I really appreciate all your DS5 repair videos! I just recently bought my DS5 THP in New Zealand and I am using your video as a guide to repair my own car. Thank you very much, sir!
I'm sure you have an idea how difficult it is to find a video of any work on a DS5. I'm about to change my belt, diagnostic says I need a new ancillary belt, is this the same thing, and do you have an idea about the reduction gear on a hybrid ds5? And any video on brake pads and disc replacement? Cheers.
Yes the ancillary belt is the drive belt, or sometimes referred to as the serpentine belt. Unfortunately I don't have personal experience with the Hybrid drive DS5.
It would seem I have the same setup in my 1.4 petrol C3 Picasso and I'm so glad I found your video. There was no mention of it in the official workshop manual, but I have that little tab. I can pull it, but it doesn't move the pulley (or anything else) and it doesn't seem to be coming out far enough to hook on. Been scratching my head all night trying to figure why it wouldn't release from there. Seem to have found the answer and solution, but our tabs are behaving differently... Have you known them to fail? Any suggestions? Thanks for making the video... +1 subscriber from Scotland 👍🏻
Glad I could help somewhat. I don't think I've ever encountered that exact problem sorry, although I do recall onetime where I believe I unbolted that whole pulley assembly and pulled it directly off. Maybe that could work in your situation?
I did it without taking the wheel off, but like he said it's much easier to take the wheel off first. I think it would have been quicker if I had taken the wheel off. Your video helped.

You're very welcome! I'm really glad to hear that, it's exactly what I hoped would happen when I started making these videos!
Awesome. Thank you. Just used this on my 3008 thp. 👍
Great video,

thanks for convincing me not to buy another modern car

Was pulley cord not releasable without taking wheel off?
From memory it might be possible, although probably quite a tight squeeze. It's a lot easier to just pop the wheel off.

Brilliant
