Bourne to Melton Mowbray //Road Review

A scenic route from Bourne, Lincolnshire to Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, driven for video highlights in an MGF. And yes, I get east and west mixed up - how's that for a travel guide? The roads are the A151, then across the A1 onto the B676.

The B676 was a great road out of Melton to Buckminster until Leicestershire County Council changed the speed limit to 50mph with average speed cameras along the freeby stretch. Yes there were accidents down that stretch of road but I still think average speed camera enforcing a National Speed Limit would have been just as effective however Leicestershire County Council seem to be going though a faze of lowering speed limits on most A and B roads. Some more crazy than others for example Green Lane near Waltham is now a 50 zone which is a signal track road with passing places. If anyone manages to do more than 40 along that stretch of road I salute you, what a total waste of signage.

@@EGMedia1 at 5:20 you're near to its location. All the houses are painted the same as they belong to the Buckminster Estate. I lived in Buckminster for a couple of years before moving to Hampshire. Pleasant enough place but very very (very) quiet!
