      I actually searched up Buzzfeed wages because the amount they spend everyday is so high and it turns out Buzzfeed employees can earn more than 100k a year. However, some positions also only pay around 30k a year but I'm thinking the people in this video are on the higher end of the scale.

    • @urIIez
      @urIIez 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I searched too! Basically because of this video.
      The average salary is around 70k.
      Maybe like 60k after taxes?
      Point is the average American doesn't even have 5k of emergency money 🤷

      They are using budget wrong. They asked the person what they thought they spent and called that the budget. The budget is what you think you should be spending not what you are spending.
      If he wants to only spend $800-1000 he is in budget but he doesn’t sound like that is what he wants to do

      They probably do get a high-ish salary since they work for Buzzfeed. But my point is that you don't necessarily need a high salary to spend a lot on wasteful things. Plenty of people hover around poverty level and buy electronics, cars, and other things they can barely afford. That's why people get into debt or have very little savings.

    • @RomeoBarnes
      @RomeoBarnes 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Anja it is when buying premade products and not ingredients. Permade stuff is a one time use, but if you buy ingredients you can do multiple things and have multiple dishes thus saving money. If you buy a few bags of apples for example, say 2 dozen total(24) you can make an Apple pie with 6 of them, 6 baked stuffed apples, 3 can be used for stuffing alongside some bread. 3 get chopped up for homemade applesauce. 5 of the remaining six are put into salads or eaten plain as part of your lunch for work during the week. The final one can be made into a candy apple as a treat for yourself. All of the stuff i mentioned stores relatively well with the exception of the candy apple so you’ll be eating these dishes over multiple days. That’s how you save.

    In my country for a 1000$ they could support a family of five, for 3 months! You should have their coworkers with kids, tell them how much they spend, and how much they wish they saved, because that is super over spending money!!

    base on what i know about how young "professionals" are paid, 1000 is like 1/6 to 1/10 of what they earn. By which I mean the jobs that requires a specific kind of skill set like lawyers, engineers, architects something like that, if that guy has a general office job or something really entry level, it's gonna be like 2500 with which you can barely survive in NY. So if they are spending within their financial ability who cares.

    It definitely hurts to know how much it costs cause I have:
    My power bill.
    My heating bill.
    My Xfinity bill.
    My house bill.
    My Netflix bill.
    My Hulu bill.
    My grocery bill.
    My gas bill.
    My insurance bills.
    My car bill.
    My phone bill.
    Life hurts. Save your money.

    I'm really really curious as to how much an ''average'' job pays in LA or in America because here the average income is 35k a year (if you are a registered nurse, teacher, psychologist or paralegal) and if you're a doctor, lawyer, RA accountant or data scientist you'll probably hit that 90k mark eventually after 10 years of working. Basic jobs that don't require a degree would get you 1500-2000 euro a month if you worked full time.But to get paid over 100k would mean you'd be a surgeon, pilot or dentist. I feel like in America you can hit the 100k mark way easier. And i'm talking without Tax cuts so the numbers are even lower.

    • @chs75
      @chs75 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      America's median income is $59,039 annually. The average doctor (GP/Pediatrician) will earn between $204k to $222k. The median average Surgeon salary is $374k, and can go above $1MM.

    • @alleysthoughts
