- That's because it's lower and now fits with the NR200P tempered glass panel perfectly. Cooler Master's refinement of the Hyper 212 is going to make it the go-to tower cooler for the NR200P. In this review we'll cover the cooler and how it compares, as well as some enhancements you can make to it.

Thanks for continuous ITX content you cover on your channel. Much appreciated, as always. 😊
this channel and it's content is always so cozy. the lighting, the room, the classy music and the softer speaking. Like being told a bedtime story.
This is working great for me in my all black nr200p build, i was getting tired of waiting for the noctua D12L chromax black, since i got myself an upgrade to a 5700X cpu. so i got this cooler and added a generic cooler master sickleflow 120mm to the build, using rear flow intake. Unfortunately the extra fan can only run 1800rpm compared to the 2500rpm of the fan that comes with the cooler, but my pc never gets that hot anyway. Great stuff, keep up the content
Back when I built my NR200 build, I used your recommendation of the Noctua NH-C14S and I've been really impressed with that. I'd like to have seen comparisons to that even though it's not a tower heatsink.
I bought the IDCOOLING 224xt on his recommendation for my 5600x, paired it with a gentle typhoon at the back of the case, and it’s been magic for 3 years now. Near silent and even with 4.6ghz all core I never crack 75C unless I’m running cinebench.
Man the 212 has been around forever it seems. Totally classic cooler, nice to see it got a good upgrade!
Thermalright phantom spirit 120se works with the nr200p with both glass and mesh panel
ya idk why anyone would use this over ps120 or even a scythe fuma 2
@@megadeth8592 they are almost the same price also
@@megadeth8592 I know a reason, aestethics could be an major factor. This is all black, meanwhile those are basically all silver/metallic looking. It's only the top that have gotten the blacked out treatment. If using the TG panel, aestethic could play a major role for some :)
i have the fuma 2 and i dont use it cause its dam ugly, whats the point on having a nr200p if your internal looks meh@@megadeth8592
Great vid! Thanks. You were using two fans in push/pull configuration...Noctua and stock fans and the result looked good. Would you predict the outcome will be better if one was using the same brand of fan?
Looks like an great option for my older Phanteks P300A build!
I bought this for my 7800x3d air cooled blacked out NR200 build. It’s been great so far! Got my 4070 Super FE in the mail yesterday so the build is finally complete.
Very nice!
You should also try out the deepcool ak400. Im currently running mine with 2 120mm be quiet silent wings 4 pro fans and it stays so quiet and cool. Can also use that one with tempered glass.
I use the Thermalright Burst Assassin 120 and it performs extremely well with my 5800X3D
And it's like just $20, vs $35 for this 212
@@Pamani_ Highly dependant on country, regions and current currency values. Tomorrow those numbers could be flipped...
It's not going to be a go-to cooler, not when the PS120SE exists.
I have the PS120SE and tried it with my ASUS B650E-I, when using the TG panel, it literally pushed the entire cooler down and made the motherboard itself bulge. Hence this cooler itself is actually designed to fit with the TG panel, hence why I'd be more comfortable going with this rather than PS120SE. It may be compatible due to specs on paper, but when talking about SFF, there's mm of space we're talking about and manufacturers can't possibly take into account every single motherboard etc out there. Again, there will always be slight differences in tolerances.
It's also an question of aestethics, which is highly personal and subjective. In this regard, I find this cooler to be much more subtle and better looking than the PS120SE. But each to their own :)
Will it improve the performances with two Noctua A12x25 (or two Silent Wings Pro 4) ?
Should we get this or Master Hyper 622 for NR200?
Here's a question for you - what about using an air cooler in the MAX version? In-case the AIO broke or something. You would be limited to sff coolers I suppose because of the GPU position, but could it still work? Intake on top, exhaust on bottom perhaps.
You said that you would recommend the 212 for midrange cpus, what would you recommend for the 14700k?
