I must have landed in a parallel world, because I see an American laughing at German humor.😂
German here: You made my day!!
Germans have no humour!
And especially so when one remembers that apparently Germans don’t have humour, which is utter nonsense, of course. The german language is ideal for humour, but you can only truly appreciate it if you understand German.
This Cartoon is international (by Loriot)greetings from Cologne Germany.😅
Every married man all over the world in every universe knows this, so he has to laugh if he doesn't want to cry.
The only downside to this gem is the added laughing track that wasn't included in the original version.
Realy importend point.
It's really fucking annoying, idk why they did that.
@@Th3hUnT3R1 Americans need to be told when to laugh. So they added laughing tracks. The differences between Europe and America can best be seen by watching Kitchen Nightmare UK and Kitchen Nightmare US.
Americans can't go 2 seconds without any sondeffect. Just look at every US reality tv show@@Th3hUnT3R1
@@Th3hUnT3R1it's there to tell Americans how to feel about it.
In my generation saying "Ich möchte einfach nur hier sitzen - I just want to sit here" is a common quote and everybody knows where it is from.
another one would be:
'frauen haben auch ihr gutes' - 'women are actually alright'
from a scene in which a father tries to teach his adolescent son about sexual relationships.
@@vonkunstfreiheitgedeckt I love it 😂
Mein Sohn ist 16. Er sitzt und spricht. From the same movie.
My son is 16, he sits and talks.
"Ach was.."
"Die Ente bleibt draußen!"
"Dann habe ich mein Jodel-Diplom. Dann habe ich was eigenes..."
"Mein Name ist Lohse. Ich kaufe hier ein"
😊
"Was machst Du hier?!!!" "Ich wohne hier!" "Aber doch nicht um diese Zeit!"@@katrins9953
In Germany after Loriot died we say, god want him, because he wanted to laugh in heaven
Do you remember, in the SZ (big newspaper) they dedicated him a whole page. And all there was, was the line "dear god, have fun"
Loriot is a classic german cartoonist.
The next most famous animated skit would be : Das Ei ist hart (the egg is hard)
Also Awsome ''The Noodle''
This "Scenes of a matrimony" has three parts. The third is when the tv is broken.
Odee die Episode: "Mein Hund kann sprechen"
More like "Das Bild hängt schief!"
Edit: also do not forget about the Jodel-Diplom.
Loriot war einfach der Größte!😊
When Loriot (who wrote, painted and spoke that comic) died, a big german magazine titeled: Dear God, have fun.
Loriot is the master of german humor 😂😂😂
It's so nice to see German jokes from the 60's and 70's still work today as well as in America as also in Germany :D
Honestly I think this one works in every single country in the world lmao - ( other than the Taliban hahaha )
@@ReactionsbyD
Haha guess you're right :D
@onsbyD "she wants me to do something, mhhh where is my favourite belt and my favourite stone,mhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."
Ich habe es schon 1000 Mal gesehen und trotzdem wieder Tränen gelacht.😂
Loriot was one of the greatest german comedian.
the greatest
The creator of these characters is Loriot, a brilliant humorist and subtlety.
He entertained German-speaking countries for decades with sketches, movies and cartoons.
Much of it is legendary and integrated into German usage.
He held up a mirror to the (bourgeois) German post-war society, was satirical, very intelligent, but could also produce fantastic slapstick.
Unfortunately, there is little of him to be found on YT.
An example with mediocre image quality but english subs.
"Das Bild hängt schief", The picture is hanging crooked:
th-cam.com/video/uV-IZBIkudk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bBQXLX5_Wf9ewWda
Na endlich fangt ihr an, auch den Link anzuhängen. Ich mache das schon seit Jahren. Es ist ein harter Kampf mit dem Stereotyp aufzuräumen, dass wir keinen Humor haben. Ein Kampf gegen Windmühlen...
That sketch was actually inspired by Jacques Tati, but he really made it his own.

