I was extremely nervous as I'd taken a huge risk by not practicing the Reading and Listening sections, and this was also my first time taking the test. Although I was slacking off earlier I became so confused and BOOM, I got IELTS advantage to my rescue. Prepped in 2 days Got band 9 in listening and reading Speaking 7.5 and writing 7 Overall 8 which was my minimum target but such a low score in the other two is keeping me from being happy :/
I've finally made the decision to attempt to study abroad and, much to my dismay, they require some kind of english proficiency certificate. I do not have such a certificate. My IELTS test is in like 20 days or so. Just started preparing today. I have no teacher to guide me through this. I'm in my final year of high school, so i don't really have a lot of time to dedicate to this either. I'm a self taught english speaker and i only really need band 6 for a bachelor's in the uk from what i've seen? I could really use a few words of encouragement, i'm actually extremely scared. 20 days to pass the IELTS without a teacher. This will either be the crown jewel of my pile of "how tf did you do that" achievements or the worst reality check i will ever receive. I really hope it's the former....

The thing that I noticed watching band 9 speakers is that they answer each question by just repeating it without paraphrasing, like: Q: Do you think you have a healthy diet? A: I don't think I have a healthy diet
But in the main IELTS speaking exam, Examiner don’t support as like you. They ask questions hurryly and don’t provide enough time to candidate’s for answer.

The first test I took was online and the examiner allowed for only like 20 seconds at most before cutting me halfway in the first part of the speaking test. I had never been able to extend further than this time frame and that left me wonder everytime I'm watching speaking videos as I can only see how different my experience is from these videos. Was my experience unusual? The examiner just didn't let me try to finish the answers.

I don't like the way she emphasized some vocabs such as "incorporate" and that's one of the things I learned a lot about learning how to use the word in propper setting, yes the meaning is clear. Still, the setting of the clause she portrayed didn't meet either the passive voice or the tone, sometimes simplicity over-rules complexity with those conditions.
sure no biggie, "I was commenting on how the word 'incorporate' was overused in response to a simple question about routine changes. Instead of directly addressing the question, the reply seemed overly complicated, and repetition didn’t add clarity. Simplicity might have been more effective." and at other instances same thing with other vocabs , it was out of place.However, communication styles can vary, and some people naturally express themselves in more elaborate ways.
As i said multiple occasions,It’s not really about one word or even vocabulary-it’s about the irony of calling something 'Band 9 Perfect' and then defending it so fiercely. A title like that sets expectations high, so when the delivery feels more like Band 6 overthinking than Band 9 clarity, it’s fair game for critique. But hey, if clinging to the crown means brushing off feedback, I guess we all have our styles!

Hey Chris. Hats off to you and your team for your efforts to us. I took my IELTS exam on 7 November with only 15 days of preparation. Although I was slacking off earlier I became so confused and BOOM, I got IELTS advantage to my rescue. I was only a B1 level student 15 days before the test but today I got my results which I never expected. I used your reading, writing and simple speaking techniques, which paid off. I got an overall band 8 (L-8.5, R-8.5, W- 6.5 S-7.5). Thank you so much and wish you Godspeed.

Speaking 7.5 and writing 7
Overall 8 which was my minimum target but such a low score in the other two is keeping me from being happy :/
I've finally made the decision to attempt to study abroad and, much to my dismay, they require some kind of english proficiency certificate.
I do not have such a certificate.
My IELTS test is in like 20 days or so. Just started preparing today. I have no teacher to guide me through this. I'm in my final year of high school, so i don't really have a lot of time to dedicate to this either.
I'm a self taught english speaker and i only really need band 6 for a bachelor's in the uk from what i've seen?
I could really use a few words of encouragement, i'm actually extremely scared. 20 days to pass the IELTS without a teacher. This will either be the crown jewel of my pile of "how tf did you do that" achievements or the worst reality check i will ever receive. I really hope it's the former....

@@kabirsingh7578 I'm confuse for my result. Examiner ask me 14 question in part 1 & 8 question in part 3.
That's why i was nervous on Cue Card & part 3.
But, i clearly gave answer on part 1 and distrac on part 2&3. 😓
The thing that I noticed watching band 9 speakers is that they answer each question by just repeating it without paraphrasing, like:
Q: Do you think you have a healthy diet?
A: I don't think I have a healthy diet
But in the main IELTS speaking exam,
Examiner don’t support as like you.
They ask questions hurryly and don’t provide enough time to candidate’s for answer.

The first test I took was online and the examiner allowed for only like 20 seconds at most before cutting me halfway in the first part of the speaking test. I had never been able to extend further than this time frame and that left me wonder everytime I'm watching speaking videos as I can only see how different my experience is from these videos. Was my experience unusual? The examiner just didn't let me try to finish the answers.

I don't like the way she emphasized some vocabs such as "incorporate" and that's one of the things I learned a lot about learning how to use the word in propper setting, yes the meaning is clear. Still, the setting of the clause she portrayed didn't meet either the passive voice or the tone, sometimes simplicity over-rules complexity with those conditions.

sure no biggie, "I was commenting on how the word 'incorporate' was overused in response to a simple question about routine changes. Instead of directly addressing the question, the reply seemed overly complicated, and repetition didn’t add clarity. Simplicity might have been more effective." and at other instances same thing with other vocabs , it was out of place.However, communication styles can vary, and some people naturally express themselves in more elaborate ways.

As i said multiple occasions,It’s not really about one word or even vocabulary-it’s about the irony of calling something 'Band 9 Perfect' and then defending it so fiercely. A title like that sets expectations high, so when the delivery feels more like Band 6 overthinking than Band 9 clarity, it’s fair game for critique. But hey, if clinging to the crown means brushing off feedback, I guess we all have our styles!

I really do not understand why many immature persons post PRAY FOR ME .This is irritating. If you want just pray for yourself and do not ask others to wish you good luck or PRAY for you.

Well I know you always ready to help people those persons who struggle to achieve desired band score but where I study ielts my teacher teach me examiner focus your confidence, vocabulary idiomatic language etcetera but I believe my self and God as well
