Start them on the stovetop with alittle butter and oil for browning turning one time. Then pop in the oven to finish. Last time I served with milk gravy from pan drippings over rice.
Haven’t made them in forever, but I would have used the stove top. My dad and my father-in-law both loved tons of pepper on all of their food, as well.
I don't allow my Michael in the kitchen! 😆 . I use chicken broth in lots of things. What I don't use chicken broth in , usually gets bacon drippings from my jar on the back of the stove 😉. God bless y'all
I season my chops with s&p, coat in seasoned flour, fry til done. Then I cut them up in bite-size pieces and add them to Bird's Eye stir-fry veggies with the sauce packets, let it simmer for about 20 minutes or so, and serve over rice...yummmm, one of our favorite meals 😊💜
This is how I make porkchops also, but I brine my pork chops first and they come out very tender. Ms Paula Knor makes a pork bouillon cubes, so check your grocery stores or buy it online. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
I was surprised by this- my grandmother was from Arkansas. In her kitchen, "smothered" meant simmered in gravy/sauce. I brown my chops (I actually prefer thinner pork steaks, the fat distribution is perfect) make a gravy/pan sauce from the drippings then cover and simmer them in that sauce OR slow cook them in the oven for 45-60 minutes. They come out tender and succulent and the gravy is slap-your-momma DELICIOUS. Totally agree that rice is the perfect companion.
Had porkchops thawing overnight and this came up this AM! Now I've seasoned them and mixed up flour and thyme. Bell pepper and onions are ready! Will use bacon grease to brown the chops! Thanks Paula!!!
You are one in a million Mrs. Deen. I think you're one of the most beautiful and intelligent women of all time.. You are Simply the best. Sending you nothing but love....
Hi Paula, that looks Amazing! I love pork chops too. I think the Better Than Bouillon line has a pork one, I could be wrong. Paula do you have a recipe for Pork Chops on the grill? Thanks and love you.❤️
Am I ever glad to hear from you. Charity S. and I were ready to send out a search party. According to your comment I assume condolences are in order, to which I sincerely extend. It would really be a toss up between breaded and fried or grilled. I know they are totally different but I like them equally well.
Thank you all very much, ladies. I appreciate all of your concern, expression, and good wishes!! Happy to be back home and with Sweet pea too! 🐾 Lol. Pork chops and applesauce...The Brady Bunch classic. Seems to remind me every time I hear the words, -- Pork chops!!!
Looks delicious Mrs. Paula. I make this but I've never added bell peppers. Restoring a #12 BSR skillet and this will be the first thing I cook in it with the peppers. Yummy😋
You can also add a can of cream of mushroom soup to the broth and use it for gravy. Yum. Also, you can put that over sliced and fried potatoes that you used the same skillet for.
Did I miss something?? She said she was going to coat the chops in flour, dredge in buttermilk, then a panko flour mix, brown on the stove then finish off in the air fryer. Maybe this was a “do as I say, not as I do” recipe.
I used to make smothered pork chops for my husband and I would make a thick gravy and serve it over rice. That was one of his favorite meals that I made. I didn't make it like you Paula with the peppers though. That does look so good and I will definitely try it next time.
I used to take the pork chop ..dip in seasoned flour...then dip in liquid ..your choice...then in cracker crumbs...let sit for a while.put oil in skillet..fry med heat turn ..when brown..lower heat...cook slow..till done.watch close as the breading . will burn easilythese are very good
funny I raised my hand as if you can see me lol. that is so delishes. I laughed when Micheal said bout the broth and I wondered about that lol. I really need to try this. that sure is a beautiful cutting board how thoughtful of the person who made it for you. take care all you guys and be safe
I prefer to use center-cut pork chops, they have more fat and more juicy. I also prefer more slurry. I have never used bell pepper but I will be trying that next time.. Looks delicious
Before I forget Theresa, thanks for saying '2 bell peppers' (on the pork video), because I thought they were snap peas. when I first saw Paula adding the onions.
Paula I noticed your stand for your measuring spoons. It is so beautiful. Do you see those? Or would you consider having them made for sale? Would love to buy the beautiful holder, they are so perfect. Thanks. Donna
The grocery stores now stock a "Better Than Bouillon" Seasoned Ham flavor that makes a very yummy and flavorful "pork broth" for pork dishes and soups as well...
Paula they make pork broth. You can buy it at whole foods or where I work at Sprouts Farmers Market. I don't know if there is one in Georgia but u can get it online my love.
Evaporated milk and mix them together and then pour them and then pour it over the pork chops and finish bacon in the oven and the gravy that comes from that is good for rice or mashed potatoes or
🐷 I’m fix’n this right now; added a bit of thinly sliced cabbage and 2 small stalks of celery as well to mine; didn’t have chicken broth so I decided to try beef broth; also precooked a cup of jasmine rice using the beef broth and a sprinkle of Mrs Dash seasoning along with my fair share of yummy butter. 😋
Omg! I found u!!! Its been a while, u’ve been missed in my house. We love u, and think the Food Network should have backed u up… u told the truth, but the whole thing was ridiculous. U look beautiful too, good luck to u and ur family…. So much love being sent ur way!!!! ❤️
She was discussing another recipe as to how she prepares them when she uses her air fryer. Sometimes she's hard to follow when she jumps from thought to thought.
How do y'all normally cook your pork chops-on the stovetop, in the oven, or in the air fryer?
Start them on the stovetop with alittle butter and oil for browning turning one time. Then pop in the oven to finish. Last time I served with milk gravy from pan drippings over rice.
In the oven.
Haven’t made them in forever, but I would have used the stove top. My dad and my father-in-law both loved tons of pepper on all of their food, as well.
Pan fry coated in flour, air fryer with parmesan cheese and mayo and cayenne coating, or barbeque grill them. We love pork chops. Love and best dishes
I cook mine on top of the stove, floured and fried, fried crispy. I’m all old school. Then I make gravy in the skillet I fried my chops in. Yummy.
I don't allow my Michael in the kitchen! 😆 . I use chicken broth in lots of things. What I don't use chicken broth in , usually gets bacon drippings from my jar on the back of the stove 😉. God bless y'all

