Back in the 90's I lived in Orlando & took lessons at Leadbetter Academy Lake Nona with Faldo there once but he was off limits to us. One of my instructors hated him but I was so inspired to watch him hit balls, just perfect swing & tempo.
This was amazing. I was mesmerized with the detailed description of his thoughts and feelings. One can only imagine what it would be like to be a masters champion. We’ve all imagined it, so few achieve it. Great interview.
I loved this. Nick Faldo seemed as in awe of the Masters experience as I would have been. This was so cool to listen to. All the names. Very very enjoyable. Very very fun to hear one of the all time greats say he had to pinch himself
Great interview BTW!!!!...would definetly look over the pointing out of people when Nick says where everyone's sitting, Adam Scott got pointed when he says Trevor, and Nick probably meant Tom Watson not Bubba, when talking about who sits next to Jack too:).
BOYZ! Excellent work with a Legend. Sir Nick Faldo. The stuff of dreams for you two. One thing I must point out. You highlighted Ian Woosnam as Fuzzy Zoeller. Fuzzy is two players to the left. #JustSaying
Great video guys. I’m a huge fan of Sir Nick. Glad you guys made a video about the Masters, all the stuff that happens behind the scenes, it is simply amazing.
Love listening to Nick, what a player, got to be in the top 3 best ever UK players, greatest for me in modern golf, even though i grew up a Sandy Lyle fan, but Nick was so scientific at his game, not the longest but a master of course management and a genius at the big moments.
Under the club rules if you ask to be a member you can't get in. It's invitation only. That question "do you want to be a member" put Sir Nick in an awkward position. He can't say yes and he can't say no.
That’s absolutely hilarious that if you win the Masters and you are then a Masters Champion that you don’t gain membership and if you want to play any other time you need to play with a member haha classic
I like Nick...he's very English. I played with him in a long driving comp in 1980 at Stoke Poges. Bernard Langer beat him by 1 yard. 306-305. Wooden drivers back then.
When you win The Masters, or any of the Golf Majors, the financial rewards are incredible. Everyone in Golf want your name and profile to endorse their latest product. The prize money is only the start of the financial rewards. Sir Nick Faldo won it an incredible three times, and alongside the great Jack Golden Bear Nicholas, he won back to back titles.
"Erm Hello Mr Woods, have you booked a Tee Time? good ok, and do you have a Membership? oh you dont! I am sorry but unless you can find a member to play with you cant go out today! Hahahaha
Well you go to some cabin and there is a Butler there. Then the Head of the Club interviews you along with Jim Nance ,who is wearing a Navy jacket and then the previous winner puts a jacket selected from a rack that is a close fit, you shake hands and Jim Nance says goodnight. You then get to keep the jacket for a year and then after that it stays at the club and you can only wear it during the tournament.
In my mind the Masters and Open are co-equal as the 2 most prestigious tournaments in golf. The other two majors are too much like each other and don't have the traditions.
I live about an hour and a half away from there and the closest I got to seeing it Was threw a hole cut in the fence. Lol. Also my dad goes to church with Bobby Jones’s grand son and he ain’t even allowed to go play, which is pretty crazy
I have played golf with one of the two Head Professionals at Augusta at my course. People ask me did you ask to play Augusta. My response is if you ask you will never play it. 😁

This episode was so great. I can listen to Sir Nick talk about golf all day long and never get tired.
Absolutely agree. Have a look at the Rick v Sir Nick match, he's still an amazing player and his banter is first class.
Nick has gotten more interesting and mellow with age. Good to see!
He's been like that once he wasn't competitive anymore. I started golf in 2000 and Nick acted like that even back then.
Most people do.
Back in the 90's I lived in Orlando & took lessons at Leadbetter Academy Lake Nona with Faldo there once but he was off limits to us. One of my instructors hated him but I was so inspired to watch him hit balls, just perfect swing & tempo.
He’s always been interesting, just hated the British press. Justifiably so. They hated him fir his success.
@@robtudor3785 he was a shocking Ryder cup captain. And also questionable character regards his personal life. Fair game. But a great golfer 🏌️♂️
This was amazing. I was mesmerized with the detailed description of his thoughts and feelings. One can only imagine what it would be like to be a masters champion. We’ve all imagined it, so few achieve it. Great interview.
Never understand how people dislike sir Nick...... such a decent bloke who can tell excellent golf tales!!
