    I've had the A5000 for a week, very glad I bought it, the opinions in this review pretty much match mine. I find it a substantial step up from the A4000. That bass is in my Goldilocks zone, robust but not overpowering.

    Unfortunately It's impossible to find in Europe for the moment. I loved a lot the A4000. Thanks for the review! Can't wait to try them

    Great review, I use these with the new ShanlingX3 Ultra and this really is a great combi. Together for 800 euro they blow away a lot more expensive stuff. I also have Chord Mojo2/Poly with Fir Audio Neon 4. These are clearly better sounding but you could argue about value

    Great review man, liked and subscribed. As an A4000 owner, I was after something that was clinical and neutral, with a good sound stage at around £100 in the UK. The A4000 delivered that for me but with the a5000 are we seeing a similar neutral tuning? Also, how would my A4000s compare with the Truthear Hexa? As I'm keen to keep that neutral, non harman sound but I'm hearing a lot about the Hexa, thanks 😁

      Thanks! It wouldn't be far off to say that the A5000 is the A4000 + bass. It's still a neutral, detailed, and airy signature, but with moments of punctuated low end. The bass boost is narrow and mostly kicks in only when really called for, it's precise and doesn't coat the sound (like the E series does, for example). As for the Hexa: one that I admittedly really need to get around to trying, I'm also hearing a lot about it haha

    centre-mid scoop? Is the ,,scooping,, sign of the Japanese footprint or what? My audiotechnica m60x has also some scoop in the area of the lower mids lol 😀

    Any clue if they sell the cable for older models. Looks better than the one with the A4000 where I never found a replacement cable.

    How does the A5000 compare with the A8000 in instrument seperation and detail retrieval? Is the A8000 much better or is the difference slight?

    Great review! How does it compare to the e5000? Based on the description it seems like there's alot overlap

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The A5000 has a newly found low end for the A series, but these are still quite different from the E5000. The E5000 has a more broadly boosted low end that brings high bass and low mids up as well, and stays modest in the treble - it's warm and fuzzy. The A5000 has a sizeable but more narrow bass boost that sticks to its subs and mid bass and leaves the high bass and low mids mostly untouched, and a good amount of emphasis in its high mids and treble. This makes makes the A5000's overall timbre crisp and airy with punctuated moments of bass that you'll primarily hear on kick drums and basses.
      TLDR: E5000 is persistently warm and bassy throughout its balance, A5000 is airy like the rest of the A series with moments of low end emphasis.

    I wish they made a metal version of the A3000/4000/5000 I abuse my iems in the 50-$400 range, as a daily beater, and metal IEMs have always lasted way longer for me.

    • @drewmorg.
      @drewmorg. ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unless you are literally cracking the shell on your iEM I don't see how metal would have any impact. In fact i would say heavier shells cause more damage to the internals when dropped.

    • @ubacow7109
      @ubacow7109 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drewmorg. Ive litteraly ran over my iems w/ my car accidetnly then driving and they fell out, metal ones will survive, plastic ones will get squished. I always have a pair of beaters that i abuse heavily outside of $1000+ iems and headphones. The ones that lasted the longest for me were the Tin T4's which i accidentally washed about 4 times in the washer/dryer & ran over w/ my car & scuffed heavily on concrete dragging down the street a few blocks. Metal is essential for its strangth and wear characteristics.

    How do they compare with a4000 in sound apart from obvious better built & cable

    • @arthurhaywood2184
      @arthurhaywood2184 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have both. Build is pretty much the same with better cable. As far as sound goes, better bass, treble is scaled back just a touch with better technicals and better soundstage. Nothing dramatic in respect to the changes but it is better.

    • @PRANAVSINGHGPLUS
      @PRANAVSINGHGPLUS ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arthurhaywood2184 it is actually astounding how same/similar driver is tuned much better in similar hardware. I know metal casing & better wire contributes but not that much. Companies definitely charging premium for tuning research.

    • @arthurhaywood2184
      @arthurhaywood2184 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@PRANAVSINGHGPLUS The casing for the A5000 is not metal. It’s described as an ABS Resin material. The casing for the A4000 is described as ABS Thermoplastic. There is also a weight difference. 28 g for the A5000 & 18 g for the A4000. I suspect that it’s a combo of things that attribute to the sonic differences. I obviously can’t tell if there are any changes internally between the two.

  • @mirzarazwan07
    @mirzarazwan07 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Hope you are well.... hope you will give me a valuable info cuz I'm looking forward to this final audio A5000 . I'm still finding my IEM balance sound signature with good soundstage (like out of head in terms of width and hight) as well as rich male vocal performance under $300. will you suggest me go for this or something??

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah well the A5000 has you for soundstage, but male vocals were like my one and only minor criticism for it lol - center mids are a little scooped and male vocals can sound just *a little* on the thin side. Do you like dark sound signatures? - like heavy on bass, warm, and lighter on the treble? Because "rich" male vocals with a good soundstage makes me think of the Final Audio E5000.

      @MajorHiFi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mirzarazwan07 Ah well neutral bright brings you back to the A5000 haha. Honestly I say go for it - my criticism of male vocals was really a minor nitpicky reviewer thing rather than a stand out issue. But whatever you go with, best of luck with your decision.

    This IEM or final e5000? I like sound to be natural with full texture bass

    • @MajorHiFi
      @MajorHiFi  ปีที่แล้ว

      A5000 is closer to natural, and has some solid mid and sub bass without coating the sound. The E5000 is bassier but less natural, more warm and fuzzy. My preference is with the A5000, the E5000 is still great but it's more for people who like darker signatures. Also, if you're considering this one, buying it through the link in the description will help support the channel ; ]
