I never thought about Call to the Stand as a way to force a space in the hand to allow a bomb draw. That warrior was heads up to put it in the starting deck.
I was half an hour into this video when I felt like playing Duels so I did and was able to get the exact hero and deck you are playing now. Got only 3 wins and here I am back again.
Just fyi the magic the gathering thing is $1000 for cards they can't legally reprint, but they are also not tournament legal. So you're paying $1k for cards you cannot play in events anyways and might as well use a printer for
Don't forget, it's $999 for 4 packs of 15 random cards (60 total) out of a pool of 297. And there's like 19 cards that people would actually want out of the entire lot, and you can get two of them per pack at most.
The skeleton deck is built 14 removal, druid quest and priest hero power. It gets the skeleton passive 100% of the times. They use the priest hero power to get all the skeleton deathrattles and kill. It’s nasty
On that secret hunter game near the start - Sire Denathrius really is one of my least favorite cards ever printed. I can see why everyone wanted him dead now! I know this is a drastic suggestion, but I still adamantly believe that Denathrius should only hit minions. It'll still be a drastic swing maker, with a huge heal and a huge clear, but it'll also stop situations where even an aggro deck can just... decide to end a game by dealing all your health with no setup besides their regular game plan of putting dudes on the board. It's absolutely miserable to die entirely out of your control with no setup. A big Mechathun turn, you can see coming, there's setup involved and it's a silly, multicard combo, it's SLIGHTLY more tolerable. A Denathrius turn is... welp, looks like they played Denathrius. Sorry, better luck next time! I am so very salty.
@@0089321 C'thun literally tells you it is in the deck at the start of the game for shattered, and whenever you buff it for normal C'thun. It's not a surprise "ha ha I'm an agro deck but I got a 1 card combo to instantly kill you when I run out of fuel!"
@@louisstgermain8864 yeah but if you see a lot of tokens in board specially in the expansion it comes out it's something to be expected and perhaps to put counters right? There's quite a few for duels that can deal with such a card if you predict it
It may delight you to know Regis that being good at triple Triad is actually a massive boon in the FF8 speedrun, to the point where a computer program has been developed to see if certain opening hands can even win against the first necessary opponent to kickstart the run.
Regis will you ever stream another game like elden ring? I really enjoyed that series and would love to see you try different games. Hell I’d watch you play cooking mama
This is interesting, as most runs don't actually say Duels in the title. There are a few markers for Duels runs. They have the Duels icon on the thumbnail, they use a Duels-only card as the primary card, and they always use this same teal background from the Duels logo.
@@RegisKillbin I think iconic treasures and passives catch peoples eyes whereas these cards are less known. I had the same reaction. Edit: I've never actually noticed the duels logo and don't associate duels with teal so those indicators were less imactful

Man sometimes I’m so frustrated for you Regis. You have these amazing games where you battle it out for an hour, back and forth until you come out on top, only for you to get your ass kicked in the next two games because they’re going so hyper agro and all your response cards are at the bottom or middle of your deck, or you do respond and think you can stabilize before Haha! They had Denathrius and it turns out you were in checkmate from turn 1 and you loose for playing the game correctly!
Maybe unpopular opinion, but I'd prefer to NOT have the little 15 second clips of regis saying or doing something 'crazy' / clickbaity because I think Regis your content is good enough to not need that !! But maybe I'm wrong! Maybe the data says otherwise, but I personally just skip it because I know the next hour and a half is going to be interesting and I'm going to watch it all
The game at 38:42 is one of the most intense games I've ever played. If you watch any game in this video, watch that one.
