetime peak in the weeks that followed the Starfield release. How is that for a hint that Starfield is a flop comparable to what NMS did at launch?
im returning to the game having recently gotten a ps5. i played the game extensively at launch and only stopped cuz of deployments. anytime i tried to return id get bored despite the updates.. i love the horror i wish things were more streamlined and it looks like this update has a lot more “focus” put into it! great video very informative.. i’ve seen a lot of stuff that’s inspiring me to play especially since space scifi i games are still rare on console
I just got into no mans sky because of my dissapointment with starfield and its absolutely amazing, i cant wait to get into the stuff your talking about here. Thanks for the great video!
Lol, I think your voice is perfect :) Agree with your summary. I had never been interested in doing the settlement quests, (including the now required one) but now I probably will just to get to the new content.
Great summary of the update. Agree with what you said about the end game gating of this update it was sorely needed and fits well as a progression of the existing lore. Love this new update and think hello games have done really well in listening to the community and providing an imaginative solution to issues raised.
The way I go about taking out the pirate freighter: 0. Have a weapon that dishes out damage quickly. I recommend infra-knife stuffed into as many supercharged slots as possible for high damage, firerate and heat dispersion. (A good starship with nice damage bonus and a good supercharged slot arrangement with help massively) 1. Trench runs. Slide into the trench on the near side and line yourself up to clear the shield generators. Downing the turret isn't necessary but helps if you don't really have the strongest shield on your starship. Boost through the trench and repeat for the other side. 2. Find a fuel rod and stick to it. Sit there, divert power to shields if need be or to weapons if you can tank the turret fire, and mow down the freighter. Bonus damage is dealt if you hit the fuel rods. Depending on how quickly you downed the shield generators and how much damage you can do to the fuel rods the civilian freighter will be anywhere from 70% hull health left to 20% shield left, give or take. 3. Unless you want to hire them, go and kill the pirate frigates too for that "NO SURVIVORS" effect. 4. Mass murder the civilian fleet yourself and sell what you got from them. 5. Go to a different outlaw system and return to step 1.
Dreadnauts are actually crazy common when warping between outlaw stations. I have gone 3 for 3 in a row before. Think there’s a cooldown of a couple mins (5-10) but I was farming annoyed from stolen weapons/tech anyways during that time
I just yesterday finished the main quest line and got the autophage quest which is soo cool! I was already amazed by the Outlaws Systems and Sentinel Ships, but I didn't know so much about this update. Thank you for all the cool informations I can't wait to play the game now even further. There is a lot of cool stuff waiting for me
something kinda small that gets me interested is that the autophage are the first non-character NPCs (polo, nada, etc.) to have varying unique cosmetics, some that the player (as far as im aware) cant even access such as arm blasters and wirey bodies and destroyed torsos. Since NEXT every korvax, gek, traveler, and vykeen just kinda looks the same as the rest of their species only differing in height, head, and color (travelers especially used to have more variation from what i remember) so seeing this with the autophage makes me wonder if other races will have the same variation again someday Also i got a glitch where the new cosmetics cost units instead of void motes, i feel guilty but i just bought all of them cuz cmon theyre so cool
Man I want the salvaged multi-tool shoulder pads they have, they look so cool and plays off their theme of being made from whatever scraps they could find, but darn it I want those cosmetics too!
I hope you do a lore video on the autophage because they shine a complete new light on the Void and its relation with the rest of the universe and the Atlas itself, pretty interesting stuff.
