Somerset is very much the place to be! How clever to build a tv/recording studio…”if you build it they will come” springs to mind. A very shrewd business owner and lovely person. The two of you are such an inspiration. Thanks for taking the time to get together and share your thoughts and experiences 💐x
Sarah's voice is so much like Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's used to be (she is dearly departed). Hearing her brought Tara's voice back to me. Plus it was hard for me to focus with that stunning wallpaper in the room, is it deGourney? (I think that is the brand). Of course the talk matched the wallpaper-- both delightful:). Your circle of friends/acquaintances is amazing and vast (in their knowledge and differences too). You do make me laugh Georgie, especially when you were talking about in future when you are out and about at an ancient age. Such a warm sense of humour.
Brilliant, love the brain boxes and lists discussion and that we are CEO's or more - I have run a home single handedly for 25 years - 4 children, homeschooled 1 plus run a self employed business and created a garden and grown our veg and now I would like to find an employed job gardening no one will even give me the time of day of an interview !
good luck with the job hunt - can you try your local National Trust Garden? I think they are good employers and understanding of peoples' backgrounds x
Georgie. You actually make me miss the UK. 14 yrs in the tropics in a little fishing village on the pacific coast is heavenly but you put the cheer in the drear of the UK in winter.
Oooo! Sarah BEENEY!!! Im so happy to know she's doing well!! Fantastic chat, and quite helpful to me with my microbakery-do you have a village bakery? Thanks so much!!!❤
so pleased you enjoyed - we don't have a village bakery here but there's a a brilliant village bakery nearby with a shop in our little town of wincanton so i make the most of them x
Lovely to see both Georgie and Sarah talking together, both inspiring women. I agree that Somerset is a hive of creative people, hope you both have visited Somerton and Langport where there is a wealth of art and makers, including a glass blower in Langport who is doing some evening demonstrations of Christmas baubles in December. 😊
Your TH-cam channel popped up this evening and I’ve watched four of your episodes already; choosing an outfit for the Savoy, chat with Sarah Beeny, Church flowers and ‘the wine one’. I live nearby in Castle Cary!
Didn’t she have a show a couple of years ago centered around she and her husband building their home with their boys? I remembered the show and tried to find it on TH-cam, but I couldn’t remember her name. I’m so glad to see her on your channel today! Good show!
Discussing the TV studio, along the same lines, for the US ,is a Commercial kitchen. Because there are so many laws about cooking/baking food for sale.
Yes a commercial kitchen in an old farm building is always a great idea - there’s always a business which can take advantage of such a space to make a living x
Absolutely brilliant! ADHD managed results in some pretty astounding results. Not the topic or point of today's brilliant interview but so inspiring, Thank you so much for your advice, support, enthusiasm and encouragement!
Sarah Beeney - please tell us how we can make a commercially viable and sustainable business of Lampeter's university campus, which is on the edge of being closed as a functioning university. It has been the centre of the very rural midwest Wales town of Lampeter since 1822 and is the heart of the town. It is central to an area of organic growing and wildlife -quiet, pretty and miles from anywhere. Unless commercially viable idea/s can be found, all the students will be shipped to Carmarthen or Swansea mid degree and the town will lose its identity. Can you help? King Charles is the patron!
Not sure when i'll next see Sarah but i'm sure you're all full of good ideas for what to do with the area - totally agree King Charles would be the person to approach to see if he has a scheme which could work with the space x
