Another corker of a video husband. This has been my favourite series by far. I don’t like it when you travel without me but I do love the resulting videos. Tricky conundrum. Also, unlike you to make such a wise decision not to follow the diversion. I’m impressed. 😆 xx.
Back from Friulia/Northeastern Italy and finally able to catch up with your series, Simon. A CRF 300 on AX41 is so easy to ride, even when riding fast on roads with lots of lean. But your range on the Rally is much better, inspiring for remote regions. One of the best things of that Honda is its ability to get you in trouble (diversions) and out of it. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
@@wanderinghonda7963 Wow, Simon, Lesotho. Remember hiking in the Drakensberge very well. Quite different from Friulia in Indian summer. 95% small and winding roads, very little traffic, amazing views. 5% gravel, not too easy. Likely to be there again next October. If you ever plan to ride there I'd help out with gpx. Enjoy Africa and Sani pass, Günter/Nürnberg
@enduromotorradtouren cheers Günter, we did Sani pass this morning, conditions were ok. Not too bad but still tricky enough! Glad you’re back from your trip safely. I think we’ll be taking a couple of months rest during the winter 😊
@@wanderinghonda7963 Taking a rest is important. Just a few training & tour weekends for me and a Portugal trip, then I'll be tired enough for winter ;-) Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg
Yes I do say hi to farm animals when passing by. Maybe strange to some but something inside tells me to do it! Dog food coffee nuggets....maybe you're on to something new! LOL. In your defense one doesn't typically find dog food on counter of coffee/food stops especially in an unmarked container. Really lovely drone shots! I used to use the weather for an excuse not to ride or do something outdoors but the older I get I'm learning that unless its severe where it puts me at risk I just go and live the experience. Many positives, you are healthy, the Honda is healthy, and you have proper gear. There I was thinking; well, small accommodation is fine as long as warm, dry and a hot shower.....then you say no hot water and window don't close.🤔 You were right there was a catch but it could have been worse. Awesome ending shot. Thanks for another entertaining video. Ride Safe!, Peace!
It’s been very gratifying that people have been commenting that they also say hello to cows, it makes me feel less weird! I particularly enjoyed the lovely lady who told me she says thank you to pots and pans 😂 Brilliant Quite a few Norwegians have been in touch to tell me that it was one of the wettest summers they’ve ever had. I agree though, as long as your kit is pretty good you sometimes just have to get on with it and enjoy the experience It’s a shame this series is coming to an end and I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed it. Hopefully you’ll not mind the slight gap in the channel as I catch up with editing and you’ll enjoy what’s coming up next just as much 😊 Ride safe!
You actually made me cry with laughter in the clip where you came to the cabin by Lillehammer where you thought the dog food was sugar. Keep up the good content. Love it. Cheers from another tet rider from Denmark.
😂😂😂 I was so so so close to putting the dog biscuit in my coffee. I have no idea why my brain wasn’t functioning on that day, but it was genuinely not working properly! I’m so glad you enjoyed it, it makes my stupidity feel worth it 😂
OK, caught up with all the Swedish/Norwegian TET until the next one drops, so I guess I'll just have to look at some of the other tours you've done while I'm waiting. Really awesome!
😂 New episodes are published on Friday afternoons (UK time) Unfortunately as you go back in time our episodes are probably not as well filmed or thought through. The film making is certainly a steep learning curve and hopefully we get better with each series After the last Scandinavian episode on Friday there’s a small gap of a week or so then a channel update with previews of the awesome African adventures we’re having this year I wish I could edit faster 😂
@@wanderinghonda7963 Cheers for the heads up. I definitely want to watch the Pyrenees and you said Portugal and Wales were where the more technical trails were. I see you take a laptop with you. How do you manage to keep it charged long enough?
Electronics are the bane of my life! I carry a lot of kit now when travelling and charging is a constant job I carry two large power banks and Steff (who you’ll get to know from other series) also carries multiple large power banks.
@@wanderinghonda7963 I have enough issue just managing my phone, earbuds, torch and headlamp (my torch and headlamp use rechargeable 18650 batteries). I'm forming a mental image of you stopping at a "Hoity Toity Hotel" for a night and plugging in a bunch of power banks and electronics to charge them up to cover the next couple of days on the trail.
The weird thing about that day was that despite the weather and the fact it was cold and a little miserable, I genuinely couldn’t stop smiling! It was a fun day. I was loving the scenery and the journey Thanks for the lovely comment 😊
@@wanderinghonda7963 I did the same part this summer. And really got emotional with these lovely views, rivers and so on. It just made me so much firm on that I need a couple of weeks on a trip like you have in 2025. Mindfulness on a bike 👏💕
Ahhhhh, I just googled it 😂 Wow. That’s a genuinely interesting question! I personally wouldn’t want to do it 😂 I’d say for most of it it’s possible but a few sections not. I’d love to watch the videos if you do it 🎉🎉🎉
I feel bad for you with the weather we had in the southern part of norway this summer. My motorcycles have been parked a lot. But you make good content anyway 😊👍
We have had a similar situation in the UK this year. If I’d had a choice, sure I would have loved beautiful sunshine everyday but the rain definitely didn’t dampen my enthusiasm (well not too often anyway 😂) or the beauty of your country I’m definitely coming back to explore more!
😂 fantastic. It’s lovely to have it confirmed that Steff and I aren’t totally weird. I love the thank you to shoes and pans, I think that’s something I need in my life and I’m going to give it a go 😊

A couple of people have been kind enough to leave me comments letting me know that it wasn’t me going mad and that it was indeed a wet year 😂 I still loved it and I’m definitely coming back but I’m hoping the motorcycle gods will be kind and reward me with some more sunshine next time.
