    I've never been to Ciampino but glad you made this video. I didn't know it has a different name than Ciampino so that's great info! Cute quick insert of Garfield slugging down the coffee ☆☆ Ciao e grazie. 🇺🇸✈🇮🇹

      Thank you! Apparently Pastine is a French name and I said it wrong. Oh well! Yeah I found this cool site with Gifs so I want to use it more often.

    There is actually another option: regional train (Trenitalia) from Termini to Ciampino station that connects with a shuttle bus from Ciampino station to its airport. It avoids a lot of traffic!

      This is true and perhaps it's something I overlooked. But it does fall into the category of taking a private bus although this option does seem half private and half public. You do need to change at Ciampino and take another bus to the airport. Personally I'd prefer a direct bus.

      This is the option I chose when I visited you once, ages ago, I think you hadn't even moved to Italy yet. Or maybe you were living in Napoli at the time. I think there is an "integrated" or joint ticket for this option, as if the regional train fare included the Ciampino city bus shuttle too. I don't recall buying two separate tickets. Also it was pretty quick as there is little traffic in Ciampino and the train ride was smooth. Again, this was my experience many years ago, so things might have changed.

    Is there a way you could get from tiburtina station to ciampino airport directly without taking a bus?

      Hi. I've been looking around to see the best solution and unfortunately Tiburtina-Ciampino is an odd combination. I seldom go to Tiburtina so I am not as knowledgeable as I am Termini. I would suggest a taxi and make sure it's an authorized taxi driver. This can be done by checking to see if there is an active meter running in the car and the side of the taxi must have the name of a city and a number after it. Ex "Salerno 6566" . it must also say "Roma Capitale".
      Because you're going to an airport and often taxis, by law, must charge a flat rate to the airport, I would agree on the price before you get in and I think you're looking at anywhere between 30-40 euros, absolute max of 50. Also, since Tiburtina is not in the area of Rome known as the Aurelian walls, then the price may vary. Otherwise taxis leaving to and from that area for the airports must charge a flat rate.
      What is bringing you to the Tiburtina area if I may ask?

      I hope that helps, let me know!

    Is it possible for me to have a direct bus from termini to Ciampino? Grazie

    • @DavidsDoseofItaly
      @DavidsDoseofItaly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. just google it and you'll find a company that has Termini-Ciampino service. Me personally I once took Terravision to Ciampino and I had no problems.

      All the info is right here. If I remember correctly you buy tickets at the bus before you get on. With Covid things may have changed so check their website

    Hi, how to get from Ciampino to Fiumicio airoport?

    • @DavidsDoseofItaly
      @DavidsDoseofItaly  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Do you have a connecting flight that requires transport between both airports? Well, I'd prob get a taxi, especially if time was an issue, but I don't know what they'd charge you since you're outside of the Aurelian walls. Once you're inside those walls the prices are fixed to and from both airports. If you want to save money I'd get a cheap bus to Termini and from there you can take another bus to Fiumicino. Another option is Flixbus which does seem to offer direct service between both airports.