Loriot was a man ahead of his time.Just remember this was in the 70s
Nah. I guess that exact situation did apply in the stone age even. But his observation still is the most spot on accurate up until today, i agree.
Some things never change
Even the Yanonami-indian guy in the south american rain forest or an Inuit man far north near the pole would smile and say "yes, I know that".
Yeh! You found Loriot! Congratulations! Yes there is much more and it is all very real.
Loriot was a genius! This sketch is from 1977! If you like Loriot's humour, there are tons of videos on youtube. I also recommend "Das Frühstücksei" The breakfast egg 🤣
Rearly? 1977
@@hubertniesing7565 Yep!
Loriot had such a fine and unmatched sense of humour.
He was THE best in Humor and Satire.
Loriot, actually Bernhard-Viktor “Vicco” Christoph-Carl von Bülow (born November 12, 1923 in Brandenburg an der Havel; † August 22, 2011 in Münsing-Ammerland), was one of the most famous German humorists from the 1950s onwards worked in literature, television, theater and film until his death. Loriot initially established himself as a cartoonist, later he also worked as an actor, screenwriter, animator, presenter, director and set and costume designer. In 2003 he was appointed honorary professor of theater art at the Berlin University of the Arts.
After completing his art studies, Bülow produced his first works as a commercial artist and designed the characteristic bulbous-nosed man. From 1950 onwards, Bülow worked as a cartoonist, first for the Hamburg magazine Die Straße, then for the magazines Stern and Quick. Since then he has used the stage name Loriot.
From 1967 to 1972, Loriot hosted the television program Cartoon for ARD's Süddeutscher Rundfunk, for which he was also the author and co-director. It was originally a series of international animated films in which he also included his own work and thus artistically left the narrow framework that the magazine medium had imposed on his drawings. Loriot's initially pure moderation from a red sofa increasingly became an independent humorous element of the program. Loriot later also incorporated sketches in which he himself took the lead role into the episodes.
In 1972 the cartoon series ended. In 1974, Süddeutscher Rundfunk produced a one-off program called Loriots Telecabinet that foreshadowed some of what was to come over the course of the decade. In 1976, Loriot's Clean Screen was the first episode of the six-part television series Loriot on Radio Bremen, in which he presented both cartoons and mock sketches (the latter often together with Evelyn Hamann). The series is considered the highlight of his television work and made Loriot an integral part of German television, literary, cultural and social history.
In 1988, Loriot shot the film Ödipussi as author, director and leading actor, followed in 1991 by Pappa ante portas.
Vicco von Bülow died on August 22, 2011 at the age of 87 in Ammerland on Lake Starnberg. He was buried on August 30, 2011 in the immediate family circle at the Heerstraße forest cemetery in the Westend district of Berlin. A funeral service was also held for him in the Evangelical Lutheran St. Gotthardt Church in Brandenburg/Havel, where von Bülow was baptized on December 30, 1923. In 1986, Loriot publicly called for donations to renovate the church.
The Art Directors Club mourned its honorary member in a newspaper ad with the words: "Dear God, have fun!"
He also apperead in the US-filmproduction "the longest day" from 1962 with sidekicks like John Wayne, Sean Connery, Rod Steiger, Robert Mitchum, Richard Burton, Henry Fonda and some others... 😎 😀
God will have fun 😄😄😄
@@felixropke9777 That's true. I totally forgot about it.
Loriot and Heinz Erhardt where the best humorists in germany!
what part did he play?@@felixropke9777
Loriot is so real. That´s why his comedy is so funny.
Loriot was a genius. A true artist and comedian. He observed German society into detail and used what he saw as a template. Loriot still is a German treasure and the benchmark for comedy.😂❤
Yeah. That’s what Loriot did: observing people and putting a mirror in front of us. And somehow we didn’t get offended. Maybe because it was always the others he was showing. Not ourselves…😉
Haven seen it hundred times and still laughing about it. This kind of humor is immortal...
loriot was a national treasure of german television in the 80s and onwards.
he also had a tv show in which they played little skitches. and made two movies. most of it brilliant.
he wrote, directed and played. and used the same group of actors who were also brilliant in their roles.
