- We decided to try 5 exotic fruits which are very popular here in Bali, Indonesia. I found my most favourite fruit of all, but I also found my least favourite fruit EVER. Check out the video to see which fruits we tried and which one is the worst of all!

Just info, if you try salak (snake fruit) in Bali and in jogja ,have diferent taste.
@@diarywongragenah7410 ok never know the taste in Sumatra for salak was first sweet then a bit sour, and the Rambutan tasted sweet but the texture you need to get use to it

they taste like strange and tasteless food appreciate each fruit has a different taste and uniqueness as well as benefits. these types of people think they are the best about taste but in reality their brains are too narrow to accept the variety and different flavors in each fruit in every country.

Imagine you lost in the middle of the Indonesian jungle you will meet those fruits arround you and you will be safe because of the fruits you eaten

Omg so many tropical food you probably need to try that you wont find in europe such as: Duku, jackfruit, dondong, sawo, srikaya, starfruit and even mangos have so many varieties here such as Arumanis mango, golek mango, kweni mango, and manalagi mango~ maybe part 2 haha

either loving it or completely hate it, that's durian. it's literally rip my family in two, with just my dad and brother loving it so much they'll even eat it outside of the door, hahaha
For rambutan, there are a lot types of rambutans. The one I grew in front of my house is sweet, even when they are still green/yellow, not a hint of sourness but it's not too sweet like some of other rambutan. It's perfect. The texture is different too. Mine is more firm than the other rambutan so it's very easy to seperate the fruit meat from the seed.
If you ever found another rambutan asked what type of rambutan it is, mine is Antalagi, it's from South Kalimantan. One of the best rambutan you can find in Indonesia.
Another tips, best Salak is Salak Pondoh, you can find them in Jogja and Malang.
For Durian, it's Durian Monthong and Durian Medan. I would suggest to find them in stores because it's pretty hard to find which one is the best durian.
So whenever you visit other part of Indonesia, you can ask what's the best fruit there. Different region has their own speciality.

And your snake fruit is almost gone bad.
You guys got the "bellow standard" of fruit quality from the local market, hence the cheap price.
So basically the fruit in this video are "rejected" from the "real market".

When you try something new (especially food), you have to research first and then try it, it'll be better if you don't have any influence from what people think about that food (but after you tasted it you can ask) except how to eat it, then you have your own opinion about that food.

Durian fruit is alcoholic, the same as drinking alcoholic beverages. can make drunk, but can be neutralized by eating the mangosteen fruit.
man I love durian, we have it in all kinds of food and drinks: ice cream, juice, smoothie, you name it.. you should let Wisnu try it coz the durian you ate probably wasn't "normal" 🤣
Had a good laugh watching you guys tryout these foreign(to you)fruits and really delighted that you hated the durian……theres just not enough for us durian lovers so this should balance the supply and demand😄

Hi.. i think that you guys made a mistake by picking up the kind of durian. For the firstimer you shouuld go for premium durian which taste sweet, the texture are not too soft and the smell not too strong..
A lot of variance of durian, whcih sweet, bitter, alcoholic, fermeted, acidy etc.. you should pic the sweet one for the test and i guarantee you will love it..

Durian is a fruit that you will have a "love me or hate me' relationship kind of thing. But I guess you need to give it another chance. You'll never know, maybe you'll love it somehow. 😁

@@gypsyinsneakers Some durian are better than others, it depends where you buy it. Say like mangoes, sometimes you get the nice and sweet ones , sometimes u get ones that arents sweet at all. Durian like musang king durians are nice. After watching the video, i think you got a bad durian. It must have tasted the way it looked.

there are several types of rambutan that have a very delicious texture like the texture of lychees (example: rambutan Tarakan) If the rambutan is bali, the texture is stuck to the seeds, it gets stuck in the teeth and is acidic maybe because the land in Indonesia is different

I think you got wrong Rambutan, Salak and Durian. You have to be accompanied by right people to choose those fruits (you've got wrong partner to get those fruits). All of them should be delicious.

Several kinds of salak, if you want the sweet one you can try salak pondoh from jogjakarta central java, and for rambutan you must try rambutan binjai because it's easy to separate from the seet and have sweet flavour

Durians are called the king of fruits. Mangosteens the queen of fruits. I could eat durians all day, and salaks, and mangosteens...😂. I live in Sydney and the only fruit I could not get is salaks. Imported durians come frozen but Australia now grows durians locally too, though I have not tried one. It's A$50/kg. Imagine you bring home and not edible.

