Hi-question here!! I see that the black wires go into the old sensor input. But the white?? I see above the sensor input in mine is an input called display with 6 wires, one of which is blue, not attached to anything, with electrician’s tape wound around it. It’s not clear in the video where your white connector attaches. 2:03
Maybe yours is different. In this video installing this third meister, there was no wires being cut and reconnected. It was a simple plug and play.
So in order for this to work and adjust the temp, does the original thermistor have to be working?
My thermistor died so fridge is going into "safety" and is running almost nonstop and maintaining 20 degrees--
This seems nice and easy but not sure if it will adjust with the faulty thermistor I have.
This should fix your problem because this unit had a similar issue.
What was the temperature in the refrigerator before the installation of the variable resistor? Did you replace the thermistor or change the interval setting up or down (1-5)?
33 is a bit to cold, a bit closer to 39-40 is more like it, for the refrigerator section. I only wish my freezer ever got to zero.
It has been sometime ago now so unfortunately I do not remember the temperatures. The thermistor was replaced with this new unit that has more efficient control and variability than the old system that did not.
What do you do with the old thermistor, where did you hang it back on the fin?

My freezer barely gets cool anymore and the refrigerator stays hot.
