Could be possible to have the transcription please? p.s. I don't understand "speaker 4": when explains that he checks everything before his performance. Thank you very much in advance.
@@pamelapiazza9102 so sorry, the transcription isn't available for this test. But this may help you. Speaker 4: "In my first scene I actually go down from the stage to walk amongst the audience and talk to them. It's a great way to start feeling comfortable. One night though I must have been looking at them and not where I was going, I missed a step and stumbled on the way down. It really spoiled my entrance, luckily it's meant to be a comedy . But some of the laughs we get rely entirely on the props on stage. So although stage manager is brilliant at all that I still find myself walking up to have a look prior to curtain up." You may hear :" But some of the laughs we get rely entirely on the props on stage. So although stage manager is brilliant at all that I still find myself walking up to have a look prior to curtain up." In this situation, he has a look (at the props) prior to curtain up = He checks everything is in place.
I would like to know why the answer in question 11 is showers and not bathrooms instead, I think she gives a positive review of both, but firstly with bathrooms.
@@salamamel8328 That was just his first scene, not what he usually does. Notice the speaker said: " in my first scene, I actually go down from the stage to walk among the audience and talk to them.." After that he said: "one night thought, I must have been looking at them and not where I was going.."
Because he does that DURING his performance, in his first scene, not before it. It's a part of the performance, I reckon. He mentions at the end that he checks everything to prevent falling again.
Yep, I made that exact mistake myself. At first I thought it's just stupid, but actually it makes sense. If you pay close attention, he actually says "in my first scene", so he does that DURING his performance.. We were asked to say what he does BEFORE it, he only mentions that later on in his speech, that he checks the place as to avoid falling again, or something like that.
Here are some tips for Part 3 that may help: + Read the question and answers quickly but carefully to focus on what information to listen for + Choose the answer you think is correct when you listen for the first time. Then make your final choice on the second listening. + There will usually be some distraction in a listening task, so do not choose an answer until you have heard everything the speaker says. + Practise reading, listening and making a few notes at the same time + Familiarize yourself with different accents so that you are not always listening to only one type of spoken English + Listening to radio programmes, watching TV programmes in English if you can.