That cutting board is beautiful!! Hope you, Michael, Eddie and Teresa all have a great week! God bless!

I make them like this ever since you showed us this recipe, about a year or two ago!! Sooo good.
Had porkchops thawing overnight and this came up this AM!
Now I've seasoned them and mixed up flour and thyme. Bell pepper and onions are ready! Will use bacon grease to brown the chops!
Thanks Paula!!!

Back from PA, was an unplanned, sad visit. Happy to be back home.

Hello
Better Than Bouillon® Ham Base Knorr Pork Bouillon Cubes
Hello there
Knorr, makes a great pork bouillon which I use as a pork broth. It would be great, in this recipe.
Did I miss something?? She said she was going to coat the chops in flour, dredge in buttermilk, then a panko flour mix, brown on the stove then finish off in the air fryer. Maybe this was a “do as I say, not as I do” recipe.

You were taught wrong

How many times do you have to turn a pork chop?
Use veggie broth instead of chicken and they do sell pork broth paste.
Pork chops in the oven for me
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, just not as common
Hello there
I fry them! Love fried pork chops, nothing like it. Anything fried has to be good right?
No
Before I forget Theresa, thanks for saying '2 bell peppers' (on the pork video), because I thought they were snap peas. when I first saw Paula adding the onions.
Im allergic to pork but You sure make everything look so delicious. Love seeing all Your shows😍
Paula I noticed your stand for your measuring spoons. It is so beautiful. Do you see those? Or would you consider having them made for sale? Would love to buy the beautiful holder, they are so perfect. Thanks. Donna
Don't contaminate the salt after you touch raw pork.
It’s her kitchen. You weren’t invited for dinner so mind your business.
Did I miss the buttermilk?
Pork is not what it use to be up here in the north. Lean and tough. Have to get one on a farm I guess.
The grocery stores now stock a "Better Than Bouillon" Seasoned Ham flavor that makes a very yummy and flavorful "pork broth" for
pork dishes and soups as well...
I agree with Michael no raw green bell peppers but I do like raw red bells ❤
Yummy 😋 omg 👍🏾I'm so hungry now 😆🤣
Got to say it. Salt and pepper shakers are more sanitary.

She was discussing a different recipe when she mentioned butter milk
Put her back on TV network. I don't watch it anymore, no one compare's to her!!!!🥀🥀🥀🥀....2022.
what happened to the panko, buttermilk and air fryer?
You are a joy to watch
OK Paula... First you said you "dip the chops in Buttermilk then dredge in flour".... You didn't put those chops in Buttermilk!
She was discussing another recipe as to how she prepares them when she uses her air fryer. Sometimes she's hard to follow when she jumps from thought to thought.
@@stacey5925 Well I can certainly relate to that! Thank you for explaining. 🌷
