Maneuvering between head, mix, and belt that perfectly is just a master class. Just let me swim in this voice for a minute please!!! I love this. Thank you!
So I’ve always wondered this. While I’m glad they changed the like “...but I know that I can’t solve my problems going back.” To “...and to think I complained of that dull provincial town.” Why do they now always cut out the second verse? “Is this home? Is this what I must learn to believe in? Try to find something good in this tragic place, just in case I must stay here forever held in this empty space. Oh but that won’t be easy, I know the reason why, my heart’s far far away. Home’s a lie.” Why is that verse now always cut out?! I don’t get it, it’s beautiful.
mehmet adem barissever Putting home in the live action movie would feel empty. It’s Belles big emotional breakdown where she realises her life has changed and there’s no turning back for her. A big emotional breakdown would require Watson to show some damn emotion and actually have her try to, y’know act. Same with putting a song like If I Can’t Love He in there. It’s a song that gives depth to the Beast and explores his tortured soul. Live action Beast is not a tortured soul who learns to love someone. He’s an obnoxious jerk who learns nothing. There’s no emotion, no connection between the characters, no chemistry with the actors. Putting any of these songs in the movie would be meaningless. So we get dollar store discount versions of the songs for the actors to fumble their way through with their one note performances.
@@TheGladInGladiator that's true. Putting the songs in a sterile production just to hear another rendition is pointless. The movie shouldn't have taken the route it did.
How does she sound EXACTLY the same as she did in 1994? Incredible!!
I think she sounds even better!
Right?! I love her so much. 💜
I’m calling it. She’s a witch!
My sister did a recital of this something like 30 years ago and it brings back nice memories. ❤ Hits different when you're homeless.
I hope you are connected to the resources you need to feel secure ❤
I’d never considered this song from that perspective before, thank you 🙏
She is still amazing. No one can sing Belle like Susan can.
What about Paige O'Hera? The voice of Belle?
@@nonyabusiness3619 Paige was Belle in the animation. Susan was in the Original Broadway Cast, which to me is still the gold standard.
@@salkdiaz totaly agree
So many years from when she sang this on Broadway and she only sounds better. I didn’t even think that was possible. I love this woman
25 years later and she still sounds the exact same! Not Fair!!!
Oh my goodness! Her voice is still just as magnificent! 💜💜

So much emotion
She is the best Belle!
Unparalleled excellence.

YES. I love that verse.
Timing usually. But when we did the show back in 2017, we kept both verses! I was very happy.
I love her voice.
This should've been in the live action remake.
for emma watson's autotune to butcher it
mehmet adem barissever they didn’t earn it. They didn’t earn the right to sing any of the songs from the Broadway musical.
@@TheGladInGladiator what right? They're all owned by disney.

Such an inspiration. Simply marvelous.
This really needed to be in the movie
Just as fabulous as ever!!
Absolutely stunning performance!
so beautiful and uplifting, thanks Susan
Just as beautiful as ever! 😀
Amazing! 😍

I feel like I am the only one who never knew she was Meg in Hercules. Favorite Disney characters too. Lol 🤦♀️
😍😍