1996 Masters is the one that really got me into golf. Nick Faldo is and always will be a legend of the game!
I could listen to Masters talk for hours
Great episode - but, when Nick Faldo was describing where everyone sits, the arrow for Fuzzy Zoeller pointed to Ian Woosnam!! LOL
I loved this. Nick Faldo seemed as in awe of the Masters experience as I would have been. This was so cool to listen to. All the names. Very very enjoyable. Very very fun to hear one of the all time greats say he had to pinch himself
This was brilliant! It’s a skill to get someone so relaxed and what a legend Nick is could listen to him for a lot longer. Great stuff lads 😀
Loved the episode. Sir Nick one of my favorite golfers ever. This conversation with him was great for fans.
I can remember Seve doing BBC interview and he took his home with him!
Could listen to Sir Nick talking gold all day, thanks Rick
Great interview BTW!!!!...would definetly look over the pointing out of people when Nick says where everyone's sitting, Adam Scott got pointed when he says Trevor, and Nick probably meant Tom Watson not Bubba, when talking about who sits next to Jack too:).
As a teenage golfer I use to idolise Sir Nick. I was so happy to play and compete in his Faldo junior series. Happy memories. Thank you Sir Nick 🤩
Brilliant! Sir Nick was the reason I first picked up a club too.
Jack Nicklaus and John Morris are both members of Augusta National. Arnold Palmer was a member until his passing in 2016.
Hey Rick & Guy, you’re interview skills are on point. This was an awesome little insight to Masters champions!
Man so cool remember watch Nick as kid when you got full coverage of quite a few comps on the beeb good old days such a dude
You looked like you were legit geeking out for the whole bit here Rick. Great clip!
You need hours to interview him. Great sense of humour.
Classic! I love how he hears Gary's Ben Hogan stories over and over at the Masters dinner. A rare privilege.
What an interesting and enjoyable interview, Rick, you must go to his farm/ranch and hit some of his winning clubs!!
Listened to the episode at work today. Was a superb episode and this stuff about Augusta was epic.
BOYZ! Excellent work with a Legend. Sir Nick Faldo. The stuff of dreams for you two. One thing I must point out. You highlighted Ian Woosnam as Fuzzy Zoeller. Fuzzy is two players to the left. #JustSaying
They also highlighted Adam Scott not Trevor Immelmann
@@anthonyamundson4102 Curses! Those video editors! 🤣 We still love you Rick and Guy. 🥂
So good I watched it twice. What a great insight into Augusta.
Rick's sidekick / producer has seems like he has a pretty sweet gig.
Totally loved that little snippet 👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great episode - loved it! @ 5:13 I think Faldo was referring to Tom Watson, not Bubba. Cheers!
Great video guys. I’m a huge fan of Sir Nick. Glad you guys made a video about the Masters, all the stuff that happens behind the scenes, it is simply amazing.

5:32 LOL, pointing to Adam Scott instead of Trevor Immelman.
Excellent incite w/Sir Nick on what access they do or don't have as winners at Augusta National Golf Club.
Need to get some collar mikes. Great to hear Nick talk about the show behind the curtains.
Great episode Rick! Really enjoyable the way Nick was so comfortable, would love to sit down with you boys and enjoy a pint and listen to the stories.
Super interesting hearing about the Masters traditions. Love listening to Sir Nick, class act. Nice work!
Don't worry about it Sir Nick. As the great Groucho Marx said; "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member" 😂
Arrow for Fuzzy Zoeller was pointing at Ian Woosnam and arrow for Trevor Immelman at Adam Scott!!!
Betting that when Faldo was referring to “Watson”, it was Tom, not Bubba.
Yep, and not the only wrong arrow LOL Adam Scott and Trevor Immelmann also mixed up.
But thanks anyway Rick! Good talk.
Yep, my thoughts too. He was probably thinking "TOM Watson, you bollix, not that that fucking Bubba"
100% lol
Also arrow pointed at Ian woosnam when he said Fuzzy Zoeller
Can you imagine being the guy at Agusta who has to tell Nick Faldo he can't go play a round because he's not with a member 🤣🤣🤣
Great little interview! Was a big Faldo fan growing up.
Under the club rules if you ask to be a member you can't get in. It's invitation only. That question "do you want to be a member" put Sir Nick in an awkward position. He can't say yes and he can't say no.
Wonderful interview! Great stuff Rick
Very cool interview!
Best bit of podcast yet
Great stories from Nick
Lovely insight to what happens with the jackets..
Great video. Where were they sitting? Looks like a links somewhere.
Hated Nick when he beat Greg Norman in '96. But now I love him. Great golf commentator.