No man’s sky is learning and figuring it out, which most big title companies aren’t too worried about, they are a title I wouldn’t mind a spending a few bucks on here and there even though I really don’t need to
Id like hello games to add more things for underwater stuff like more fauna and leviathans. Also more emotes, could you guys imagine a traveller passing by doing the gritty😂😂
Speaking of various shops, it would be interesting if you could hunt down spaceship vendors. They could have a B, A and S slot for randomized ships and have a couple landing pads for other ships to show up and give you more options to buy. Alternatively, they could put them on space stations if they preferred. idk, I just think the world could use a little more life. We have colossal archives nowadays, which are massive (as the name suggests) and have a ton of people on them. So why not make buildings that feel a bit more lived-in. Kinda like a trade outpost, but better structured so it doesn't feel like a tiny little bus station... They could be attached to other buildings, maybe, to add variety. I'm all for locations like this because these are the spots I'd really like to build a base next to. When I first built my base on a now defunct/deleted save, an update came to change the way planets were generated and a colossal archive appeared just a few feet from said base. I don't know if I had even seen it before or if it was in the game at that point (I think it was added in that update, but I can't recall), but I thought it was really cool and liked having it near my base. But the base I had was a temporary location and not one I intended to keep forever. I'm very picky about my planets and *to this day* I have never found a planet biome I liked so much I felt like living on it permanently. I truly am a wandering Traveller, no place to call my own. Can't even settle on a spaceship I like. But it's so hard to find something you know you're going to keep forever when everything is randomized and you might like the next big thing that comes along. It's kind of a disease for me because I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed ADHD, so even if I did find something I loved I'd end up replacing it when something new and shiny enters my peripherals.
While the new stuff in this update does sound awesome I really, really wish they'd deepen what's already there. There is SO much stuff that is just window dressing, but could easily be made more. While I do really enjoy the game, it's more and more becoming a very large, but very shallow pool.
Yes. I hope that they don't fall in this trap. If they integrate new content and do what you are saying, the game would smash Star Citizen and Starfield together.
@@DanielFerreira-hz4cc I feel like like they're already in this trap for the most part, i mean look at this update, there are fleet battles now but your fleet doesn't necessarily do anything still, combatwise
i still waiting for them to finish half baked automation system. You can mine resources automatically, put them to storage automatically, you can create items automatically but you cant connect stored resources to creation machines.... automation is almost there but just last step is missing. I wanna make space factories
they dont have to try hard, they hack the minds of simpletons and stream audiences/nonplayers who sing their praises when they spin their tires by releasing more reskins and entice them with a shiny trinket they wave in front of their noses every 3 months.. their whole community is a clown show of most proudest dupers who cant break an already broken economy.
@@DanielFerreira-hz4cc it wont ever happen,, that ship sailed long ago- they're already praised as the best devs ever with each lazy reskin, any complaint about the gameplay is drowned out by the praises for making a bananna look like an orange.
This update feels like a foreshadowing of future updates. Sean did mention somewhere that Singularity was part 2 of a 4-part story arc, and there was no story added to the Voyagers expedition, so whatever comes next should be a direct continuation of Echoes. And here we now have a new race popping up all over the galaxy that is all about salvaging materials and assembling things yourself. And salvaging ship parts to assemble our own ships has been a long-requested feature. That and multi-swords. But multi-staves will do.
I’m 80 hours into my play through this time around (on PSVR2!) and I’m still learning. I’m rich in units and Nanites and feel like I’m end-game ready, but I’m still a noob. That’s an awesome feeling, because I’m 80 hours in and can’t wait to put another 80 into it. Soooo much left to do.
@@tydendurler9574 lol I have a life. I work 48 hours a week and make good money in the factory. $400 ps5, $550 PSVR2. Got it with a tax return. I’m also building a house.
It would be great to have a menu or a page where one could look at ones overall, individual stats like the ships i.e. health 200. Shields 172. Distance able to travel 500u walking. It would make it a little more comfortable for me to see what an upgrade mod has done.
I agree that we need more multitool slots or, as some other comments have suggested, gun racks or cabinets, that way you have to decide which ones you wana bring with you while away from home or your freighter. Also something that's more a wish for something I wana see in game, I would like to see some updates to settlement managing, like the ability to start another settlement from the ground up, or a way to set up defenses for the settlement for when the sentinels decide to attack and some more urgency to stop the attacks quickly like with pirate dreadnoughts.
I'm honestly with you on the multi-tool limit not being raised, I feel like that should have been obvious, especially considering they've done this for starships in the past when releasing new ship types. I have a feeling they'll get the feedback and add it soon. Otherwise this update is crazy good. I lost my first dreadnought battle, the civvy ship was destroyed and the pirates got away but man was it cool! I'm glad to have something that actually poses a challenge.
