I purchased some of the foam abrasive to attach it to my Mirka sanding system here in Europe. Size is not perfect match but definitely doable. My only question and problem is that I wanted to use them to sand heavy oil based woodwork and unfortunately the foam is not strong enough, it breaks, crumbles fairly soon and barely smooth the oil based drips on woodwork. This foam abrasive is very smart and useful idea because it picks up any shape, but not strong enough. Can somehow these sponge abrasive improved, more hardwearing? Here in Uk there would be a huge, massive demand for it.

U can get an interface pad for the mirka, I use one on mine and they work great, hope this helps 👍

@@michaelbooth4508 i have them, but they not flexible enough to wrap around old victorian stair spindles or old door architraves, dado rail, to sand every millimetres of it.

@@rnarno yes I agree with u on that one but best option I’ve found so far, hopefully we do get something better in the future 👍

@@michaelbooth4508Indeed! I contacted Mirka, they not planning to do anything like that in near future. I ordered the foam ones from PaintLife and they definitely pick up the shape but unfortunately not hardwearing enough to deal with ugly oil based paintwork. So unfortunate, but let’s hope someone invent something.

Be careful. A transformer doesn’t alter the frequency. It will lessen the life of the motor. And the ‘vibration’ would be different. More of a concern on rotating motors.

How much would it cost to ask the manufacturer to offer 230v for you guys? Would that be a big deal? Or just no market for it ?
