    Very important to make pics comparable is the moment u apply a moisturizer or any serum. If u applied it on the 2nd one but not on the 1st one, it compromises the results.
    Better to compare without any skincare applied at all

    Thanks for such detailed information on this mask! I do notice a difference so I decided to purchase it. On Wayne's channel he said it was okay to use after skincare, but i see this mask company said to use on freshly cleansed skin. I'd love to use this like Wayne, after all skincare and right before bed. Do you think this is a bad idea? PS I love your hair!

    The good thing about these therapy masks is that they can’t hurt you, you simply cannot overdo it. I normally do this for 20 minutes. I love using a Hydro gel mask underneath and laying down and relaxing. Neutrogena has a Hydro gel mask. I believe you get 12 in a box compared to paying five dollars per mask from some of the Korean distributors that I use. I compared the ingredients to the Korean hydro gel masks and the Neutrogena masks and the ingredients were almost identical.

      hey, that is exactly why I am resistant to use them because so many people say that it caused facial fat loss and I am scared to risk because lising that ages you, At least that is what they say about radiofrequency and LED masks are doing the same right?:)

      You should never use any mask or product under as this would act as a mirror an not only not give you any benefits but reflect light back to the mask which shortens its longevity.

    What an informative review Karen. Thank you for also giving us a synopsis of the studies you've read. I've been interested in getting one of these (and a Trinity Nuface) to improve my lines and sagging skin. Neither are a runner at present due to finances but, thanks to you, I have decided to purchase this mask when I am able to. I could see a marked difference in the before and after pictures, definitely noticeable improvements and in only 30 days. Just remember not to answer the door whilst you've got the mask on! It does look scary ;)

  • @karenspier44

    I see huge difference in the sagging. Your face not only looks fresh but it looks plump. That i believe is because of the collagen stimulation from the mask.

    I bought mine 4 months ago and I love it. I use it minimum 5 days a week. My skin feels a lot more firmer. I incorporate it in my morning routine and if I can't I use it at night. It's easy to take on holidays. It's very pricey but worth it. Even if you can't afford this pricier mask you can get the harder LED masks. LED has helped my skin.

    Have you seen beauty by Anne-Marie. She mentions using green tea before NIR / LED. Seems there is evidence it speeds up the process dramatically. I made strong pure green tea and put it in a spray bottle. About 20 mins before I use the lights I spray my face two or three times letting it dry in between. It really does make a difference. Has helped my neck. Hx

I have had a bulky red/near infra-red 2 panel light box for years, but it's so unwieldy to use, I've never done it regularly. Hopefully this mask will make it easier to comply. Thank you for your thoughtful review! You go over a lot of the considerations I think are important to consider when investing in one of these devices. I’ve also watched your other video on this topic. I do see improvement here on both of your upper eyelids. I think the skin looks more firm and less droopy. I think your camera angle looks very similar in both photos, and doesn’t seem likely to be confounding the before and after photos. The only difference I see is the lighting is slightly different (more shadows on the before photo).
    For me, I was searching for an LED mask that can treat hyperpigmentation on my face and upper chest. I’m also interested in treating the fine lines around my eyes. I’ve read that hyperpigmentation (dark spots) are specifically treated by green or yellow led light. And blue light can make hyperpigmentation worse. I’ve heard mixed things about red light, that it may make hyperpigmentation worse, or maybe just at first, but that it may not actually improve it.
    I tried 2 hard masks that came with neck pieces (from Amazon), but I finally decided on a different product, a non-mask led device that also has infrared.
    The hard masks I tried were uncomfortable to wear, pressing against my face no matter what I did, so I finally returned them. Now from your video, I’m also realizing that they didn’t offer infrared either, something I guess I might want after watching your video.
    The device I finally decided on is a flexible led panel that can wrap around the face, neck, arms, basically any body part. It has 3 different colors: red, blue, yellow, plus infrared. The infrared is always on at the same time as each of the other colors. You can even combine any of these 3 colors to make the other colors that many of the masks offer. For example, you can turn red and yellow on together to make orange, and get the benefits of both colors. Eventho I know yellow and blue make green, I’m hesitant to use blue because of my hyperpigmentation.
    The device I decided on is by Hydraskincare: PDT LED Light Photodynamic Facial Skin Care Rejuvenation Photon Therapy Machine.
    It is a flexible LED panel. It is sold on Amazon for $279.
    This device is the most flexible, both literally flexible and soft, and flexible with regards to its uses. Also, it offers yellow led, while many other high-end devices only offer red and blue LED. It also offers infrared, which is on at the same time as the led colors. I think this is a real bonus. Especially when wanting to treat pain and other health conditions.
    Here are the 2 masks I tried but returned. Both are sold on Amazon:
    •HIME SAMA: LED Skin Mask-CE Cleared Pro 7 LED Skin Care Mask for Face and Neck Skin Rejuvenation Light Therapy Facial Care Mask $229.88
    •Project E Beauty: Photon Skin Rejuvenation Face & Neck Mask | Wireless LED Photon Red Blue Green Therapy 7 Color Light Treatment $199

    I can definitely see a change !.... I've done a lot of research on LED masks ... & I'm pleasantly surprised with what I've read up .. I actually purchased my first LED masks almost a month a go .. I've been using it religiously for near on a month . & I see a big change in texture..etc . Very pleased so far .. but may I add , I didn't spend a fortune .. I purchased the same mask that Tjtatorials uses on here . A very small fortune for under £30.00 ..So just goes to prove , you don't have to spend large amounts of money to get the same results... 9 times out of 10 your paying that extra money for the a seller's brand name .

