Bright colors and cutesy things probably. For most people does spawn happy feelings. Of course there is Yami Kawaii which...may not for most people. Some pieces can pass as normal Kawaii/Harajuku fashion at a distance, and then there are pieces that are CLEARLY Yami-Kawaii. The channel Refinery29 (I think that’s the number - otherwise just search “refinery yami kawaii”, and you’ll find about a 15 minute video all about it. But the channel also has a few other videos focusing on more traditional, or perhaps “mainstream” is a better term, that would pop into most people’s minds when thinking of kawaii and Harajuku. There are actually a crazy amount of different styles of fashion in that district and a few others in the immediate vicinity.

The modern world is becoming really diverse as many cultural trends are getting adopted mainly i never thought westerners would get attracted to this type of harajuku-fashion nonetheless amazing report barcroft.
I used to dress like this in middle school then I got bullied. I wish I had this kind of support then. I changed my style to be moderate because I live in a conservative state. Regardless I couldn't dress like this because I have a job.

I wear them to anime conventions and raves in full flare but I've learned to wear my "harajuku"/anime/eclectic pieces subtly amongst normal clothes too so I don't turn heads everywhere I go. Like a have a Wall Rose ring from Shingeki no Kyojin.

I have suffered from depression and anxiety my whole life. Over the years, I've experimented with different therapies and remedies to fight my condition. Of all the things I've tried, nothing has fought by my mental illness as strongly as the kawaii community. I love kawaii fashion and cult because it's make of pure positive and can transform anything negative into a positive. I have so much love for this subculture.
I love J-fashion and have been wearing it since I was in 5th grade and I’m currently going into 10th! But my style is very different than the traditional harajuku and kawaii fashion. I like to wear cute pastel 80’s and 90’s inspired clothing and wearing it makes me so happy and I couldn’t feel more confident in it!
Seeing stuff like this makes me wanna add stuff to my wardrobe but I don’t have the money to do it and I probably wouldn’t look good in a lot of these clothes😭
She IS getting prepared to meet a whole group of new people, as well as being filmed for this video. And it depends how long she’s been consistently wearing this, especially in public.
