Loved this, will have to give it a try. Steve was the best; so thrilled that She-She and Jen-Jen are carrying on his traditions. Love to you all from Oregon.
You can also type in shotgunred1000 and see Steve out fishing or in his garden etc... telling all kinds of stories. You can on this channel and watch the history of Shotgun Red.
I've came back to this many times and was interested because it's different. Tonight I finally made it exactly as written but added about 4 slices of cooked bacon in with the baked beans, it was delicious! We'll be having this quite often, Thank You, Sir, for your Dad's wonderful dish!!!
Since I had everything in my pantry and had started defrosting some pork chops yesterday, and I was hungry, I decided to make this tonight. I didn't have any Lawry's seasoned salt, so I made up my own seasoning with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, steak seasoning and a bit of Adolph's meat tenderizer. It's in the oven now, so I should be able to try it in about 40 minutes. I'm sure glad that you ladies are still keeping up the good work that Steve started. I can't tell you how many times I have watched one of the videos and decided to make it right on the spot. Best wishes!
Fantastic!! Now we know why so many on here copy Cooking with Shotgun Red / Steve had a way of making everything look simple.. I would make something like this but used a can of Cream of Potato with the stuffing.. I'll be doing the beans next.... Like Steve I made my own rye bread crumbs for the city chicken.. I had a lot extra crumbs, so I did two breaded pork chops browned in a pan and then baked 40 min... Gott'a love Steve and his cooking tricks. So many great posts..
I made this today and I approve most heartily! The stuffing ties the whole thing together beautifully! (I only wish there was a half box of stuffing that I could have added. Two would have been too much, but one...I just want more!) Wiping up that juice with the stuffing was the best part (actually, EATING the stuffing soaked with that juice, but “who’s counting”?)!
Thank you Judy for subscribing!!! We appreciate you being here!!! Sad to say Steve passed away December 2018. When he passed he had made 307 video's for this channel.
i've watched this video for the 5th time now and i've got all the ingredients and i'm gonna make it tomorrow for some of my friends who live next door. i'll let ya know how it turns out. keep cooking sheila and jennifer!!!!
I have another recipe for you ,it's my aunt Julian's from Cudahy, wisc.she made a meatloaf with stovetop in the the rest of the hamburger, baked it about 30 or 40 minutes, then pored golden mushroom soup over the top of it 😀 it was so good! Her meatloaf recipe was 2 lbs.hamburger,2 eggs, bread crumbs, she never measured, then l
I got to get one of those vacuum pack things that he’s always use it Yep that’s a great system to store your food that’s for sure and that was an awesome recipe I thank you for this show it’s sad that Steve is gone now !! Sending prayers to his family and Miss Sheila
Is that a Lodge skillet? I've got a 12" Lodge skillet, which I use for everything. My range has a "dual" burner, which is small(9") and large (12") which my 12" skillet fits. I turn on the small burner for small things and the large burner for large things. That Lodge skillet does EVERYTHING! I bought one of Lodge's 12" cast iron lids so I can use it as a brazier, or a dutch oven, or whatever my little imagination comes up with. Yeah, well, back to your show. I want to see what you do to these beautiful pork chops. Yumm!
@@CookingwithShotgunRed Watching those fish tacos today I was drooling...They are my most favorite, love the idea of cabbage (love) instead of lettuce, gives it a better flavor I'm sure. Love watching your recipes with you and Sheila...keep 'em coming. For us New England folks
OMG...I LO❤VE Bone In Pork Chops !!! Wonderful Recipe. I'll use Bush Beans this time, then next time use Ranch Style Chili Beans. That's a good color on them Chops. 10:0910:36
I think four pork chops would have been enough. But maybe you need six because of the large can of beans. I'm cooking for one so I'll have to figure out what to do.

Thanks Mark for coming on board!
