I'm a 50 year old Israeli woman who has been crying on and off since last Saturday and in rage towards my own government at the same time. These 10 minutes lifted my spirits out of the Apocalypse we're in. Hoping for better days and better leaders on both sides. We deserve better leadership.

I hope that at some point in the future Israelis and Palestinians will be able to let history be history (like the Poles/Ukrainians/Lithuanians did). I hope they realize also that it is an imperative for the future of their children. The path which both sides are on only leads to one end: the holy land being a nuclear wasteland (that technology proliferates more and more). That is an end in which no one wins. I hope you all can reconcile someday in the future. Most of the world has the same hope. There is no joy in you all killing each other, endlessly.

Israel stole their land and systematically try to erase them. Like in Gaza they are in the biggest air prison in the world. It is not really surprising that these people that got their land stolen and ethnically cleansed and imprisoned, now desperately look for radical leaders to stop this. Now they bomb Gaza even more. I know it's a complex situation. But if you just look at the land distribution and how their land shrunk and shrunk. Every rational mind knew this will backfire. And the victims are ok both sides. But 10x more on the side of Palestina. It's fucked up. But Israels actions over the last 100 years were creating this madness.

Some would say this exactly is how the leader has divided the nation for power when one subjective opinion like yours is countered, but we know this not division but democracy. Even though he had full majority to build the Ram Mandir he went the Constitutional route not like Netanyahu who wanted to strip supreme court of Israel to save his corruption!
Most of the Arabs have built the power by dividing the nation into Sunni and Shia and then driving the Shia out, but they have been successful.
Dividing the country also has been done by Erdogan he is successful term after term.

They just use those terms because western media, et. al. understand them the way the ones using them don't. Almost every arab in the region lives under a dictatorship nobody voted for (can't criticize). They seem ok with that Gazans placed themselves under even more brutal & intolerant leadership. Their first order of business 18 years ago was to throw rival Fatah members from rooftops to their deaths. That doesn't sound like people who value freedom, rights.
The W. bank hasn't had an election for almost 20 years for fear they'll choose the same thing. Nobody's up in arms about that suppression of self-determination. Jordan's dictatorship took 78% of the planned state of palestine (as a political bribe no less). They occupy that land today, denying inhabitants (2/3 of whom are palestinian) the right to even vote on this matter. (In 71, Jordan's dictatorship killed 10s of thousands of palestinians who rightfully believed it was their land.). That's all been accepted as a nothingburger.

I'm talking here not about the religiocity but about the culture, about the values inherited through generations. Russian Orthodox culture and mentality by the way is yet another universe, paradoxicaly similar to the Muslim one. I totally believe that it is possible to deal in a sencible way with politicians of the Muslim world, even with some religious scholars. But I have much less hope about the Muslim street folk. Poland have the largest state in Central Europe by contrast the UN at the time was under the control of Europeans and the west they gave the Ashkenazi Jewish settlers more then 50% of Palestine while the native Palestinians about 47% yet the Palestinians made the greatest compromise by accepting to recognize the Jewish state that was crated by Ashkenazi Jews from Europe who ethnically cleansed and committed the most horrific atrocities against them , but the Jewish side emboldened by western support and a seance they are the powerful tried to enforce an injustice humiliating solution that would violate the basic right of Palestinians to return to their native home and lands , ironically the Jews and Israel went after Germany demanding compensation and all their property’s and even payments for force labor, while the Jews want and demand their rights they don’t want the other side to do so .