Do you attach the PWM to the Noctua or the stock fan when running them dual?
Very interested in a comparison with the Mugen 5
I wonder if this cooler have better ram clearance than the older models
How are you getting such low temps? My 14600k reaches 88C and then throttles. Im using the same case, heatsink and fans as you.
estranho porque esse modelo e menor que os outros ? estou na duvida se o Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo também caberia no nr200p.
Pleace cant you do a rew on Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE if it fits whit the glaspanel?
does the cm hyper 212 halo cpu cooler fit with the glass panel on? the spec sheet says max of 153mm with glass but the 212 halo is 154mm but ive seen videos of it fitting. can you confirm if it actually fits?
Do you have the rear fan being an intake from the back or is it pushing air out as an exhaust from the inside? What’s the config here? Let me know cause I’m highly anticipating buying this one for my NR200P build. Thank you! Great job on the video!
i suspect it is rear intake because from his older videos for the NR200P optimal fan use, best thermals were from rear intake with top fan exhaust and i think adding the bottom intake fans helped a small amount (slim fans or regular ones depending on GPU clearance). i am assembling all the parts for abuild in this case in a few days. i bought a cheap Thermalright Assassin King mini v2 because it was $20 with a nice polished plate. Depending on temps i may or may not replace it with something better (chromax black nh-d12l when it's out). I am not a gamer or content creator, i just want a small sleek build. i am using a Ryzen 5 7600 so pretty easy to cool.
Does it matter if the fan is right up against the back or do you speculate that it will produce similar cooling results if it’s just near the back plate? Currently I’m running a scythe CPU cooler with a 92mm rear intake due to space limitations.
Hey, please review asrock a620 itx mobo
i have the spectrum v3, these should be replacing the stock intel coolers.
@Machines & More Do you plan on covering the Meshroom D ? Would love to hear your prospective.
has cooler master considered making another version of nr200 yet .. to fit recent hardware especially gpu
V2 is out
This or the PS120SE for a 7800x3D + 4090?
What's your opinion on the ASRock A620I Lightning WiFi? Seems Asrock updated its 620 specs, with a beefier VRM. It's on sale now, halft the price of the Asus B650 mini ITX
Did you end up getting it? I just bought one and I’m waiting for it to arrive
@@Joemels Nope, still on the fence for an ITX system. I'm stuck with an Asus RX 7900 XT, great card but frickin huge, won't fit any case. So I need to sell this and the used market is pretty bad right now.
Was putting my hope on the NR200 V2, but not sure about going watercooling.
@@bakakafka4428 from what I’ve heard the nr200 v2 is a bit of a letdown. But their website says it supports 356mm in length and 160mm in height now. Since they made the case larger. I think that’s up from a 3 slot at 330mm. So your gpu should fit. I would just go with air cooling for this case. Otherwise you should go smaller
I've bought the RGB variant, but I had one NF-A12 chromax, so I basically made a version of this cooler on steroids...
Noctua pushes it to the top of the 120 charts, I'd say... Temperatures aren't much worse than an Arctic LF 240
Does this also work well for the NR200 mesh panel version?
Sure! You can get a bigger/taller cooler but only if your CPU needs dictate it. Otherwise for moderate TDP chips this is the sweet spot.
Scythe Fuma 3... Thermalright PS120 SE... Noctua NH-D12L... All of these would be a much better option than the Hyper 212. No clue why the hyper 212 is suddenly considered good.
They really should improve their mounting system. This one is older than the world..
can this handle a I7 13700k?
Curious to know this too. Though I'm currently using the Noctua D12L on the 13700k and it's great!
For gaming, should be fine. If you’re doing heavy rendering or multithreaded, it wouldn’t be the best choice but can work with caution- expect high fan speeds and/or not getting the highest boost clocks.
@@MachinesMore yeah is for gaming and ill buy it and use both coolers at kest thats the idea
Now we need a matching white color.