That’s absolutely hilarious that if you win the Masters and you are then a Masters Champion that you don’t gain membership and if you want to play any other time you need to play with a member haha classic
Faldo carried golf single-handedly for quite some time absolute Legend
So nice the other guy is the third wheel just holding a mic not being able to say anything without Rick interrupting him.
Great questions in this video and some revealing answers from Sir Nick
Fuzzy looks very like Woosnam 😉
Could have listened to that all day
Nick was right. Jack and Arnie are the only winners who are/were members at ANGC.
Dude cool as hell
Wow what a class guy. Seems very humble for his status 😎
Gotta love Faldo.
"gravy...curry sauce.."...'ahhhh not quite"
Don't comment often but this was FN incredible. Great job Rick
Think Sir Nick was referring to Tom as opposed to Bubba Watson. 👍🏻
The Masters, a tournament like no other. Look into it.
Nick was referring to Tom Watson, not Bubba. I'd bet my life on it.
And apparently Adam Scott is Trevor Immelman now... Whoever was in charge of these arrows is in need of a long talking to.
The same with pointing to Ian woosnam for fuzzy.
I like Nick...he's very English.
I played with him in a long driving comp in 1980 at Stoke Poges.
Bernard Langer beat him by 1 yard. 306-305. Wooden drivers back then.
Miss Sir Nick in the tv booth

Sir Nick Faldo won it an incredible three times, and alongside the great Jack Golden Bear Nicholas, he won back to back titles.
7:30 well, that week before playing for some players having a “quiet” round got blown out of the water this year.
that arrow use in the pic is pointing at Ian Woosnam,, i think Fuzzy is two to the left..
Highlighting Bubba in the photo, but think he was referring to Tom.
Nice insight to all the past champions benefits.
Jack Nicklaus is, and Arnold Palmer was a member of Agusta
@5:23 Thats not Fuzzy Zoeler, thats Ian Woosnam.
They did not point to Bubba Watson instead of Tom Watson 😭😭😭
Mis-marked Trevor Immelmann lol 😆 Trevor is on the far left. The arrow was pointing to Adam Scott.
"Erm Hello Mr Woods, have you booked a Tee Time? good ok, and do you have a Membership? oh you dont! I am sorry but unless you can find a member to play with you cant go out today! Hahahaha
If I could only have access to that dinner one time. Can you imagine all the great stories. Wow!!!!!
I don’t know who the guy on the left is but he looks like he ate 10 marijuana brownies and is just sitting there frozen in fear 😂
5.13: I think he was referring to Tom Watson, not Bubba lol
If you win 3, you shouldn't be sharing a locker anymore.
Even if you won 6, you share a locker; but it seems at 6 you are granted full membership.
Is it just me or when the arrow should point to Fuzzy Zoeller it actually points to Ian Woosnam??…
Another great video/interview
Ask the Agusta National administrative members to change the style of the green jacket and you'll be shown the door, ha-ha-ha. 😂
Is that saunton golf club by any chance?
Great interview I am so surprised that he only played for 6mo and got so good
How could you not know which guy is Fuzzy? Fix that arrow error please
Well you go to some cabin and there is a Butler there. I did not realize Harrison Ford played golf
The thumbnail photo shows two pics of him in ‘96, but not one from ‘89.
In my mind the Masters and Open are co-equal as the 2 most prestigious tournaments in golf. The other two majors are too much like each other and don't have the traditions.
Jack is a regular member.
I can’t believe you win the masters and you still have to play with a member to get on the course
I think when he said "Watson", he probably meant Tom 😄
Why's the Fuzzy Zoeller arrow pointing at Woosie, and the Trevor arrow pointing at Adam?! ;)
100% Class Act
I live about an hour and a half away from there and the closest I got to seeing it Was threw a hole cut in the fence. Lol. Also my dad goes to church with Bobby Jones’s grand son and he ain’t even allowed to go play, which is pretty crazy
First, *through. But that is crazy about Jones' grandson. The exclusivity of this place is greater than most of us could imagine.
not surprising tiger woods applied to be a member and got rejected. my uncle got to play augusta national with my grandfather so jealous
"just drop your wallet' lol
I have played golf with one of the two Head Professionals at Augusta at my course. People ask me did you ask to play Augusta. My response is if you ask you will never play it. 😁
Mushy peas… that’s a new one
Could listen to faldo all day, my sporting idol
What's not to love about Faldo?
That’s insane, win a jacket at Augusta national 3 times. Still have to find a member to play there with
Tiger even has to do the same. Think about that
