It’s so much fun to watch someone enjoying our roads and trails here in Sweden and how much you appreciate all things I tend to overlook while riding at home. I actually starting to think that riding the Swedish TET could be my on my list next season. Looking forward to the following episodes! Keep it up 🏍️💨
It’s funny that we all tend to do that I’m exactly the same, I often don’t appreciate the beauty I have on my front door! I’m really glad you are enjoying the series! Thanks so much for the comment and I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the series, and perhaps also the future ones like the African series we’re currently filming 😊 Ride safe
I bet Steff was thinking she was glad not to be with you during the torrential downpour. Glad you made it through to hotel without incident! Good riding! In northeast US deer stay hunkered down during a storm. It's in the few hours leading up to it they are out feeding. I heard the robotic mowers work really good in areas with little to no rain.....where the grass doesn't grow. 🤣. The marketing for them is way better than their usefulness and life expectancy. Thanks for suffering through miserable weather at the expense of our entertainment. Still loving the scenery! Peace! Ride Safe.
Sorry about the delay in replying, we’re getting very intermittent signal over here in Africa so it’s making it tricky to keep up to date. Interesting about the deer in the US. The storms seemed to make them more active when I was trying to get out of the forest. Love that you are enjoying the series still 😊 Ride safe 😊
A guy I chatted to a couple of days later suggested exactly the same thing as you are. Wow 😂 it’s a game changer, it worked a treat. No more squeaky boots!
Robo's rule, had two over the last twenty years, Husqvarna, and would highly recommend one for any garden that takes more than hour to cut, only weakness is they require boundary wire which can be prone to breaking, however latest models are now able to use highly accurate GPS system . will operate 24/7 in all weathers just like crf300, having said that just sold mine for a Himalayan 450, watching you videos making me think next year I will be heading north instead of south. Cheers enjoy watching🍻
They look amazing gadgets! I don’t think our postage stamp of a lawn justifies one unfortunately Thanks for the comment and letting us know you are enjoying the series, enjoy the rest of it. I loved it “up north”! 😊
can't help but agree with the others about robotic lawnmowers, definitely worth the money :) Love the series. I myself have driven part of the Swedish TET between Halmstad and Grimsås a few times this summer on my Tiger 800XC, really fun :)
Ciao!! Very interesting Sweden&Norway!!! I suppose not a very hard off road!!!Maybe an idea for next year!!!Your videos give me a spring to to!! Tell me when you plan to visit Italy so we can meet!!
The off-road is very easy and would be great with an adventure bike. Perfectly suited to bigger bikes 👍🏼 We’ll definitely say hi when we’re coming through Italy 😊
I'd be getting just as distracted - and probably starting late in the mornings too, to be honest. And I'm sure there's a law that says "never pass up coffee and ice cream". It looks too beautiful to be "boring". Sure, it might not be as gnarly or technical as some people may like, but that may well suit other riders. Looks like you take a layered approach to your riding garments like I do, with just a thin waterproof outer for when it rains. I used to have the heavy Cordura waterproof jacket with the zip-out liner... that was still too hot to wear in summer even with the liner out. Now I go for multiple layers that I can add/remove as required depending on the temperature and whether or not it's raining.
It’s interesting you mention the layering because we’ve considered doing a video on it. Obviously different things suit different people and we wouldn’t want to say our system is the best but I wish somebody had advised us when we first started adventure riding, they would’ve saved us thousands of pounds spent on the latest adventure suits with all of the marketing that goes on behind them The system we use works from freezing temperatures up to 40°C temperatures with just a few simple layering tricks Your comment has probably motivated me to do a quick video with Steph when I get back on what we wear when we travel on the bikes. It might be useful for some people.
@@wanderinghonda7963 Yes, please do make a video on that. In my case, the layering came from my camping background - except that on the motorbike there's the option of an armour layer - it occurred to me (sadly, only a couple of years ago) that the principles that applied to keeping me comfortable while camping _in whatever weather_ could be applied to motorcycling. Prior to that, I periodically suffered whenever the weather was either too hot or too cold for whatever expensive riding gear I was wearing. As you say, no system is the best and everything's a matter of what suits any given individual, but a video showing what you use might well help some people. May just do one of my own, now.
We went into the same weather condition around Karlsborg that same day as you. The sky went black as in the night time within minutes, and it ended up in most extreme weather conditions that ive ever experienced being caught outside on a motorcycle.⛈ love your videos ❤keep em` comming❤
I’ve sprayed some chain lube in the boot hinge and I’m like a ninja now 😂 Sorry about the slow reply. We’re currently in Africa filming another series and we are very rarely with internet Thanks for the comment 😊
Simon, you've been lucky with the weather - except at the end. But then the hoity toity hotel will make up for it. And the English football team, of course. Cheerio, Günter/Nürnberg
Another amazing video, btw I have the same boots and mine sound exactly the same. I’m loving the filming, if you ever get chance I would love to see a video on your filming and editing.
Quite a few people mentioned a squirt of chain lube or similar in the boot hinges and it’s a miracle cure, I’m like a ninja now It’s a huge compliment that you think I should do a video on editing so thank you! There are so many amazing videos out there from the professionals I’d be a little embarrassed to attempt that sort of video 😆
Great videos, I have the same boots, bit of strange suggestion, but bit of chain lube, on the pivot point on ankle and work it in by bending the boot a bit(the bit where the plastic slides underneath another bit of plastic, apologies for the vague description 😂) sorted mine out, just redo it every so often.
Thanks as always for sharing your adventures with us , we'll done on getting through the down pour , never a pleasant challenge. I will apologise now just incase you have mentioned it before on your channel, but I was wondering which tent you have for the current trip ? As I'm struggling with a 3 man tent at the moment and looking for something a little lighter and more manageable. Thanks In advance. Keep up the good work. Your doing well seeing your at a disadvantage ie a buddy to help keep you going. 😢
No problem at all 😊 We’re currently travelling in Africa (it should be really entertaining videos!) so I don’t have the details to hand and I don’t want to give you the wrong one We did a video on all the camping gear so you can skip to the bits that interest you. (We mention the tent we use when Steff and I are travelling together and also the one I use solo and I used throughout Scandinavia 👍🏼). I’ll pop the link at the bottom of my reply Hope it’s helpful if you need more info just do us a comment again 😊 Motorcycle Camping (Motocamping) set up and kit on our CRF300 th-cam.com/video/CDh1r0b-Kqw/w-d-xo.html

And another fantastic video.....I really wanna do the swedish tet but honestly those midges and mozzys would drive me bat s### crazy! But camping by those lakes looks absolutely unreal..... i have a question , how much did you roughly spend on fuel for the trip?
I know what you mean about the mozzys 😂 I can’t lie they were brutally annoying at times! The beauty of the scenery (perhaps even more so later in the series) made up for it though and I’d go back again in a heartbeat Fuel wise I guess it would have been around £20 a day but that’s just a rough guess I’m afraid. I should have kept more detailed records as a couple of people asked about that. Sorry I can’t be more precise 😊
A well cut lawn is almost a religious thing for some swedes. Thus the robots. I dont get it but thats the way it is. Lived there all my life by the way. Great video never the less.
Shame I missed that. It’s always the way when travelling and fleetingly passing through places unfortunately. No matter how hard you try there’s no way you get to see everything. I enjoyed the bits I saw though Thanks for saying hi 😊
