I will say after the snowfall we had this year, several storms dropping over 14 inches. This plow held up great. not 1 issue with it.

I plowed for years with a old 350 Yamaha wolverine finally killed it,went and bought a 420 rancher with a 60in cycle country blade an it does well, that 450 is big enuff if ya take good care of it!!!
The best part about it. Snow removal really looks like fun. Think I will head out to Crappy Tire and pick one up. On sale right now for $ 359.99 Canadian dollars.
I have a Sportman 500 HO with that plow and I love it. More than does the job and takes a beating. I swapped out the steel blade for a ploy one. And I put the flex antennas on the corners for visibility. 👍👍👍
I bought an old Sportsman 500 that came with a factory 60inch plow, I had my doubts because I could tell the plow had not been used much. The shoes were set too low and the springs were far too loose, once I had everything dialed in I was really impressed with how much snow I could move with it.
It is surprising how well they do.
This is the system we install for our customers on smaller budget. No issues , prob a doz installed.

I just got my Kolpin Plow installed on my 700 Artic Cat.... We had 8 inches of wet snow this week in New Brunswick Canada. Plow worked great.... I need to improve my plowing strategy to reduce the number of passes on the driveway. We also have a gravel driveway & got hocked up a few times.... I do plan to install chains on the rear wheels..... great video guys
There is a hack on TH-cam to put a length of abs pipe over ur cutting edge for gravel driveways and lawns. I’ve done it. Works amazing. Plow awesome 👍👍

Got the same one mounted on same bike as Marshall. Have had some breakage on mounting plate but easily fixed. Mostly my fault as a rookie plow merry but yeah been super happy with the kolpin switchblade plow.

Seems like a really good plow for that price point , we have the Polaris plow , which I can say is nice as far as mounting and connecting but for that price you can’t beat that.
For the money is definately worth it.
I was thinking of upgrading my switch blade to the high rise with poly board. Never had a problem other than pushing heavy, wet late season snow. Video helped confirm upgrading is a waste of money

I'm not sure why you pushed snow towards your house. Does it melt and run away from the house? I would push it all in the trees across your driveway
Had a few different plows for various machines over the years, this one looks a lot lighter but maybe that’s a good thing as these machines generally squat from the weight as they’re not exactly sprung heavy like a tractor or non existent like a skid steer.
Might give one of these a try
You'll still get some squat. but it is fairly light for a plow.
I plow with a 320, no problem at all.
How about the install? We just put one on a Suzuki last week and I've never seen so much grinding, cutting and modifying to make the Universal mount fit the chassis so the front wheels didn't hit it. First it was too far forward then it was behind the winch. Not to mention the hardware count topped off over 200 pieces. You guys seem to be honest about everything but I'm calling you on this one.
In the back of the manual to build it there is a section that shows the bracket to use for eack machine. The pictures were a little dark and a little confusing. It took me a few to realize where they wanted me to mount it to the frame. The only thing i had to grind was the bolt length. Sorry to hear it was a real bear for you to install.
Just looked in manual. Didnt see a install for a suzuki. That sucks. Koplin dropped the ball on that one.
@@sethharman3006 Thanks for getting back to me. All the money the guy saved on the plow he spent on labor for the install. On the off season I buy as many used Moose plows as possible for resale in the fall. Moose is a big enough brand that they have mounts for just about everything. The customer can get his own mount for his particular machine and I'm out of the equation! I kept a 50 and a 55 inch for my 2 Brutes. Thanks again, looking forward to riding 3 wheelers in a month or so.
I got 2016 brute force 750 same plow i got. Plow garbage. Directions got every fourwheeler brand except kawasaki brute force an suzuki. Save for money an go get warn provantage plow front mount.
Call kolpin directly. Had trouble finding best way on my kodiak 700. Sent model specific pictures for using the universal mount. Made a substantial difference in stability and wobble of the plow
I have one on my foreman 500 I got it about 3 years ago for around 200 and it is awesome, I list the plow as I am coming to the end to stack the snow and I’ve made piles as large as my 8-6 v plow can make. I’m sure kolpin didn’t plan on it being used as hard as I do but I didn’t get it to be nice to it

I just finished putting my plow together and did a few fine tuning. But I got mine at cabellas last week for 349.99 wish I saw your video first. But it may have gone up since your film.

Yes it can handle it lol, I used to plow on an 86 Suzuki 230 😂 it even did the deep stuff and it was a 2wd "sport" quad all I had to do was air down the rear tires a bit
Get the tune from RVS on that 450. It will rip.

Every time I use mine on my 99 500 sportsman I've tried new bolts I've tried grade 8 bolts with lock washers lock nuts locked tight Everything And it always gets loose

I have a ‘16 450. The instructions I got only have the 570, 850 and 1000. The 570 looks the closest but its not right. Did you drill holes and whatnot or am I just dumb over here?
I didn't have to drill holes. one goes under the battery if i remember right.
Had a KFI plow on my forman 500 but bought a newer foreman and was looking for a plow for that one.. considering this kind of plow.. thanks

How long does it takes to remove it if you want to go for a ride or something like that? And reinstall it ?
It's fast. Couple bolts. Once you know where it goes, it's way faster to put it back on.

Not sure. Haven't hit any rocks with it.
You should have a electric blade to change the angle of your blade, so you don't have to get on and off the machine.
Not an option on a budget plow. It would be nice though.
In the video did you build your blade to 48 inches or 60 inches for your 450 ho

Because of the way it bolts on there isn't much room for it to move, but it is a little close.

Yes it is universal. I would imagine that it would fit the 850.

It is a CF600. No problems with it as of yet. Seems to be decent
