Great !! Garth Smith 's bass and John Maher 's drums are nice!! also Pete Shelley 's vocals so beautiful The best punk rock band ever also one of Cobain's favourite their best song for me is "You Tear Me Up" long live to Steve Diggle and the boys!! Rest In Peace, Pete, the voice of a generation
I was very fortunate to see them in 1977 at the Cavern Club? In Manchester. A very long time ago but I still remember it well. The Buzzcocks were supported by some kids who looked about 13 and had 3 or 4 songs that they played two or three times. The Buzzcocks I think also repeated their short set, an amazing gig and I even got to speak with the incredible Pete Shelly. This Roxy set takes me right back there.😀
this is an amazing raw recording! I didn't get to see Buzzcocks til late 78, on the Love Bites tour at Hammersmith Odeon, with Subway Sect in support..
just discovered this Gem from BUZZCOCKS..i was only a kid then ! i missed the full Punk movement blame my parents! I got on board in the 80s cos i grew up & thought TOTP was NOT for me..but I met Norman Cook then with my mates ..he was playing footie with fellow HOUSE MARTINS! they were rubbish at footie!
Proper punk rock. I'm old now but it never gets old..,.

Classic line " you've even made it with the lady, who puts the little plastic Robin's on the Christmas cake" , gets me every time thanks Pete!
Amazing even at this early stage how tight John Maher's drumming is !
Bass more too
@@joedelaney566 Yes the original bassist Garth bass playing was rudimentary but all the better for it
Classic early punk Album had it in my collection 😢 no longer
Buzzcocks changed my life.

Fuck! Wish they played You tear me up would of been the shit!
Back when punk actually sounded dangerous.
The real sounds punk not dead 🙌
Proper Punk Rock with the blues influence still there.
Lmao who was doing that voice at the start
The guitar tuning's awful (probably a sound/recording issue) but still a great band
ullo
Rubbish!!! (That is a compliment). 😎
