+Kamaka Chang I test drove it. The handling is much better than some of it's competitors like the Lexus Ct200h and the Chevy Volt. Not much different than a regular A3, it doesn't have Quattro though.
keithrig That's good to hear. I liked the previous A3 hatchback so much I helped several friends buy one. I can't help comparing any hybrid to the Prius even though the Prius is slow, ugly, and handles like a jellyfish, floaty and numb.
+Kamaka Chang Not to mention that the new Prius is BUTT UGLY and no plug-in options yet. I saw some A3 e-tron's leases at 289$/month. Depends on the state, but there is typically state and federal incentives that bring the cost down.
my neighbor got on of these and it looks fantastic in person. i lust over a quattro a3 sportback, but we wont get that here in the us.
buy a used one
i have an 09 quattro
EPA rated the 2016 A3 e-tron at 16 miles EV. Where did Roadshow get 31 miles?
+Kamaka Chang I was wondering the same thing. Apparently it's up to 31 miles (lots of downhills), where real world is less than 20.
keithrig Apart from the badge and hatchback this seems like a poor compromise of handling and economy.

Apparently, Cooley's too cool for us now.
+Sebastian Rosenberg He's still doing CNET on Cars, so hold the hate.
Barely noticed a lisp.
Cooley already reviewed this
"...just on the right side of boring design..." 👍
I'm happy with my accord hybrid, wait for a civic hatch hybrid, and this is a hatchback not a sport back.
I think bmw should bring their 2 Series Hatch to North American.
46 thousand dollars for a hatchback??
didnt they just issue a recall for this or was that just the golf-e? Germans and electrics...yeah
Can't even get AWD
Clicks on vid and saw a bunch of dislikes. You already know it's not Cooley.