    Hallo Karen , vielen Dank für dein tolles Video. ICH bought both devices. the Current Body Mask and the Care Lamps device. with the Care Lamps device I can see the NIR lights and the Red Lights clearly. With the mask I only see Red lights. Are you sure that the mask is a combination of Red and NIR? In my opinion there are only Red lights on the mask and I think it's way too expensive for that. I will send the mask back and choose Care Lamps.

    Thanks so much for your review. Are you still looking into light therapy for the rest of your body? I remember you bought the panel but some issues came up like it is not very convenient, needed proximity without goggles not possible (for eye area benefit) and also very bright for those you share space with I think you said. I was just wondering if light therapy for non-skincare was still on the table. Thanks so much :)!!

The grooves (sorry can't think of a more flattering word lol) are less noticeable, particularly to the side of your lips. Please can you come back to us in another month or so. Hi Karen glad you pondered over my question. I think a benefit of buying and trying this is, unlike a product I think this would be easier to sell on if you decide your using it, or its not giving the results you want. Have you ever thought about trying an EMS machine for your face? I ask because as we age our faces sag, droop. The EMS is proven to work the muscles benefit, and stop that effect..which in turn makes us more youthful looking - however its no good if you've had botox.. which incidentally your face can still sag from having had botox. This really struck me when attending professional beauty exhibition - as the nurse to the dr at a botox stand although wrinkle free she still looked old in her face.. the face muscles lost tone and no longer held high. I suppose we just can't have it all.

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure why but the end of your comment (and others) has cut off! I would have been interested to read the rest lol. I am hoping to try Nuface soon which I believe is based on EMS. x

    • @TheSaintlydevilish
      @TheSaintlydevilish 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheBeautyMaverick Its probably because I waffled on too much.. Yes the Nuface is an EMS. Years ago I had CACI demonstrated on one side of my face and the muscle lift was impressive. I'm also qualified as a CIBTEC level 3 beautician so tried many different beauty treatments.

    Were the studies conducted by the manufacturer? I purchased a bulb from Red Light Man at the correct wavelength. Didn't read that infrared was particularly good though. Chose a bulb for cost and versatility, as it can be used for hairloss, healing, etc. as well; same technology. Now I'm worried it's possibly weaker, as it's not put directly on, but if the bulb is stronger it might be the same or better. You can position it as you like. I read the masks aren't as strong/correct wavelength. Does skincare/oils affect it? And I try to do 20-30 mins, 3-5 x a week, but I don't think I'm seeing much difference. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thoughts?

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've linked all the studies in the description so you can check the authors but none of them were big conclusive double blind studies, just hopeful evidence. Yes skincare will affect it as in it should be used on clean skin with no skincare. You don't say which device you bought and how long you've used it for so I can't comment, but certainly everyone gets different results. x

      @@TheBeautyMaverick Thanks lovely for the response. I purchased the Red Mini 670 from Red Light Man. Just watched your first LED therapy video and I suppose it's comparable to a smaller care lamp, same methodology. I've used it about 2 months, though inconsistently, and I've also had microneedling, am using tret and other skincare, so I have good and bad skin days and can't really tell what's what. :) How would you compare your two devices for anti-aging?

    • @beedee4427
      @beedee4427 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MagickIsPower I've been using it for 3 months and I've definitely noticed a decrease in pigmentation. However, like I said I use the red for anti-aging and the green for pigmentation. I use every day in conjunction with Tretinoin and various other anti-pigmentation products such as Tranexamic Acid, NIOD Pigmentation serum and Niacinamide (I'm desperate to get rid of my pigmentation). I honestly think if it decreased lines but increased pigment, they wouldn't sell as many as they do. Most women aren't happy to trade one for the other. They want results to be universal. I'm very happy with my device. I used a company called Dermalight in the States. It's a bulkier product but I bought it cos it also has a neck attachment which was important to me. Hope that helps x

    I think it makes sense that the LED works better than any skin care products including retinoids since the light can penetrate deep into the dermis Well you’ll be lucky if retinoids or any skin care productsReached even the most superficial layers of the dermis

In general, I try not to believe too much in reviews on major product websites. I just wanted to put this up for you and maybe we can find out more:
    While human eye damage is much more acute from Ultraviolet (UV) and short-wavelength Blue-light exposure, excessive exposure to Near-Infrared (NIR, ~700nm to 1400nm wavelength) can cause damage to the cornea and the retina.
    MOST ARE AROUND 600 NMN though right?
