To answer his question at 30:19, if Corey had the Gilded Lotus, it would tap for 177,147 mana. He is correct for the most part, It's actually X*3^10, where X is the original amount you would get.
Watching this one out of season, but i hope you all are doing well. @jeremy this is the guy who sent in that maelstrom artist proof to you. Im so glad to hear you still have it. John used my Doran deck i built in a finally back in 2018 too. Just have such a connection with you guys. Much love.
What’s wild is Jeremy could have won this game if he sacrificed his Dualcaster to the Bombardment and copied it with Hofri. But this ending was funnier.
Corey's spell would have stopped it fwiw so the result is the same. I agree Jeremy didn't even use what makes his commander great and try to fight through it though
Less than halfway through the video Steven started his turn that concluded the game. And this is one of the funniest commander vs videos I’ve ever watched 😂
Stephen playing a Cheatyface off of Selvala's Stampede and then having Phyrexian Metamorph enter as a copy of it was just pure psychological warfare. Edit: Jesus, and then Rite of Replication? Savage.
WOW I had so much fun watching you guys play!!! That's why you easily remain my favorite commander show. Period!!! Thank you so much for this early X-mas present to us the community!!!
Classic game of Maelstrom Wanderer. Cast your commander, get interacted with, still go infinite and win the game on turn 4. What's funny is that Jeremy could have won through the dispatch (though he'd have been stopped by Corey). Crazy game and a great example of why games like this are only fun when they happen every once in a while
This was hysterical! Steven, never change. This was a gem the likes of which might only be rivaled by the all mill game back in the day with our good friend Justin Parnell. Thank you all for continuing this series and brightening our lives with your silly antics, wacky decks and shenanigans week week. Happy Holidays to you all and keep 'em coming!
John's deck tech was great. "We all know Jeremy loves playing sultai and stealing our cards and playing them on his side of the board, so I did none of that for him" though I do love how MOSTLY everyone built a deck for their person out of their comfort zone
THIS WAS THE GREATEST GAME OF COMMANDER I HAVE EVER SEEN EVER OMFG 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Idk what was better, stephen piloting the deck or Corey making the monstrosity in the first place. I'm off to build a maelstrom wanderer deck now cause that looked so fun!
This might just be my favourite episode ever. The stack was definitely not empty! He shouldn't lose a point though, the other play he said would have been so much funnier!
He didn’t need to lose a point for killing the table in one turn. Just take out John and Corey. Then leave the Lotus untapped and Jeremy at one life and on his upkeep do it again and kill him.
Merry Christmas! What a great year of SCG Commander! Loved watching you guys play. Learned so many new cool decks to play. Here's to whatever 2024 Commander has in store for us! Fallout????
Decklists! articles.starcitygames.com/magic-the-gathering/commander-vs-370-secret-santa-mtg-decks
Hey guys! Do we need to resubmit decks each time there’s a fan request episode? 🙌
I really hope this series never ends. i genuinely love spending my Wed mornings watching my weekly game of commander on this channel
They by far r my favorite group of EDH players on TH-cam!!! 😎 keep it up y'all!! 💪
Same. I have been watching since 2015
To answer his question at 30:19, if Corey had the Gilded Lotus, it would tap for 177,147 mana. He is correct for the most part, It's actually X*3^10, where X is the original amount you would get.
REALLY?!?!?! HAHAHAH Thank you for doing the math on this one. That is really awesome. Too bad it didn't happen. :P
Yeah, for reference a single basic forest for that taps for 59, 049 mana. @@CoreyBMTG
Sol Ring for 118,098 is kinda insane.
That is absurd.

This is one of the best Commander VS episodes, period! GG 🤘

The look of stephen and jonathan they gave eachother was just perfect 27:34
100% lol the looks said it all lol
I love that the last turn starts 18 minutes into the video XD
That Chef's Kiss was... Chef's Kiss
I timed that one perfectly! :P
@@CoreyBMTG for sure you did!
Steven taking all the permanents killed me. This was a hilarious episode
Omg I lost it when John started going bang bang bang bang 🤣
Chefs Kiss to Corey for pulling this action off!
Everyone watching: No way Corey gets 10 Nyxblooms.
Corey: Bet.
😂😂😂
28 mins in, a combo lethal was missed (almost twice), and every land tapped by Corey adds 59,049 mana. Nice.
Lesson of the episode: always pick free when your opponent casts Swlvala’s Stampede
Especially if they vote wild. Even if not, wild gives them card advantage as well instead of just mana cheating.
Corey has to sac an artifact with Rust Elemental when he has them. He isn't allowed to just tap it and lose 4
correct, at the 16ish minute mark he would have had to sac his sol ring
@@tehmadflip he also had the other mana rock, but yes one of them needed to be sacrificed
Whoops! I thought it was a choice. My bad!
@@CoreyBMTG Magic is hard. It's all good
@@CoreyBMTG Did you read the card? Reading the card explains the card. lol jk
The Trick-or-Treat Special has officially been topped, this is my new favorite episode lol
This episode had me absolutely howling with laughter. Thank you all on the show for such an amazing episode! Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!
Less than halfway through the video Steven started his turn that concluded the game. And this is one of the funniest commander vs videos I’ve ever watched 😂
This is the best episode of CV I’ve seen in long, long time. I want Steven’s deck.
That's the funniest episode of Commander VS EVER!!!😆😆😆
Stephen playing a Cheatyface off of Selvala's Stampede and then having Phyrexian Metamorph enter as a copy of it was just pure psychological warfare.
