Excellent detailed review. Thank you. I'm looking at buying a used (2019 1.2 SE) Crossland X this weekend. This review has sealed the deal for me.
    Very informative. Thank you.

I have it (130, manual 6 gear version) , and I'm generally happy about it. Pros: really light and fast car, spacious (I mean REALLY spacious for a city car - boot is bigger than in my friends Astra - 410vs370 liters), reasonably comfortable, and safe (5 stars), high suspension works in light terrain drive. Cons: gearbox is mediocre - it works, but not pleasant. For a mixed-use purpose (most in the city, sometimes longer drive) it's perfect car for me. I will never go back to hatchbacks (Corsa) after this - almost same dimensions (easy to park, maneuverable), but so much more space inside, you don't have to be afraid of the dirt road, and you can sit straight (you don't have lie down when you get in, like in sedan-type cars - it helps when you have passengers with motion sickness).

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Vauxhall Crossland X, it's great to hear from an owners perspective too.

Hi mate, picking up the 130 turbo ultimate today,,, is it nippy? How is it on ⛽ fuel?

@@andrewfleming6407 Actually, not bad - I have average consumption on 6,9 liters/100 km h (2/3 in the city, 1/3 on highways). And I like to go fast on highways:). The whole 'mystery' in small engines is to not accelerate rapidly (always keep RPM between 2000-3500), and you should be happy with fuel consumption.
One more ting - keep the average highway speed between 120-130 km/h. Above that fuel consumption rises drastically. Difference in consumption between 120 and 132 km/h can be 4-5 liters! I don't know why - it's just this engine 'thing'.

Hi! I will be picking up a Vauxhall Crossland X SRi Nav 83bhp 5 door Hatchback (2019) tomorrow morning whilst trading in my Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Se (63 plate). The wife has chosen this car however, I'm a little apprehensive about it. Firstly, I was completely unaware that Vauxhall's are now all fitted with PSG engines after going into partnership with Peugeot/Citroen. Over the past 25yrs I have had a Nova, Cavalier & 4 Astra's. None of these vehicles have EVER broken down, have been ultra reliable and like the everyday car, have only needed replacement tyres and servicing. I'm only hoping that these French engines are as reliable and efficient as Vauxhall engineering. I did notice when checking the gearbox that it appeared a little clunky compared to the Astra which, by the way are smooth as silk. However, you seem extremely pleased with the rest of your Crossland X. I think my nerves come from my Grandfather who used to say: "If it's not broke.......Don't fix it"! I hope we've made a good choice.