Nobody passes Loriot without laughing. Greetings from Germany! :-)
Loriot was a genius in observing society.
So, so many years old but still fantastic 🙂 Loriot was by far the best comedien Germany ever had.
Loriot. Different countrys, same problems.
The worst question: “What are you thinking right now.” As a man, you can't get out of this number. No chance.
Dont miss "Die Nudel" oder "Das Ei".
Didn't Al Bundy answer that question correctly by saying "You know, if I wanted you to know I would be talking"? 🤣
@@MichaelReiter He also said, when asked if he missed his wife: "With every bullet so far."
The funniest part is how this is exactly how my parents were…
Not only is the struggle real, but it's universal...
among all ages nations and languages
Loriot war genial.Seine Cartoons und Sketchs waren Brilliant.
Loriot was brilliant. His cartoons and sketches were brilliant.🤣🤣
Loriot provides the finest german humor ever seen on tv
The way it keeps building up and up....perfection.German humor is very subtle, but when it hits, it hits!
Hi from Germany
Loriot nailed always😂😂😂
His real name was Vico von Bülow and he had a very silent Smiley way to look on people 😊
this is loriot ...the master of german comedy
Loriot is BRILLANT and an icon ❤Had to laugh with you 😅😅😅, thanks for your reaction
I'm glad our humour finally made it across the atlantic ocean😂😂😂
Nice! Loriot was a genius in showing all these imperfections, especially in the relation between women and men… this is a timeless classic! 😉🤣😆👍
Loriot has a lot of stuff like that. He was an exquisite observer of human interchange. I.e. Das Ei ist hart - the egg is hardboiled or Männer im Bad - men in the bathroom.
But he not only make comics - real life comedy, too. I.e. Das Jodeldiplom - the yodel diploma. Watch and laugh.
This is so spot on. A friend gave me the advice once to never say to my girlfriend that I didn‘t do anything today. It’s a red flag, and you lose respect if you do. And I believe that he was right. „Oh, I read a book for a while, then I went to the bathroom to shave, then I went to buy some tooth paste, then I ate an apple, then I called my brother.“ Man, I‘m such a busy person.
Or, as I as a rational person would put it, I did nothing. I don‘t participate in these games.
47 years old and still so relatable
I like how you really get the humor, a lot better than other people who react to Loriot.
Tons of episodes available...
Every single one hits that way..
Even though I‘m not a big Loriot fan, this sketch and the men in the bathroom still make me laugh 😂, even though I saw them many times since I was a little kid.
Classics! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it as well. 😂
😂😂😂 I'm from Germany and, I love your laugh 😊😂😂😂😂
Hallo D, again! I was laughing tears about your reaction. Great! This is a old german cartoon by "Loriot". That is his actors name. His real name is "Victor von Bülow". He died on 22.08.2011 in the age of 88 years. He was a great german cartoonist and comedian who has his popular time in the 70s. He makes such houmor like in this Video, showing the normal people how funny they are in their life. If you want to see more of this "higher" humour, look for him! So like I look for your new Videos!! Many greatings from Duisburg in Germany!
Aanother Loriot episores: "Das Ei ist zu hart." // Das Bild hängt schief // Die Nudel😎
Großartige Beispiele! The more often you watch them the more you laugh!
Schmeckts?
"Kaputter Fernseher"...ich lasse mir nicht von einem kaputten Fernseher sagen, wann ich ins Bett zu gehen habe 🤣
Loriot was a genius. And his sketches /comics are still so true
Wie aus dem richtigen Leben 😂😂😂
This canned laughter is very irritating, very untypical. Loriot sketches never have canned laughter.
@basicallyhuman Really? It sounds a bit overacted.