For rambutan, its better if u open it from the hariy skin n keep it on refridgerator....it feel better if cold...n before u eat them, u can seperate the flesh of fruit from the seed...try it n u may fall in love with rambutan 🙏🙏

Idk if many people doing this or not but usually my family ate rambutan after slicing the meat out from the seeds using knifes.
Just cut them from 4 sides. Slice the front and the back as closer possible to the seed first and then slice the other 2 sides (left and right) to make 4 big chunk of rambutan meat (the front and the back side that you cut first will be naturally bigger than the other 2 sides).
You can slice the rest of them (the leftover which is like in 4 diagonal sides also top and bottom part if there's anyit of them) or just put them in your mouth and ate them like the way you do in this video.
Slice a lot of rambutan before you eat them.
It's easier to eat this way since you don't have to worry about the meat sticking to the seed and vice versa, so you'll have a lot less wasted meat unlike if you just ate the rambutan without slicing them first.
Trust me it would feels waaaay better and it's totally worth it.

I tried Snake fruit, it's slightly sweet and slightly fruity fragrance, and slightly sour.
Not stingy at all.

So funny you guys trying durian! I actually was brought up eating all these fruits (minus snakefruit), I was born in Malaysia, but I live in Australia. It's funny how some people absolutely find durian revolting, when it's so normal for me and the taste is delicious! I would say, you have to try durian COLD. It tastes a lot better cold. My favourite is mangosteen by far.

Please you try Borneo Island especially trip to Mahakam River...or Trip to Java Island. There alot of the Holand Buildings as our Heritage until now. Benteng Venderburg in Yogyakarta, Lawang Sewu im Semarang, Gedung Sate in Bandung..etc.
5:44 it means Wisnu can't pick the good one actually Salak (Snake fruit) is sweet enough if you get the right one. How to get the good one, just look at the skin scales. the bigger the scales size and brighter the color is the good one. So its not over. I see the fruit is not yet ready.

To be honest, if you buy it at a slightly higher price, the fruit you eat actually tastes sweet, rambutan is very sweet if you buy the red one ✌🏻
Yes, we eat durians inside the house, though usually we try to eat it outdoors. My mom keeps the meat inside a box and refrigerate it. Super nice when it's nice and cold from the fridge. Love it! There's also a local dish here in West Borneo (not sure if it's also a thing in other parts of Indo) made of durian called "Tempoyak" made from durians that goes well with rice

Probably the smell. The strong smell of durian influenced their taste buds and also some foreigners probably ate a bad durian (like they don't know which one is the ripe one) and thought all durian is like that. While in fact, it's pretty hard to find a good durian.
I would go straight to the durian forest just to buy it cheaper and picked the best ones. Street vendors would sell it more expensive and usually some are too ripe, some are under ripe (like they need another week to be fully ripe).
They are all actually really good. Its just really hard to get the good ones.
Durian especially as it's one of the highly priced fruit in Indonesia. It's really hard to find the good ones.
There are many types of rambutan and salak fruit,, "rambutan rapiah / rambutan leci,, and salak pondo" is one of the most delicious in my opinion, you have to try it again,, it's the best type that I recommend

I usually eat durian at home, the smell goes away quickly. When I was a child in a village (in Sumatra), I had dozens of durians in the house or even almost 100 fruits, I just had to choose what I wanted to eat. In the past, durian prices were still cheap. In South Sumatra, there is a dish made from sour durian, we call it Tempoyak, usually cooked with shrimp or "pepes" ( meat or fish wrapped in a banana leaf and roasted) with fish.
For me as Indonesian the strongest smelly fruit is cempedak. I think you must try it

Hi brother, I think you should try eating "duku fruit and kecapi fruit", the only fruit in Indonesia, but maybe you will find it hard to get because the fruit is only available in some areas.
There are lots of rambutan varieties...you eat the sour one..try "rapiah" variant..it's sweat and the sead is not stick

If you want to try rambutan, you must try rambutan Binjai.it's so good coz rambutan have many type of flavours.but Binjai(rambutan) he's have sweet taste and not sticky.

I remember being at a hotel in Malaysia and seen a sign in the room to say no durian.. I couldn’t get myself to try it 😝