I am 300 hours in no mans sky since being hooked in April when I first started playing. And I see no reason to slow down. I have done so much and almost everything in the game, including the expedition missions. the game is a blast.
The fact that you are even recording rn shows your commitment. Just got over a bad case of bronchitis that lasted for about a month myself. It ain’t fun. The coughing fits are just as bad as a pneumonia just with just less liquid in the lungs.
We need stashes. A garage of sorts. Somewhere you can hang extra spare multitools, park extra ships, and maybe add some sort of actual trading of ships and multitools. Customization might come thanks to the new multitool, but trading would be enough, I believe.
I can only understand some very rare occasions where someone wouldnt subscribe to a channel due to their voice and this definitely isn't one of them. This was a very well made video and a great way to learn about the major features that came with the update. I've definitely subscribed for more. Keep up the great work!
This new update is looking pretty cool. It is getting me to re-install the game once again. Also putting new content after the main quest gives players incentive to actually complete it. I never completed the main quest because there wasn't a reason for me to but now when i play it again there is a reason for me to do it.
This is awesome. I havent finished the main quest yet but even still, this is a good move by hello games. Taking care of your veteran players should be just as important as taking care of your new players
It's a bit cheesy but, if one collects a bunch of missions from the Autophages, many different camps, one only has to complete the mission type once to count for all same type missions. I.e. if you have 5 missions to help fix an Autophage, one only has to fix one to count for all 5!
i have a feeling there gonna raise the multitool limit. they already did once, and im sure they know people want more slots so odds are it will be added in next update. everything other then that i'd say is fantastic.
Ah yes, the classic "This is my staff! There are many like it, but this one is mine!" you gotta love it. Just got the game myself so I'm still learning all this stuff but having a magic space staff sounds amazing.
I’m new to this game. I say this after 50+ hours lol, because it’s just been a couple weeks. I’m ADDICTED. Last but i was playing and got involved in a story line that was super exciting and i just got this overwhelming sense of…i love this game. I was having so much fun. And I’m hardly new to gaming. Discovering new things, relaxing on a beautiful planet…It’s amazing.
I would be happy with a gun cabinet or multitool pegboard (or make the current one able to allow a player to add their multitool for storage/display). Also the power diversion status icon is in the bottom right of the screen.
This is everything Ive ever wanted. More stuff that actually gives genuine purpose to getting the maximum upgrades, best stuff etc. a proper end game or at least something like it that its rather engaging other then getting your quadrillion unit.
Seeing all the content added to the game in this update, I actually have to wonder if perhaps Echoes are a start to even more updates in the future. You see, there are two particular mechanics in this update that I guarantee Hello Games is experimenting in the background. First is... the Multi-tool crafting mechanic. While right now it is only limited to autophage staffs, I could see it potentially being expanded into other multi-tools as well, or, if things might be going the way they are going, ship and freighter crafting as well. And second is the capital ship battles. For starters, I don't think freighter crafting would come anytime soon, since many other things need to be developed for it to work properly. However, that being said, I think we might expect the ship crafting to drop either with or after the rumored Station Overhaul update, which would make sense. The new stations look massive, and I bet some of those might contain a ship crafting terminal. As for the materials needed to craft a ship... they can either do it via units/nanites/a new exotic currency, or perhaps repurpose some of the items for ship construction, like maybe some trade goods or agri/gas products. As for capital ship battles, I think we might soon see potential battles where you would be able to summon your own freighter in order to assist in battle. The groundwork for it was already laid down with the Pirate Dreadnaught. You have an anti-capital ship weapon template via the heat-cannons, which can be reused to create ballistic, beam and energy weapons. You have the emergency warp mechanic which could trigger for your freighter if HP goes down. And you even have anti-freighter torpedoes, which, with some AI tweaking, the ships from the enemy freighter will aggro onto them, thus creating a tactical battle where you not only need to kill the enemy capital ship, but also make sure yours won't go down in smoke. This is pretty much my wishlist for future No Man's Sky updates, hopefully they will bring attention and overhaul to the agriculture/gas components since I can easily see them being used to craft multi-tools, ships, freighters and so on.