Edit: Jesus, and then Rite of Replication? Savage.
That's a sick hoodie Jeremy's got.
When Corey had 10 Nyxblooms, his lands each tap for 59,049 mana
This is the best episode of commander I’ve ever seen lol
Echoing the sentiment of many, probably the funniest game of EDH I have watched in some time!
59,049 mana for each 1 normally produced.
Also Best Episode ever.
Its the “10 F*cking Sol Rings” meme, only with Nyxbloom Ancient 😂 What a fun match!
WOW I had so much fun watching you guys play!!! That's why you easily remain my favorite commander show. Period!!!
Thank you so much for this early X-mas present to us the community!!!
That was pure gold. Great episode guys.
While acknowledging the amount of work the series must take, I love you guys. Here's to hoping you've got many more years of excellent content ahead.
Can't believe the Grinch stole Christmas! Lol this was such a great episode!
This was too funny! Such a great deck Stephen/Corey!
This is the GREATEST thing that has happened today! This was amazing!
This was the best game of commander I have every seen! I was creasing the entire time
Best episode ever!! More of that stuff. Merry Christmas fellas!!
Stephen became the grinch not only in color since he is green but also by taking everything everyone else had.
This is one of the most magical episodes ever. So funny!!
Classic game of Maelstrom Wanderer. Cast your commander, get interacted with, still go infinite and win the game on turn 4.
What's funny is that Jeremy could have won through the dispatch (though he'd have been stopped by Corey). Crazy game and a great example of why games like this are only fun when they happen every once in a while
Hands down best episode ever. Glad i came back to watch this one!
Such a great, fun episode! I would rather lots of laughter over anything else in a game of mtg
That was a turn of all time...
This is the best episode of commander I have ever witnessed
This was hysterical! Steven, never change. This was a gem the likes of which might only be rivaled by the all mill game back in the day with our good friend Justin Parnell. Helluva game, gentlemen. Helluva game.
Just maelstrom wanderer doing maelstrom wanderer thing. XD
Nice to see maelstrom wanderer back on the channel ever since Corey did my donation deck with it a years ago! IT GOT HIM HOOKED!
John's deck tech was great. "We all know Jeremy loves playing sultai and stealing our cards and playing them on his side of the board, so I did none of that for him" though I do love how MOSTLY everyone built a deck for their person out of their comfort zone
Best episode ever
Cascade's one hell of a drug.
Corey trying to figure out who made his deck at the start not realizing it couldn't even be Suarez
Corey's Chef's Kiss was truly the Chef's Kiss of all time.
Corey is correct. Each of his mana would be 3^10 mana, or 56,049.
59,049
THIS WAS THE GREATEST GAME OF COMMANDER I HAVE EVER SEEN EVER OMFG 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Idk what was better, stephen piloting the deck or Corey making the monstrosity in the first place. I'm off to build a maelstrom wanderer deck now cause that looked so fun!
You're a mean one Mr. Green
This was fantastic. GG
This might just be my favourite episode ever. The stack was definitely not empty! He shouldn't lose a point though, the other play he said would have been so much funnier!
Ya, so that's the best episode you have ever released. My god. I loved every second of this. I just wish it was four hours longer.
That was over so fast. What a gift😂
Jeremy's hoodie is awesome!
That was the most beautiful turn I have ever seen
This is the best game on the channel LMFAO
Wow, what a great episode!! You can tell these guys are really good friends!! Merry Christmas guys!!
Best game ever.
Chefs kiss was chefs kiss for real this game lol
Is it possible to give too good of a gift y'all?!
Never 😂
no way
This was fantastic, thanks for the episode!
This episode was just hilarious 😂
I laughed so hard in this episode, thank you!
That chefs kiss my god.
I needed this. I am in tears with laughter.
I love that Corey got 10 Nyxblooms and never got to untap LOL
I didn’t love that as much… 😂😂
Peak Stephen Green. this is good. more of this.
hands down the best turn in magic I've ever seen
I need that Maelstrom deck list lol
He didn’t need to lose a point for killing the table in one turn. Just take out John and Corey. Then leave the Lotus untapped and Jeremy at one life and on his upkeep do it again and kill him.
The triumphant return of cheatyface !
Commander is the best format. 👍
Stealing all of those permanents was great 😂
Poor Jeremy. I hate when I accidentally wash a white shirt with the load of brights...
Oh boy this was fun!
Merry Christmas! What a great year of SCG Commander! Loved watching you guys play. Learned so many new cool decks to play. Here's to whatever 2024 Commander has in store for us! Fallout????
Very fun episode. Happy Holidays fellas.
😂😂😂 Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays Jeremy Jon Corey and Green 🎉
godarm i love hofri ghostforge im sitting in tight for this one, HOFF IT UP
What a turn. 10/10
This is 100% a Chef's Kiss
It’s Wednesday and you know what that means Star city games on TH-cam
Damn Jeremy that's a tough hoodie. Where can I steal it?
John's version of Hofri looks awesome
This season summed up in this episode.
Can anyone, preferably the man himself, tell me where Jeremy got that sick hoodie?
That Sol Ring should have died at 17 minutes.
It's not a may.
You have to sack an artifact and if you can't, tap and take 4.
Best moment of this 38:48 anyone else?
Christmas came early :)
Thanks for a good show.
That was great!
hoping for some stinkers!!!!
What’s the deck list? That was CRAZY.
I wonder how this is going to work out I just submitted to each one my own CEDH's that my friends hate going against
Soo this is how the grinch stole christmas
