This is one of the best performances of Home I've ever seen. It wasn't too dark or aggressive like a lot of other people, it sounded like a Disney princess yet it was beautiful and still rich. She is truly phenomenal. I'm taking notes since I will be playing Belle this year in my spring musical.

I agree so much! Most Belles tend to be super angry and fierce, which doesn't entirely suit the moment; she is really sad, though she is defiant and trying hard to be brave. Kara is perfect.

When I first watched this video a couple years ago, I was at my lowest darkest point in my anorexia. And while watching this I thought, “I want to be half as talented as her.” And in that literally exact moment i realized that in order to do that I had to get healthy. Ever since then, I’ve been working on my self and accepting help for my ED. I’m not 100% yet, but whenever I want to relapse into habits, I think about if Kara knew what she did for me and how disappointed she would be if I put it to waste 💕❤️💕

I lov how much emotion she puts into each and every performance she does;
When she was in Newsies, you wouldn't think it was her Broadway debut! She's freaking increible! But I see why the production team for that musical chose her (and Jeremy Jordan) to play one of the main leads;
Kara OWNS the stage and makes the character she's given her own and she's so gorgeously and insanely talented at body language, facial expression and stage prescence, same with Jeremy Jordan, he can present hiself as any character he wants and brings so much emotion to everything he does on and off stage! And they are just the best pairing for a show like Newsies.
She gave me goosebumps during this video! And I might have cried and listened to this on repeat for a few days to get all my feels out!

Literally, hearing her sing makes me cry
I’m mad because she’s so talented and doesn’t need any effects or auto tune to sound good, yet they felt to put some kind of echo effect on her mic. If you don’t believe me, listen very closely to the notes that she holds for a few seconds. It’s like a tiny, quiet voice that’s a millisecond behind Kara’s voice.
At 2:11 when she sings “try to find” it’s the most noticeable
that's just reverb, it's very common to make it sound fuller and more alive.

Goosebumps the entire time - love watching her channel Belle and stay there the whole performance with expression and intonation. Simply beautiful!
In 2015, I was in a production of 'Beauty and the Beast Jr.' with my homeschool performing arts group. My first musical performance ever. We had a soundtrack to listen to while learning the songs, of course, and I remember being struck by the passion in this song. It's so nice to finally be able to put a face to that beautiful, soulful voice. I also remember hoping that someday I could make people feel how she made me feel when listening to that song. I'm working very hard to get there now. Thank you, Kara Lindsay, for such an impact!

I actually don't mind it. It's distinctly her, and it brings a unique presence to the phrasing. I couldn't get away with it myself, because that's not my natural tone, but it works with her