I haven't even looked a single video of this game since I played it for about 20 hours when it first launched. I've obviously heard that it's improved a lot since then but I never really fancied playing it again. After giving Starfield a go on Gamepass and deleting it again fairly quickly, I really wanted to play a space game that is actually about... you know... space! It's genuinely pretty insane seeing how much better this game looks now. Downloading it again as we speak!
I want a dreadnought as my capital ship. The first time I saw the battle I thought you could side with the pirates, destroy the freighter, to have an opportunity to buy the dreadnought. An even better idea would be to keep the battles the same, but have a mission where you put your own freighter and frigates against a larger and more powerful boss dreadnought where you have to weaken it. You can destroy it as a recurring mission to earn random rewards OR you could board it for a derelict-like run where you fight your way to the captain and take the ship over. This would then be like a secondary freighter. You'd need to repair it and then you can upgrade it for use in any freighter battle with higher difficulty, but better rewards.
A few months back, someone dug up on old developer interview where they talked about the multiplayer tech they use. Basically, the reason multiplayer is, shall we say rough, is because they use a generic Microsoft service that's not really meant for this kind of game. In short, the only way to really make the multiplayer work how we'd like, would mean completely rebuilding it from scratch. I'm not saying it will never happen, but if it does, it'll be a massive undertaking.
I loved it, however, by end game you have so broken guns and ships and so good resistance, that it doesn't trigger the same feeling of danger that at the beggining, there should be more threats in end game, Even the new battleship battle was a piece of cake once You understand how to deal with it
I like the boss freighter battle mechanic. It's kind of challenging and feels like a traditional video game boss. I think it be cool if we could apply this mechanic to the giant worms on the planet surface. A whole new way to play the game could be players assuming the role of galactic monster hunters.
After years of eyeballing this game and after picking up a psvr2.I wanted a nice long game full of exploration. It went on sale this Black Friday so I finally picked it up and I've been having a blast
You have to defeat 5 waves of sentinels to get a pillar location, but once you've found it you can melee boost straight to the console and shut the whole planet down before the guards have a chance to aggro. They just drop canisters all around - you don't have to fight them again.
No Mans Sky is always getting better and I like all of the ideas of the new content. To offer more end content is a big idea and they can bring additional features in the future. What I really like to see is more content to eyplore. More different facilities, buildings, unique places you can find on planets and in the space. To extend flora / faune, add new technologies. A big research system where you can work on new materials and equipment, same for ships. May be a own space station as a bigger alternative to freighters. 2 more factions was a really good idea and if we get far more major factions (may be 20?) and several minor factions who offer something special would be nice. This was a weak point in the game. So there is plemty of room to enhance the game. But overall from the weak start years ago to today it is a huge development.
We need more outfit preset slots. I really wanna try these new ones but i love my 3 existing sets too much and i don't wanna have to tinker with all the colours again
You can change your outfit without storing it to a save slot. You just exit, and when it asks if you want to save the changes, hit yes. It doesn't overwrite the save slots, just the outfit you're currently wearing
I think instead of increasing the amount of multi-tools you can hold I think they should make mult-tool racks that you can put on your freighter and store multi-tools
I think a neat idea would be a spin on the Derelict freighters, but continuing with the theme of the Autophage we could instead go into the fragments of Korvax Prime, essentially being procedurally generated halls full of space dangers and new types of corrupted sentinels, like corrupted robo-dogs and mechs with some brand new ones. The rewards maybe MAYBE would be procedurally generated parts to make your own spaceship, basically the same as crafting our own staffs and whatnot.
Thanks for the video. I’m only 30 hours in and I’m loving it. I loved it so I bought it for all my systems. Pc/ps4 vr/switch. I play mainly on my switch. The switch version is really great. You can totally see where, graphically, they made some performance decisions but in my opinion that doesn’t take away from the fun. NMS in VR is absolutely breathtaking. Granted, PSVR1 is not the best setup out there. You still get an experience that is by far one of my favorites. Again, thanks for the videos.
I've got the option to do the trace of metal missions but have not. I have gone through all the Autophage missions and I have gotten my first staff. So I don't think you need to actually finish the trace of metal missions to trigger it.
