@@billybob4794 That's what's beautiful about their sound! Minimalist, yet robust! I did not agree that adding more layers of guitars would improve this band. Pete is doing just fine by himself. And "deserve" doesn't make sense, because it's their deliberate choice not to mess with this. Obviously they are financially capable of adding tons of extra guitars/guitar players like Korn has done to sound big and polished, but that's not Chevelle.

@UTF Drumming Alright captain high-horse I get what you're saying but the cuts in between songs are pretty big and leave out the intros/outros and main chunks of some songs. Also, why should I be thankful this exists when I could go to another video with near the same set-list with better editing? Better yet, I could just go out to see them live when they're on tour again. Main reason I'm here was to A. Provide time stamps. (With the weirdly timed cuts that made things a little tricky) and B. Find a set-list where they play "An Evening With El Diablo." So just in case your response is "sO WhAt ArE yOu DoInG HeRe iF YoU DoN't lIkE iT?" you'll have two answers.
Very rare to find a Chevelle song I don't like. This band is definitely one of my all time favorites. Thanks for posting this. I saw them in Fresno back in 2012 and wished I could have seen them again in California. I love how they open with "Another Know it All" too. Very cool. And, I like their playset all around, very cool.
I love how they opened and extended/improvised a little on Another Know It All. It's good to see it played live considering most fans don't talk about that track much.
I can't believe the crowd isn't just ripping the floor apart. Most people are just standing around. I'm going to see them here in Dallas with Breaking Benjamin in Sept and i can tell you one thing for sure.... The crowd here will be on fire for that show. While i like breaking Benjamin, I'm really looking forward to seeing chevelle more than anyone else. They are so much better. Their writing style is unbelievable. Can't wait. But this crowd on this video sucks. Their live shows are awesome and deserve better. Such well written music. Awesome. Thanks for posting.
BBreaking Benjamin has always been my favorite band chevelle is my 2nd. Saw Breaking Benjamin last year with FFDP. Also Disturbed and three days grace on their first tour this year. TOnight im seing Puddle of mudd, saliva, trapt, saving abel and another band. Want to see chevelle so bad though
I get where you’re coming from but also not everyone needs to be moshing to appreciate the show. Everyone enjoys the show in different ways some people just listen and watch in awe and some people go nuts. This crowd just had more of the first kind
It’s an issue if you’re blocking someone’s view but I come to watch videos like this all the time and look back on small videos I’ve taken of shows. They’re the best possible way of remembering the experience.
Sir DukesAlot Because I’ve seen them like 12 times and it is so worth having the memory and footage of a great show.. That’s part of what I do, if I’ve seen a band a lot... Yeah I have deftones, tool, Chimaira, machine head, the list goes on and on! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!🤘🤩🤘
Tony Cameron Without cellphone footage, TH-cam wouldn't be as great as it is right now. I personally wouldn't have discovered all the bands that I am a fan of right now and that is all because of live concert footage that people share on youtube. I believe that any band can do anything in a studio BUT... the REAL question is: "Can they play this material live" Now with my testimony of how TH-cam has benefitted me as a fan and how youtube benefits bands who need the exposure... Please quit complaining and watch the show with the rest of the cellphone screens. Lol!
@@CollectiveIntelligenceMusic well, a lot of people have compared Chevelle to Tool... not to say I agree, bc I believe they're pretty different. But I've heard them compared multiple times. Tool is much more complex and artistic, but Chevelle is still great in their own way
Their live shows have always sounded terrible because Pete is all over the place with his vocals. He needs to give up playing guitar live and focus on singing as powerfully as he can. Trying to do both has crippled their ability to compete against other bands.
Chevelle deserves to be a bigger band.
They need a rhythm guitarist. Only live. It will fill out nicer. I volunteer.
Agreed.
?
1. "Bigger" meaning more popular?
2. "Bigger" meaning more members?
UFO Skizz The issue with that is the fact that almost all of their songs are recorded with only one guitar.

Thank you for posting the setlist! Just a heads up, 42:49 is “Forfeit” and not “Comfortable Liar” . Keep rockin 🤘🏼
my favorite band for years ... how great that they keep working and we have new material ... they really are amazing!!!!!!!!!

It's such a good opener. Wish they would use that more!
Saw them in Fresno a grip of times too the fair rainbow ballroom selland arena always delivered too notch wish I could do it all over again again!!!!!
Best band on the planet, been a fan for 10 years now 🤘🏻
Chevelle one of my favorites

So good
I miss rocking the stage I need to find a band to play in like chevelle
Thomas Middleton I feel the same, let’s do this!
Don't "find" the band; make/form the band.
Fucking agreed once you get a taste of playing a show, you just crave another chance to play and make a crowd move you know
@@BPoweredLove a lot harder than you think lol
Was there. Fantastic show
Ohhh snap!!
Wow, never thought they'd play Evening with El Diablo live. That's so awesome to see.
LOVE CHEVELLE!!
MOSH!!!! THIS CROWD IS DEAD
They're more there for the light show but me shit I'd be getting that crowd to circle up and mosh.
Sam's drum skill is 🤘🏻 🤘🏻 🤘🏻
Totally agree Tony! Thanks for sharing this video!
Amazing set!
They were also good opening for Evanescense during the Carnival of Madness tour.
I saw them on that tour and they were bad ass made me a fan for life I'm going to see them for a second time on December 1st
I saw them on that tour In NASHVILLE
Can you image if they allowed phones to film in movie theaters. Live music performances is no different.
Completely agree. Every time I go to a show, I end up annoyed because dumbasses with their phones block everyone's view.
I somewhat agree but some “dumbass” filming this is why we can watch this great performance
@@ExMortis99I think the band should do a professional recording. The quality, especially sound sucks with cellphones.

followfornothing iPhone 7 Plus... I glad you are enjoying the footage! It’s nice to have these memories logged and shared🤘😜🤘
wheres the pit ?
I can tell just by looking at it that Pete's strings are extremely heavy, like 13's
They are 13
Rammstein at the end? Lol
Where is some vena sera ):
They played I Get It
such a great band, shame the crowd is asleep, where are the fucking circle pits?
Что за трек в начале?
Another know it all
Such a shame Dean is gone now
Hope Joe comes back.
If you stand there with your stupid phones recording how can you experience the actual show. Get off your phones and watch the show.
