Thanks! I was able to do this without removing the actuator from the car, which was wonderful. I used a hook to grab the lever and pull it toward the front of the car while I used a screwdriver to push the dieselgeek part from left to right into place. It’s a T30 screw. Loosen the part on the mount to let it swing to the left when installing at first. I lost the spring but I called Dieselgeek which told me the spring doesn’t do anything so I left it out.
Hi, great video, was really sweating taking out the entire module. Was able to wedge up that linkage part with a couple of screwdrivers and with the use of a tie wrap as a third hand, was able to get the job done only taking out the one bolt.
so far, yours is the only vid showing this fix without taking out the whole motor. I think I have the re-tooled version of the bracket(just purchased this year), but dangit if this doesn't appeal to me. gonna try it your way, see how it goes. thanks for the video!
Currently waiting on this part to arrive as my Jetta just threw this code after the last winter storm and due to financial issues due to recently having 2nd child I am truly hoping this will fix the issue as I cant afford anything else. Will have to come back in one weeks time to give an update
How did you get it to move up more towards the front I tried turning my car on and it didn't move I can't get my ratchet in to unscrew the last bolt to take the whole thing out and I can't move the lever to fit the part in.
Just installed on my audi 2011 a3, the check engine light was on and off, then got stuck on, once installed the check engine light is still on, will give it a little but if time but should the check engine light go off immediately once installed or?
I have a 2011 a3, it is still under dieselgate warranty. And I have p2015, not sure if I should do this fix or drop it at dealer for a few weeks to get oe fix.

Yeah, took me about 30 minutes. Good luck.
Will this work on a 2013 Jetta TDI w/DSG?
Did it fixed the problem?

I never took the actuator out, I had a big selection of extensions and bits to choose from.
After making the installation did you notice your acceleration pedal being more stiff?
No, pedal feels the same as before.

I think I cleared it with a code reader and it never cane back.
@@kmac9759 does a fix finder at autozone work?
@@MileHighMinute not sure, i would imagine it would. I used a cheapie off anazon.

Did this fix your check engine light? Did it stay off
Yes. Sold the car a few months ago and was still working great.
@@kmac9759 oh ok thank you
I got this part off Amazon for $8 and it fixed it. Diesel geeks needs to work on their pricing. $64 for a tiny piece of aluminum. Lol
Do you have a link to it?
@@ramcoronalet me know if you got a link too
Just installed this myself. Did your light go off immediately, over time, or did you reset it?
Mine was off when i installed it. But it was on and off.