The one thing I always wanted from Minecraft and other similar-ish games is a more in-depth combat system and NMS is so close to being there. I'm not super far into it yet, but most everything feels like a cake walk. Which is generally fine, it's a super casual game after all, however I'd really like to see even more depth in the combat through enemy types, challenging encounters, stronghold raids, and so on. The pirate dreadnoughts look amazing! Def looking forward to completeing the game and experiencing everything I haven't yet.

with the addition of other kinds of displays for player collectibles, this has to be on their radar. Fingers crossed.
Oh right on, yes with Multi-tool scrapping, filtering through old ones in order to search for others to display would be so nice.
So many ideas!
100% this. i have a couple multitools i will never use for gameplay that i just think look really cool id love to be able to display them alongside all of my other discoveries

Yeah was thinking the same. Hotkey on pc, choice wheel on console
Same, or at least the ability to hold the up button to go to a specific onee
That would be ideal! Hopefully they implement that in the next update. Thanks for commenting.
13:50 this video of the space battle is so cool, all the ships close together, lasers everywhere, and you playing in 1st person gives a really nice vibe to it

i was blown away the first time i randomly came across one of these i was so occupied looking at the cool lasers id accidentally let the trader freighter get blown up and then the pirates ran away after i blew their shields still had fun and got me thinking about strategies i could try for next time
It’s especially awesome on the PSVR2!

No real reason to go into the water except to salvage ships.
underwater update needs to happen and your sequel idea is so fire
No Mans Sky is easily a top 10 favorite game of all time in my book.
they should do one called "delves" or something and it overhauls the planets depths and cave generations, making it deeper and actual good cave gen
with new quests n such to be a "Delver"
its easier for them to reap the praise for more reskins
Ya this update is pretty awesome. Main thing that ive wanted for years now is for gas gaints to be implemented into the game and for you to be able to build orbital bases around them.
honestly id love to build a proper orbital base not a freighter just a static personal space station. to add to your gas giant wishes maybe you could build certain modules onto your orbital base that scoops up some of the planets rare gases for use in advanced crafting
@@boney2982 and set up a way that would allow your freighter to dock with it
@@boney2982 It would work really well to implement gas giants and have them have materials you need to create orbital bases and then make those bases around regular planets if you want to.
I’m so sorry to hear about the bronchitis. I hope you get better soon!
This is exactly what I was waiting for - a review of the new update, thank you very much, I like watching you, you are the coolest TH-camr on NMS!
The update is awesome. Their last few content updates have really had a massive quality increase for gameplay compared to something like Exomech or Frontiers where it was just "Get thing so you can have thing, it doesn't do anything but you have it now. The end."
Starting a new game is now so eerie when you know the autophage are around every drop pod, beacon, crashed freighter and ancient ruins.. you know they're there, but you can't see them until much later.
One thing I'm confused about is how come there's only 1 model for the royal multitool and 2 for sentinel types and why they're not procedural like the atlantid ones. 😅
And I haven't seen anyone mention these 2 features yet... the game now has brand new music and NPCs now have different body type and height variations.
How is that for a hint that Starfield is a flop comparable to what NMS did at launch?
im returning to the game having recently gotten a ps5. i played the game extensively at launch and only stopped cuz of deployments.
anytime i tried to return id get bored despite the updates..
i love the horror i wish things were more streamlined and it looks like this update has a lot more “focus” put into it! great video very informative.. i’ve seen a lot of stuff that’s inspiring me to play especially since space scifi i games are still rare on console
wow Kanaju sounds super macho and stuff
💪👨🚀
I just got into no mans sky because of my dissapointment with starfield and its absolutely amazing, i cant wait to get into the stuff your talking about here. Thanks for the great video!
Lol, I think your voice is perfect :) Agree with your summary. I had never been interested in doing the settlement quests, (including the now required one) but now I probably will just to get to the new content.
Thank you. Kanaju! I have yet to play Echoes or the just released expedition 11 so I appreciate the information without the details of the story arc.
Great summary of the update. Agree with what you said about the end game gating of this update it was sorely needed and fits well as a progression of the existing lore. Love this new update and think hello games have done really well in listening to the community and providing an imaginative solution to issues raised.
