Was gonna smash a like AFTER the vid but as soon as you made the comment about the iPhone you had me. Nice looking rifle! Looking forward to more FX Crown vids. Keep it up mate, great content all round!
Thanks mate! My next crown video will be a good one. I'll have a camera man who really knows his stuff, should be very entertaining, especially if you like iPhone jokes! Just gotta wait for a clear weekend
CCI Quiet ammo has 65 joules of energy, so it has the same power as a normal 25cal PCP airgun. Pretty much but it is like 50% of what the typical subsonic rounds have at around 130 joules.
Hey hodge, Just wanted to say nice video. Ive learned alot of really useful information from ur last one, and its got me tinkering with my impact non stop. So thanks for the inspiration. I have to say that one of the things i like most about your content is that there's no bias at all. Also the Aussie attitude is wayyyyyy better than the fuckin usa's, im really tired of this shit as im sure the rest of the world would agree. Anyway keep doin wat ur doin, great job again
thanks mate! I'm glad it was helpful, I feel more confident about doin complex gun stuff after seeing someone else do it lol I hope to have a bunch of entertaining content up soon, some cheap air guns and some expensive 22's will be making an appearance when the rain stops. Storm season is ruining my schedule ATM

Plastic mag is such a disappointment for me, Ordered the 455 lux in .22 mag. all that wonderful wood and steel and then PLASTIC mag!!!! lol next come the plastic trigger guards, plastic bolt handles and plastic triggers and plastic stocks! The last safe space for wood and steel is giving in! I figured I needed a quality CZ before everything turns to plastic fantastic tactacheep!
I actually really like the plastic mag. Not into plastic stocks, trigger guards or anything else but when they function so flawlessly it's hard for me to dislike them. Steel ones are available too but it would be nice if there was an option to choose from day 1
Comment about your "cold bore flyers" - this is a known problem in CZ rimfires and can be fixed. It MUST be fixed for hunting. See forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/problem-solved-cz-flyers.3773304/ Hint: Hoppes and WD40
You should easily be able to use this rifle for pesting at 100m. Just get a scope for it. See the comment by "Coountryman" here th-cam.com/video/W-0lC-ReZOs/w-d-xo.html&lc=UggMUVmJNEC6TngCoAEC "Hi mate, zero the rifle out to 100 yards and then work out the shots for closer ranges on paper before hunting, that way anything past 60 hold dead on and its a hit, The subsonic 22lr is a very underestimated round, i have shot out to 212 yards with sub ammo no problem yes you do have to dial your scope for it but even at 200 ish yards the subsonic ammo will still have about 50/60 ft lbs of energy left in it. The 17 Hmr wont do what the 22 cant do, yes its flat shooting yes it will explode rabbits heads out to 100 yards but past 150 ish yards the bullet will not fragment much, also in some parts Hmr ammo is becoming like gold dust, thats why I sold mine, I use a range finder and Strelok app bullet calculator, with longer range rabbits it takes seconds to tap in the range of the rabbit get your reading and turn the scope up, and with longer rabbits they just sit there thinking they are safe. I'd never get rid of my 22lr. and I've had some rifles but the 22 is a great tool for the job. "
I'm aware it's more capable then what I use it for, I just didn't buy it with the intention of 100m shooting, I bought it because it has a long barrel and that coupled with the super quiet "cci quiet 40gr lrn" ammo that I use in it makes it extremely quiet to use. Great for hunting/plinking on small acreage when you don't wanna bother the neighbors. The cci quiet only runs about 670fps and is too under powered and inconsistant for anything past about 30 to 40m, it's much much slower, quieter and less consistent then normal subsonic 22lr. A bit of a specialised set up, I have other guns that I use for more serious matters lol
@@meatheadmarksman2013 Thanks. I'm Strine, like you, and on 5 acres with similar concerns to you. Your comments are steering me towards a PCP rather than rimfire.
Everything CZ makes is beautiful but their rimfire rifles are extra special. Excellent farm gun here in rural America.
They do have a certain simple timber and steel beauty about them. I'm a big fan

I love my Lux. This video made me laugh, made me want to shoot, and made me want to play my drum kit - Thanks!
I love mine too its a super nice rifle. I'm a metalcore fan, if it doesn't have doublekick is it really even music??

I have exactly same rifle,i bought this rifle last year , like it a lot, nice turkish walnut stock too
Its a wonderful piece of workmanship. I wish I had the space to shoot high velocity 22 at home so I could test out the sights with full power ammo
Cheers Mate!
