I came across this quite by accident and imagine my surprise when i recognised myself in the footage!! The young girl hanging around the gate in blue skirt and jumper is me- Lesley Rundle playing with Carol Bonwick and talking to crossing lady Mrs Kift!! My brother Kendall and I both attended the school in the 50's and 60's. I have been living in Australia since 1976 ,but have MANY happy memories of my childhood in Biggin Hill.
Though not my era the footage is still fascinating to me because I attended that school in the last two years of its existence during the 80’s! After its closure we were all relocated to the then new construction in Old Tye Avenue for my final year. Yes, Waitrose now stands on the old site although back then the building was a _Safeways_ .
I was there in the late 60's and this looks earlier than that as there are a few buildings missing - did I spot Mr Huckle, the headmaster? Nice glimpse into the past....

Brilliant.
But would be so much better without that annoying inappropriate music.
Horrible Huckle the bully boy on the playground.
