@Philip Barringer You don’t have to take the glove box out but you can just to make it easier to get to everything. I didn’t take it out because I just wanted to get everything done and over with and quite frankly I hate taking glove boxes out, even at work I avoid it like the plague lol

A tweaker changed out my blower motor from some back woods shop and then my AC was working perfectly. Now the thing is on full blast all the time. I turn the knob down to 1, still full blast. I turn climate off completely, then it blows full blast down on the feet. Idk how to fix it or how he managed to do that.
So I just replaced my blower motor resistor, and still no air 😭 I was thinking that was the problem because it was blowing sometimes but only on high.. it picks and chooses when to blow at all .. should I replace the motor next or something else ??

@@TheNemesisCoupe here is a partial update with non-conclusive results. Relatively easy to change out laying on my back. Turned it on and it blew air full speed. Turn the car off and went inside for an hour came back out and it would not turn on. Got down the road and it turned on by itself. Check engine light still on so I will go by O'Reilly's to have them check the code. But right now I'm at the park with a box of fried chicken chilling out. Will report back later

Ooh can you do a video on how to read the fuse box. I get confused because my top broke and it comes all the way off and I never know if I’m holding it the right way. Stupid I know but true. Another question is my inside phone chargers just stopped working, any idea why? I did change the fuses and still nothing. Thanks
Smith S. I had trouble reading the fuse box panel as well, it’s tricky but doable. I’ll make a video on that the next chance I get. And I’m not sure about the USB ports in the car not working. Possibly the wiring harnesses behind them got unplugged somehow? I’d check the connections and see if they got disconnected at any point.
What symptoms let you know that it was your blower motor was the problem? The AC on my Dart goes blows Max...to low...to nothing...to Max on level 7 whenever it wants. It blows cold so I know it’s not needing refrigerant.
I’d say that’s most likely your blower motor resistor. Anything related to fan speed would be the resistor, anything relating to no air vs air coming from the vents is your blower motor. If you have trouble with fan speeds then it’s the resistor.
@@TheNemesisCoupe I'm going to try to report back on this anomaly. I changed my blower motor resistor and still have variable speed issues with the blower motor itself. Changing the blower motor this morning. The blower motor resistor I changed out with a brand new one a couple of weeks ago after waiting like forever, 3 weeks, to get it shipped via USPS. The blower motor came in 2 days later via FedEx. So if anybody reading this wants quick turnaround try to ship at FedEx for the extra cost. I think it's worth it.

Other times it will come on on its own riding down the road. It never turns its self off though. Do you think that is the blower or something else?

Replaced the BM last night, your vid did help a lot. One thing I did find out that may help you in the future if you have to work in that area. It was easier for me to lay on my side across the seats and go in that way. I am a little over 6ft tall and I am old as crap with a bad back and knees crawling in from the passenger side was miserable for me.
Kara Spence I don’t mind lol if the blower motor or fan is stuck on only one speed setting then it’s the resistor that’s bad. If the blower motor cuts out and stops completely or has trouble staying on and works intermittently then it’s the blower motor that’s bad.

Alright Nemesis I need help. There are 2 sets of wires plugged into the resistor. The blue/black ones that sit on top of the blower motor red/ black wires... what do the blue ones go to? The heater/ac control panel??

Found one ( last one) they had at Home Depot... thank goodness. So I have changed the resistor and the blower motor and hope that fixes my issue. Fingers crossed. Awesome video, really helpful for someone who isnt car savvy. So I just have a question. My pos dart will have its days where heat or ac doesnt work and then I hit a bump or something and it works. What I've been doing is manually spinning the blower on the driver side down in that area and it would work maybe 3 out of 5 times. Lately however it hasn't worked much and it's been maybe 1 out of 10 times (gross estimate). I saw one of your comments suggesting replacing the resistor. Should I do so as well? Or just the blower? I dont really know what that does compared to the blower that I imagine is just a fan.
We bought the car with navigation already that was one of the main reasons (besides being manual) that we bought it. If I were you, I’d try replacing the blower motor first and see if that does it. The resistor is like the blower motor’s brain that tells it what to do. It controls the fan’s speed. I’m glad my video helped!!

Not a problem! And yeah we’ve had our Dart for 2 years now and it’s literally imploding, worst car ever. Handles great and the clutch is awesome, we got the Rallye 6peed manual with Navigation but other than that the car sucks. Glad my video helped and thank you for the support! We had the same issue with ours, ya hit the dash and it SOMETIMES turned on but over all I just decided to change it.

Holy crap, that’s crazy. I would take it to a reputable shop and have them double check the wiring along with the resistor.

I actually did not, typically the check engine light is mainly for emissions system problems or sensors. Did you scan the car for codes?

Omg EXACTLY fuck autozone oreilys and advance auto, they ALL wanted over 150$ for this blower motor and I bought mine for 60$ on eBay.
I second that 💯 Dodge & Chrysler are a piece of shit indeed. One needs intervention from above to put those screws back on that blower motor.

Yea my car was having electrical issues as well from the day I purchased it.