This update probably motivated most of people that wasnt completing storyline
The way I go about taking out the pirate freighter:
0. Have a weapon that dishes out damage quickly. I recommend infra-knife stuffed into as many supercharged slots as possible for high damage, firerate and heat dispersion.
(A good starship with nice damage bonus and a good supercharged slot arrangement with help massively)
Great job dude!!! Great video!! Hope your voice gets better!! Doesnt sound too bad.
They should make a new type of advanced end game dungeon with interesting enemies.
Also with new weapons, they need a weapon display furniture
that would require them to have actual skill at coding
Dreadnauts are actually crazy common when warping between outlaw stations. I have gone 3 for 3 in a row before. Think there’s a cooldown of a couple mins (5-10) but I was farming annoyed from stolen weapons/tech anyways during that time
I just yesterday finished the main quest line and got the autophage quest which is soo cool! I was already amazed by the Outlaws Systems and Sentinel Ships, but I didn't know so much about this update. Thank you for all the cool informations I can't wait to play the game now even further. There is a lot of cool stuff waiting for me
Awesome review of the update Kanaju! I hope your super macho voice comes back soon!
Thanks! 🙏 I'm sure I'll return to regular levels of machismo soon! Hopefully... lol
something kinda small that gets me interested is that the autophage are the first non-character NPCs (polo, nada, etc.) to have varying unique cosmetics, some that the player (as far as im aware) cant even access such as arm blasters and wirey bodies and destroyed torsos. Since NEXT every korvax, gek, traveler, and vykeen just kinda looks the same as the rest of their species only differing in height, head, and color (travelers especially used to have more variation from what i remember) so seeing this with the autophage makes me wonder if other races will have the same variation again someday
Also i got a glitch where the new cosmetics cost units instead of void motes, i feel guilty but i just bought all of them cuz cmon theyre so cool
Man I want the salvaged multi-tool shoulder pads they have, they look so cool and plays off their theme of being made from whatever scraps they could find, but darn it I want those cosmetics too!
@@bonelesschickennuggets1868 same, they also have hand multitools, but for obvious reasons that wont work with players
Great video, as ever. I've shared it on my facebook group & twitter.
I hope you do a lore video on the autophage because they shine a complete new light on the Void and its relation with the rest of the universe and the Atlas itself, pretty interesting stuff.
No man’s sky is learning and figuring it out, which most big title companies aren’t too worried about, they are a title I wouldn’t mind a spending a few bucks on here and there even though I really don’t need to
I hope one day in this game they more ground combat like fighting pirate planetside
Get better soon man! Awesome vid as always!
Thanks! I'll try to take it easier tomorrow (I say planning another video). Thanks for the support!
I hope that, after offering us the ability to build some multitools, they'll offer us the ability to build or customize our starships.
Starfield's ship builder made me realize all the more how much I need and love such a system if it's nice a fleshed out.
Great video! Thanks for the information on the new upgrades.
Acces after finishing main Story? HELL YEAH IT BETTER HAHAHA, im new and im already overwhelemed with the content changes DAYM 100/10
As someone who's never watched anything of yours before; your voice sounded perfectly fine to me.
Great Vid! Thanks for tell us about the new Monolith stuff. I missed that part completely.
Congrats on having no life BUT a PS5 + PSVR2 for like 5000 Dollarydoos
Do you feel like those people at the beginning of "Ready Player One" yet?
@@tydendurler9574 lol I have a life. I work 48 hours a week and make good money in the factory. $400 ps5, $550 PSVR2. Got it with a tax return. I’m also building a house.
It would be great to have a menu or a page where one could look at ones overall, individual stats like the ships i.e. health 200. Shields 172. Distance able to travel 500u walking. It would make it a little more comfortable for me to see what an upgrade mod has done.
There is a power distribution icon for ships. It's in the bottom right hand corner with different icons for each mode
I feel like even if they gave us like display cases for our multi tool for bases would be awesome
I wonder when they will add the ability to customise ships. They have done so much with this game it's insane comparing it to when it launched 🔥
I.e. if you have 5 missions to help fix an Autophage, one only has to fix one to count for all 5!
i have a feeling there gonna raise the multitool limit. they already did once, and im sure they know people want more slots so odds are it will be added in next update. everything other then that i'd say is fantastic.
another epic Kanaju video!
