Its funny you mention the smell. I remember noticing that on my XE3 when i bought it new many years ago. It was my first non-Japanese made Fuji. All the Japan models I had before that didnt smell (X100S, X-Pro1, and X-T1). Similarly the X-H1 (Japan) didn’t smell. I would say the X-T4 had a little of the smell, but it wasn’t as bad as the X-E3. Something strange with the Fuji’s made in the Philippines and Thailand.
Thank you so much. But why fujifilm does not offer an external battery charger?? By charging internally, does the camera not overheat to the point of requiring a rest period before use?? Something that can slow down

Evidently a month prior was the time to pre-order it and not a week before. Looking forward to getting mine.
Where did you order it? B and H should have enough. Focus camera sent them several days before they we’re supposed to.

Get a third party one. It won’t overheat while charging though
