He stopped arguments between the ancient brothers and clans to focus their wrath on actual enemies, upon escaping the traitors deception he then upon learning of the death of Primarch Ferrus and his 1st captain Santar he then lead the shattered legions on a crucial Guerilla war against the traitors supply lines... he was so important that Alpharius himself took on the identity to lead the loyalists against his own forces in the Alpha Legion
Shadrak Meduson, an absolute legend of a space marine. Clan Sorrgol never had a better captain. He will never be forgotten. And I can sleep soundly knowing that Tybalt Marr got his, at Saturnine.
Meduson was true champion and hero of the Tenth Legion of the Iron Hands, and he was a absolute scrounge to the traitors during the Horus Heresy that even the Warmaster Horus sought his death by whatever means possible, but even in his death he is remembered as a sign of loyalty and struggle against the foul traitors and vile daemons.
As someone who plays iron hands i always wonder why we only have one character but looking back at the heresy I understand why that is now and fully understanding that it was a true massacre to the fact that majority of the iron hands leaders where killed there or when retreating
I am reading Horus heresy in order and started the Vengeful Spirit. Had no idea who they were talking about in the beginning when mentioning Meduson. This couldn't have come at a better time. Much appreciated.
Stupendously magnificent opening quote. Shadrak shows what Warhammer could be with the grim dark aspect done right. His legion show that there is no glory in war, it only makes weapons out of us, and breaks us appart. The acts of the shattered legions showed nearly the perfection of the emperor's design multiple doctrines fighting together balancing and augmenting each other while covering for their weaknesses. If only such a force could have been brought together under better circumstances and in a more glorious time
Thanks lore master Remembrancer. I have loved the Iron Hands and Shadrak for a while. One of my favorite characters in the whole lore of Warhammer. It would have been awesome if the Iron Hands had found and used the Keys of Hel to help get vengeance for the Gorgon. Those would have been awesome stories. Can you imagine what kind of tech would be in there?
Shadrak let his emotions best him and his ranks compromised by the Alpha Legion. He should have gone with Vulcan and help aid the fight to protect Terra. He would have gotten the fight he wanted.

A reminder that nomatter the victories the Ultramarines managed against the Word Bearers, the losses the Imperial Fists inflicted when defending the palace and the blatant war crimes the dark angels committed when the Night Lords did a little trolling at Thramas, No other man managed to attempt the assassination of 3 primarchs at the same time, let alone nearly succeed.
The king literally says “I don’t need a primarch to win this war” which means he was confident enough to even take a shot at soloing the Warmaster himself

The Xth were shattered a scarred by betrayal. I wish the betrayed one day return as the legion of the damnd and get their Vengeance on those who wronged them. Especially that we're starting to hear the return of fulgrim. It would be appropriate the might see a return of the gorgon as a specter.
Hmmm I liked this story about Meduson. Never was a Iron Hands fan. But if we were to say who was better, that would be Tybalt Marr. Marr wasn't the same after he lost his brother Moy at the Nurgle corrupted Temba. He's was on point when he said, like father like son, he left him alive because of mercy. Ferrus died because his emotions got the better of him, same thing with Meduson, it's an Iron Hand trait. Also Tybalt Marr died at the hands of Loken if I remember correctly, he was shocked to see Loken before being slain.
KARKASY the remembrancer was interesting. Any chance you could monologue characters from the furious abyss book like ANTEGES / CESTUS / MOTEB / SKRAL / BRIMGAR also ZHAR'HARDRIAL from the dark angel scene ?
I wish they had killed ferrus in a different way like have him make a stand to allow corvis and such to escape in an epic last stand instead of getting killed by fulgrim because of chaos hacks.

I've never really been a fan of the iron hands, but you've made this sound so deep and emotional that I have new found respect for them.