Guillermo in "What we do in the shadows". Can't be only me.
Know that to be able to possess a Pirate Freighter would be awesome for the Pirates ☠ out there. But I would greatly appreciate new Freighter styles
I didn't complete "A Trace of Metal" just had it started with the sentinel body turned in but I was still allowed to do the Autophage quest
On the language thing - there's also tons of new words for the previously existing races. 🙂
Having a blast - This is a great update!
I secretly wish they will reload expeditions 1-4 - I missed them = (
Yeah, I hope one day they add a way to play all expeditions again whenever you want.
You'd need to repair it and then you can upgrade it for use in any freighter battle with higher difficulty, but better rewards.
starwars battlefront 2 flashbacks immediately. best update in ages
Hoping they will improve the companions. I’d love for some them to spit fire or poison
At least they added the ability to scrap multitools for parts. Helps a bunch.
If you didn't realize they actually did if you look at the bottom right of your screen there's a new icon for the power
I loved it, however, by end game you have so broken guns and ships and so good resistance, that it doesn't trigger the same feeling of danger that at the beggining, there should be more threats in end game, Even the new battleship battle was a piece of cake once You understand how to deal with it
that's how progression works
I'm waiting for first person animations overhauls... for every kind of animation from shooting to eating.
I like the boss freighter battle mechanic. It's kind of challenging and feels like a traditional video game boss. I think it be cool if we could apply this mechanic to the giant worms on the planet surface. A whole new way to play the game could be players assuming the role of galactic monster hunters.
In made a gypsy camp at a crashed freighter years ago. Good to see they actually pay attention to the community
After years of eyeballing this game and after picking up a psvr2.I wanted a nice long game full of exploration. It went on sale this Black Friday so I finally picked it up and I've been having a blast
Thanks for the content man and I hope you get well soon and stay well for a long long time!!
Thanks for watching! And you and me both. lol
I hope they make robotic styled ships. Like necron style ships from 40k.
Also, star wars battlefront 2 PS2 2005 is one of my favorite games of all time as well
You have to defeat 5 waves of sentinels to get a pillar location, but once you've found it you can melee boost straight to the console and shut the whole planet down before the guards have a chance to aggro.
They just drop canisters all around - you don't have to fight them again.
I have played a lot of Multiplayer with my son, me on PS5 and him on his Steamdeck, we have not met any issues.
After all this years, i an still wating for a fauna update, that is the only thing stopping me for purchasing the game again for PC
Bronchitis Kanaju just sounds younger
We need more outfit preset slots. I really wanna try these new ones but i love my 3 existing sets too much and i don't wanna have to tinker with all the colours again
it takes like 2 minutes
You can change your outfit without storing it to a save slot. You just exit, and when it asks if you want to save the changes, hit yes. It doesn't overwrite the save slots, just the outfit you're currently wearing
Triggering pirate dreadnought battles - first time needs to be in an Outlaw system, but after that first one, it can happen in any system.
The rewards maybe MAYBE would be procedurally generated parts to make your own spaceship, basically the same as crafting our own staffs and whatnot.
get well soon!!
Thanks! 🙏
I'm hoping for the day we can have full control and overhaul our ship. Like hover, yaw, side rolls and all that stuff. Dogfight 2.0 would be amazing!
I know there was a mod that was trying to let you display your mulittool on a plaque, similar to skyrim weapon racks. But it never got anywhere
I've got the option to do the trace of metal missions but have not. I have gone through all the Autophage missions and I have gotten my first staff. So I don't think you need to actually finish the trace of metal missions to trigger it.
Need sumthin like a Multi Tool Storage Rack / Display Case for bases and freighters.
Anybody who was or still is sleeping on No Man's Sky is missing out on one of the greatest games ever made. That's for sure
I think that the exocraft is the least touched one
They could improve it and make it more useful
yes,but it already is pretty useful
Get well soon nerd. Thanks for the video.