I need something funny today, so I watch it again, thank you, 🌻
Haha!😄Ja, könnte so hin und wieder sein.😆
Loriot was fantastic. I saw DSP16569 already posted links to more videos with English subs. They are classics in Germany.
I love how you can relate 100%
This is from a great german Humorist. Anything from him is exelent !

That is LORIOT. Love it since decades.
Countries might be different, but married couples are everywhere the same.
Loriot was a very good observer.

Unfortunatly mostly (only?) Germans comment here. It would be interesting to see, what other people think of Loriot.
I loved your reaction. Now this scatch originates from the 70s? And I have to say some loriot scatches are timeless and some are even break the culture barrier. Thank you Vicco von Bülow you are still appreciated. And thank you for the extra laughs I got out of your reaction :)
Ahh Loriot, is one of it's kind in the world!!
And the best - Its 50 years old. The premier was in 1977.
Hello, I'm Swiss and that's very well known here too 🤡😂🤣🖖🇨🇭 brilliant 😂😂🤣
Ah, you already did this before!
Speaking of Loriots details: The unmodern waltz-music in the back suits well.
Speaking of running gags: Every german older than 55 understands if you're YELLING at him:
" I - DON'T - YELL at you !!"
It's a meme.
We've have all been there. Wife or mother it's always the same everywhere in world.😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Loriot was such a genius. 😂
Ja der gute alte Loriot - er ist eine Legende
He has also made a TV series ("Loriot") with himself and other actors, as well as 2 movies: "Ödipussi" and "Papa Ante Portas".
everybody i saw watching this clip reacted the same way: with relief
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 A classic in Germany.
And real life.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Loriot, a genius👍👍👍
"Männer im Bad" is another great one, I don't know if there are English subs though...
But there's "The broken TV" and "The painting" (sketch comedy, not a cartoon) on TH-cam. These two are worth watching. :)

at the end of the video there should have been a playlist :) we did the egg too :)

"The egg"is also brilliant.😊
My aunt and uncle performed that skit on their 25th anniversary because it kinda describes their relationship pretty accurately
@reactionsbyd maybe you like Loriot Das Bild hängt schief - the picture is crocked.
Loriot at his best.
Its not the real ending of the national treasure cartoon from Loriot. At the end , Hermann is looking in the camera and he said very clear and calm : "Tomorrow i will kill her, i swear - tomorrow i will kill her ".
This is the ending of "Das Ei ist hart" 🤗
Real Comedy! ♥ Nice reaction! Check out more of Loriot!
Fun fact: Today I sent a letter via mail with Loriot stamps! :)
Glad that this classic finally crossed the atlantic ocean.
Der Cartoon wurde in den 70 oder 80er Jahre gemacht. Glaube ich. Bernhard Viktor "Vicco" Christoph-Carl von Bülow, Künstlername Loriot (Geboren 12.Sep.1923. Verstorben 22.Aug.2011). Hat alles selbst Gesprochen in den Cartoon.
Loriot war ein Satiriker in Deutschland.
My late soul - mate and me used to watch Loriot and know it by heart - we used his sentences also daily without knowing :)
You should watch the whole thing! There is the end missing....
Wow, 57.000 visiters, yeah LORIOT
Just look at the Jodeldiplom
Loriot made two evening-filling-120-minute-movies for cinema:
- Papa ante Portas (Beginn of retirement for a former manager)
- Ödipussy (an older man still lives in mummys house and found his first girl-friend)
I like the one Loriot-skit about the hard boiled egg 😅
I like them all lol
Loriot is wonderful! Tip surch for: Ein Klavier, ein Klavier
As a woman, I would never act like that, because I want my own peace and quiet. But there are quite a few ... Loriot was so good.
I clicked by accident on your video :P Loriot was comedian who really was good at capturing the daily madness everyone has to deal with.
Loriot was brilliant. Watch "Weihnachten bei Hoppenstedts"
Loriot is brilliant every times!!!!
