Since the rogue took 3 fatigue cards from the sudden betrayal, plus 2 of the heal fives, the total amount of damage playing xyrella alone dealt was... 104. 114 if you don't count the heal 5s. 120 if you count all fatigue. 134 if you count your 2 living shellfish hitting face (which would have actually dealt 16+17+18+19+20+21+22+23 if you found a way to kill them before xyrella-- they did less damage while alive!), and 137 total. If anyone is curious that means, with 20 armor, and Lightforged Cariel, even with the 10 hp, and in a Renathal deck or somehow stealing Amara for 40HP... you STILL die. "BUT MR. TITUS WITH THE COOL KOKO-THE-GORILLA PROFILE PICTURE, DIDNT YOU JUST SAY THATS 137? WITH 10 HP HEALED AND 20 ARMOR, THATS 70 EFFECTIVE LIFE, MEANING HED HAVE TO DEAL 140 DAMAGE! THATS NOT GOING TO KILL!" Oh, my sweet naïve youtube commenter, it will. Because after he deals 137 damage, what does he do? He clicks the end turn button. It is now the enemy's turn. And what do you do at the beginning of every upkeep? *You draw one card.*
I did a warlock Imp mill deck that used harness the elements hero power and a ton of control spells. I was trying give all my 1/1 imps I summoned from wicked shipment shellfish's deathrattle, and it ended up becoming a scary mix with imp-credible trousers. I ended up winning 8 games, it was lots of fun to draw free imps and burn cards.
I would like to ask, and sorry if it sounds stupid. During the game against the double divine shield Paladin, would it be wrong to trade in a minion to pop a shield and then use a face attack with the exerciser? It seemed like there was a few times where that would have helped to get through the taunts.
He did so for the Goody Two Shields, but not earlier. I think it's because the idea was to clear the board using Book of the Dead, i.e. deal 7 damage to all enemy minions. To do that, you need to pop all the divine shields first, so that the Book can connect. Yes, at this point he could have popped one shield and hit with the weapon. But there was more than one taunt. Even if you popped the shield first, then used weapon, you'd still have to get through the other taunt normally, using trades. If he then traded for the second taunt, he wouldn't have enough attacks left over to pop the rest of the shields behind the taunts. So the Book isn't able to connect. Or at least, not fully, and not without losing your board too. So, instead he waited, instead of clearing half, waited for the swing turn where he could full clear and gain the advantage. The Solar top deck is what did it, essentially turning the book into a Mega Flamestrike. Really big brain play, waiting for the right opportunity also above are my assumptions, i dont speak for what he was thinking, just what I think I got from the game
50 minutes into a 132 minute duels run, Regis says "I don't know if the run will be long enough for a main channel duels run." The card gods heard him and said, "yeah we should make this one of your longer ones, sure"
This was great. Regis was rightfully burned out at the end. Maybe a resurrect at the end to get another sheep and taunt could have helped? Anyways this was awesome.
